Hello friends,
Hope everyone's having a fantastic Monday. Last day of classes at my uni was today so that's a thing, although I'm not taking classes, just working at the university, it's nice that classes are done because the busses will be less packed.
We have two debuts this week which means we say goodbye to two songs:
Falling Off: TW LW Artist - Song Weeks Peak -- 19 The Decemberists – Why Would I Now? 12 6 -- 18 Zedd – Papercut (feat. Troye Sivan) 16 4
The first debut is at number 20, Vance Joy returns to the chart with a previous Album Track of the Week, "Georgia." The weeks highest debut comes right below (above?) at number 19 Walk the Moon enters the chart for the first time with "Work This Body."
The weeks greatest gainer is Adele moving 13-9 with "When We Were Young." Other notable movers are Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats "I Need Never Get Old" (20-17), twenty one pilots "Ride" (17-13), The Stumbellas "Spirits" (15-11).
This weeks top five starts with a new top five entry, Nothing But Thieves moves 6-5 with "Trip Switch." Adele holds at number four after falling there last week with "Hello." Last weeks number one just couldn't get a fifth week at the top and falls to three, Metric's "Lie Lie Lie" (1-3) is the third song to spend 4 weeks at the top spot, but don't count it out just yet. Number two is a chart mainstay, Troye Sivan climbs a single spot with "Youth" (3-2). The weeks top dog is Wintersleep's "Amerika" (2-1). This song is just so freaking good, hence why it's number one.
That's all for me this week folks - have a wonderful week!

Hello everyone,
Hope you all had a good week. I went to see Metric and Death Cab for Cutie on Friday evening with my roommates and it was amazing. I've only been to around 10 concerts in my life and 5 of them have been Metric - they just play such a good live show. So in honour of that all of this weeks countdown extras are from that show. Let's get onto this weeks chart!
We say goodbye to one song this week: TW LW Artist – Song Weeks Peak -- 19 Grimes – Flesh Without Blood 6 17
One song out means one song in, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Swears score their first song on the chart with "I Need Never Get Old," debuting at 20.
The weeks greatest gainer is Adele who moves 17-13 with "When We Were Young," in its second week on the chart.
This weeks top five begins in the same way it did last week, Of Monsters and Men hold onto the number five spot with "Empire." Looks like we have a new number one as last weeks number one, Adele's "Hello" drops from one to four. This weeks number three is from an artist who's already had three other top five songs, including two number one's, Troye Sivan's "Youth" climbs a spot to number three. The runner up song this week is Wintersleep with "Amerika," that track is on fire perhaps enough to make it to number one, time will tell. This weeks number one though is moving back into the top spot for a fourth week at the top, Metric's "Lie Lie Lie" creates a three way tie for the longest running number one since the chart launched again late last year (the other two are Troye Sivan's "Talk Me Down," which holds at number seven this week and M.I.A's "Borders," which falls 12-14 this week.)
That's it for this week, the full chart is below so feel free to take a look. Have a wonderful week and I'll be back next week!
TW LW Artist - Song Weeks Peak 20 -- Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats – I Need Never Get Old 1 20 19 16 The Decemberists – Why Would I Now? 12 6 18 13 Zedd – Paercut (feat. Tryoe Sivan) 16 4 17 20 twenty one pilots - Ride 2 17 16 15 Death Cab for Cutie – The Ghost of Beverly Drive 16 4 15 18 The Strumbellas - Spirits 2 15 14 12 M.I.A. - Borders 14 1 (4) 13 17 Adele – When We Were Young 2 13 12 14 Years and Years – Eyes Shut 5 12 11 10 The Jezabels – Come Alive 8 8 10 11 Mumford and Sons - Ditmas 15 2 9 6 A Great Big World - Oasis 8 4 8 9 City and Colour – Lover Come Back 8 8 7 7 Troye Sivan – Talk Me Down 16 1 (4) 6 8 Nothing But Thieves – Trip Switch 5 6 5 5 Of Monsters and Men - Empire 14 1 (2) 4 1 Adele - Hello 10 1 (1) 3 4 Troye Sivan - Youth 5 3 2 3 Wintersleep – Amerika 6 2 1 2 Metric – Lie Lie Lie 12 1 (4)

Wonderful chart! Trip Switch is such a great song and Metric re-entering the top five makes me really happy. Awesome to see Mumford and Sons doing well too!

Hi friends,
Sorry I'm posting this so late, it's been a ridiculous week in so many ways - oh well it's the weekend now. Let's get on to this [er I guess last] weeks chart!
After two back-to-back weeks of no debuts we have three this week which means we say goodbye to three songs, two of which have been pretty big hits.
Falling Off: TW LW Artist – Song Weeks Peak -- 20 Twenty One Pilots – Stressed Out 14 3 -- 19 Metric – The Governess 14 2 -- 18 Neverending White Lights – My Fate (feat. Dallas Green) 9 11
The first of our three debuts is twenty one pilots who replace themselves at number 20 with "Ride." The Stumbellas debut at number 18 with "Spirirts," and Adele is the highest debut at 17 with "When We Were Young," more from Adele later in the countdown.
Nothing But Thieves takes the honour of greatest gainer this week jumping into the top 10 with "Trip Switch" (12-8).
We start the top five with Of Monsters and Men's number one hit "Empire" (3-5). Troye Sivan is once again in the top five, though with a new song, "Youth" moves 7-4 in it's fourth week. Wintersleep moves into the top three with "Amerika" (5-3). Metric looses the top spot this week, slipping 1-2 with "Lie Lie Lie," don't count them out just yet, I went to a Metric concert last night which might affect this weeks chart. Taking the number one spot from Metric is Adele, who had a really good week with the highest debut of the week and now also the number one song with "Hello."
That's all for me... Last week... Stay tuned, tomorrow I will likely post this weeks chart!

YAAAS go Troye. I hope when he eventually gets ousted from the top spot it's Walk The Moon that does it, that's a great track! Great chart as usual birthday bud.

Some of those songs I'm so glad other people rejected... like I can't imagine Disturbia by anyone other than Rihanna.

Hello friends, AAAAHHHHH it's so busy at work this week it's ridiculous. At least it should clam down after this week a little bit - that I am very much looking forward too. Any who, onto this weeks chart. We have no debuts this week for the second week in a row, though a number of songs slide to the bottom of the chart - we may see several debuts next week. Our greatest gainer is in the top five so lets get to it. In at number five is the weeks greatest gainer, Wintersleep jumps 9-5 with their incredible track "Amerika," this song has been doing really well over the past few weeks - time will tell if it can take the top spot in the weeks ahead. At number four A Great Big World holds onto the spot with "Oasis." Of Monsters and Men slip one spot with "Empire" moving 2-3. Adele moves into the runner up spot with "Hello" (3-2). That means Metric holds onto the top spot for another week with "Lie Lie Lie" (1-1),this is it's third week at number one. The full chart is below.
