Hello everyone,
I hope everyone had a good week last week. My week was really rough - yay depression. On the plus side things are much better today and this week seems like it is going to be a lot better so that's nice. Anywho, onto this weeks chart!
We say goodbye to two songs this week, City and Colour fall from 25 with "Lover Come Back," a top 5 hit that seemed to fall quickly once it hit its peak. Our other song that drops off the countdown this week is Of Monsters and Men with their former number one "Empire."
TW LW Artist - Song Weeks Peak -- 25 City and Colour – Lover Come Back 15 5 -- 24 Of Monsters and Men – Empire 21 1 (2)
Two out means two in. Wintersleep enters with the follow up to their number one song "Amerika" as "Santa Fe" debuts at 25. The weeks highest debut is Breaking Benjamin who enter the countdown at 23 with "Ashes of Eden."
This weeks chart is defined by the mantra slow and steady wins the race as many songs climb a single spot, with some exceptions of course. The Tragically Hip move 23-20 with "In A World Possessed By The Human Mind," more on the Hip later. The Lumineers once again are awarded the greates gainer award as "Ophelia" moves 18-14.
The weeks top five begins with a song dropping 2-5, the Strumbellas look like they're out of the running for the top spot with "Spirits," no worries though, number two is a very respectable peak position. At number four Walk the Moon holds steady with "Work This Body." Number three comes from the band Miike Snow, "Genghis Khan" moves 5-3. Sliding into number two is twenty one pilots, besting the number three peak of "Stressed Out," is "Ride." Can they get the top spot? Time will tell, one thing is for certain though, competition for the number one spot will be fierce next week with this weeks number three and two songs, and of course this weeks number one. Speaking of... Err I guess typing of, Adele holds the top spot for a third week with "When We Were Young."
TW LW Artist – Song Weeks Peak 25 -- Wintersleep – Santa Fe 1 25 24 19 Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats – I Ned Never Get Old 9 8 23 -- Breaking Benjamin – Ashes of Eden 1 23 22 21 Troye Sivan – Talk Me Down 24 1 (4) 21 22 Alabama Shakes – Shoegaze 4 21 20 23 The Tragically Hip – In A World Possessed By The Human Mind 3 20 19 20 Banners – Start A Riot 4 19 18 16 Adele – Hello 18 1 (1) 17 15 Dear Rouge – Black To Gold 5 15 16 14 Metric – Lie Lie Lie 20 1 (4) 15 17 Tegan and Sara – Boyfriend 4 15 14 18 The Lumineers – Ophelia 3 14 13 10 Nothing But Thieves – Trip Switch 13 4 12 13 Basement – Aquasun 4 12 11 12 Foals – Mountain At My Gate 4 11 10 11 Of Monsters and Men – Wolves Without Teeth 6 10 9 8 Vance Joy – Georgia 8 8 8 9 Fast Romantics – Animal 6 8 7 7 Wintersleep – Amerika 14 1 (3) 6 6 Troye Sivan – Youth 13 1 (2) 5 2 The Strumbellas – Spirits 10 2 4 4 Walk The Moon – Work This Body 8 4 3 5 Miike Snow – Genghis Khan 6 3 2 3 twenty one pilots - Ride 10 2 1 1 Adele – When Were Young 10 1 (3)

Tove Lo) Zedd – True Colours (featuring Ke$ha)
Chart Extras:
Way Back Track: Tragically Hip – Wheat Kings Album Track of the Week: The Tragically Hip – Goodnight Attawapiskat Extra: The Tragically Hip – Courage
I don't usually talk about the extras, but this week I'm going to. As many of you know last Tuesday Gord Downie, the lead singer of the Tragically Hip, let the world know he has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The Tragically Hip are kind of Candian legend, particularly songs like "Wheat Kings," which contains the fantastic line "late breaking story on the CBC." I thought I'd also include the track "Goodnight Attawapiskat" from the album "Now For Plan A" because, despite the fact that, to my knowledge, the song wasn't that popular, I think it does a great job of showcasing just how Canadian this band is. And for the Extra I picked "Courage" because that's kind of a classic, and I think it's fitting given Gord's brain cancer. The Tragically Hip are doing a cross country tour this summer starting in July, I''m hoping to go. I wish Gord and the rest of the band, their friends and family, and their fans all the best during this difficult time.
That's all for me for this week. Have a great week folks!

Those Adele clips are so good. I actually really appreciate that she's actively said that she hates it when people say she's "not like other girls" because that's a pretty sexist thing to say. She seems like someone I would love to hangout with.

Hello friends,
Hope everyone is having a good day/week. Day off today - yay! Any who onto this weeks chart.
No debuts this week, which means we don't say goodbye to any songs. Though songs move around a bit, though I'll let you look at that yourself.
The weeks greatest gainer is the Lumineers moving 24-18 with "Ophelia."
In this weeks top five we have two new entries, Miike Snow moves 8-5 with "Genghis Khan," and Walk The Moon moves 6-4 with "Work This Body." At number three twenty one pilots tie the peak of their previous hit "Stressed Out" as "Ride" moves 4-3. In the runner up spot once again this week is The Strumbellas with "Spirits." This means Adele holds onto the number one spot for a second week with "When We Were Young."
That's all for me, have a great week everyone!

Great number one! I'm listening to it as I type this in fact. Go Adele! Nice to see Garbage on the way up as well. I'm glad Duran Duran got to number seven. There's lots I like here but I'm lazy and don't want to type it all out haha. Great job .

Nice to see an expansion to a top 25 Love the Tegan & Sara debut, it's my current #1 I hope Fast Romantics can make it into the top 10! Troye Sivan still #1 with Adele close behind Hope to see Blink 182, Breaking Benjamin, Duran Duran, Garbage and the Tragically Hip make it on! Also good to see the chart extras section like you had on your old VFM show Love that Fleetwood Mac classic and a Tragically Hip song that I can't believe is 20 years old already! Hello! Thanks, I figured it was time with summer music coming out soon. That Tegan and Sara song is great! Well, check this weeks chart Yes, though I have to admit "Youth" is starting to loose is lustre a little bit. The new Blink song is great and so is the Breaking Benjamin song so I would expect those to happen soon. Check this weeks chart for the Tragically Hip I know, I can't believe that Tragically Hip song is 20 years old either - like what?!? That Fleetwood Mac song is one of my favourite songs of all time. I like doing the extras because they kinda force me to listen to other stuff that isn't just what's popular right now.

Hello, sorry I'm posting this late - but better late than never.
In the charts second week as a top 25 we say goodbye to two songs: Falling Off: TW LW Artist – Song Weeks Peak -- 24 A Great Big World – Oasis 13 4 -- 22 Mumford and Sons – Ditmas 20 2
Two songs out, two songs in. The Tragically Hip make a debut at number 25 with "In A World Possessed By The Human Mind," and the Lumineers make the weeks highest debut at 24 with "Ophelia."
Last weeks highest debut is this weeks greatest gainer, Foals jumps from 19 to 14 with "Mountain at My Gates."
The weeks top 5 starts with a former number one, Wintersleep drops 4-5 with "Amerika." twenty one pilots climbs up one spot to number four with "Ride," they are one spot away from besting their previously charting song "Stressed Out," time will tell if they can surpass the number three spot. Speaking of number three, this weeks number three is last weeks number one, Troye Sivan slips 1-3 with "Youth," after two weeks at the top spot. The weeks runner up song is The Strumbellas with the super catchy "Spirits." The top of the heap, the creme de la creme song of the week is Adele, scoring her second number one on the D25 Countdown with "When We Were Young."
The rest of the chart is below, including the countdown extras. Enjoy and feel free to leave comments! I'm hoping I'll have this weeks chart up on Sunday or Monday.

Hello all!
Hope everyone had a wonderful week. I had a pretty good week, I'm back to four day work weeks and I'm really happy about it. Anyways, onto this weeks chart.
And what a week it is! I was looking over my bubbling under section after I added quite a few songs to the rotation over the last two weeks and I realized I'd never be able chart all of the songs I wanted, so I made the decision, in the chart's 21st week, to expand to a top 25. Thus. now this is the D25 Countdown (I'm sad that the Dungeons and Dragons pun doesn't work anymore but happy I can chart more songs).
New spots mean we don't say goodbye to any songs, but there are a total of five debuts this week. Number 25 comes from Alabama Shakes, "Shoegaze" becomes the groups second song to chart after "Sound and Colour" was on the chart for a week in December. That song peaked at number 20, "Shoegaze" is looking to best that. Banners has his first chart hit as "Start A Riot" enters at 23. Tegan and Sara enter the countdown at 21 with "Boyfriend." Basement has the weeks second highest debut with "Aqusun" at 20 while Foals has the honour of being the weeks highest debut at 19 with "Mountain At My Gate."
The weeks greatest gainer is Miike Snow jumping 16-11 with "Genghis Khan," expect that song to enter the top 10 next week.
The weeks top five starts, as it did last week, with twenty one pilots with "Ride." Wintersleep cede ground this week as the former number one "Amerika" drops 2-4. The Stumbellas take advantage of Wintersleeps slipping as "Spirits" moves 4-3. Not to be outdone Adele slips into the runner up spot with "When We Were Young" (3-2), can she score a second chart topper? And the number one song this week holds on for another week, Troye Sivan takes the crown again with "Youth."
The rest of the chart is below for your viewing pleasure. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
