It's not my absolute favourite Nickelback song, but I've always enjoyed Rockstar and still do. Great to see it do so well.

Sorry but I'm SO sick of that song to the point where it's unlistenable for me. The lyrics really make me cringe as well. Lol, now you know how I feel about "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore. I wouldn't want a credit card that has no limit, cos I'd have to pay that shit back! It's interesting that this is your favourite from them. Why do you say that? And come to think of it, you're right. A credit card with no limit sounds like a recipe for disaster. Unless it's my last year on earth or something. Come on Jess, have a heart.

7) "My Sacrifice" - CreedI'm betting that if you guys were betting on my countdown, at least one of you would have picked this to be #1. At many points over many years, this ranked as my #1 song of all-time, and when I began brainstorming for this list it was the song I automatically put on top. After much further evaluation, it clocks in here at #7, right ahead of "Rockstar" which for a long time I had as my all-time #2 song. I've known "My Sacrifice" since at least 2004, and it was always my favorite from Creed. After having much of Creed's material on a mixtape in 2007 (the same one that had "Down With The Sickness"), I really fell in love with this song. The guitar work is in my mind the best of Tremonti's career, and the vocals mean something different to me every time I listen. "Life can turn around in an instant" is a really great lyric IMO. I've also always loved "above all the others we'll fly." I would consider this a very positive song that is about looking forward more than back. One of my favorite parts is the outro on the album version...excellent guitar work by Tremonti that really showcases his signature style.

One of their best songs, although I hated it for a long time due to overplay but I like it again now.

Oh YES to the Creed song! I friggin' LOVE that track! Both "Higher" and "With Arms Wide Open" made my countdown, but this one just missed out I do still like it though, it just wasn't as big here so I didn't get to hear it as much. To answer your question, I personally feel that Nickelback have better songs than "Rockstar", but that's the beauty of us all having different music tastes ...Ohh the irony of telling JessieLou to have a HEART

Sorry KP, never liked that one. I know. Even though it's ranking lower than you probably expected, I still don't know why you think of it as a weak lead single. Oh YES to the Creed song! Both "Higher" and "With Arms Wide Open" contended for my top 100 as well. I can definitely understand thinking Nickelback have better songs than "Rockstar" just like I can see how the lyrics would be off-putting for FreakyFlyBry. I agree it would be pretty boring if we all liked the same stuff. And LOL, I forgot that Heart is the name of an old band that Jessie likes.

6) "All I Want (Remix)" - Toad The Wet SprocketThere's something very romantic and euphoric about this 1992 hit. Whenever I listen to it, especially on a cool night, I definitely get a very romantic and relaxed feeling. It's hard to explain but the guitar work here is phenomenal. One of my favorite aspects of this song are its lyrics; I love how he talks about the air and evening "speaking" for the situation. That's really unique songwriting. I talked to you guys about how I struggled coming to terms with never meeting that online girl I was really into, and this song is one that has helped me with that ordeal. I find it to be about two people who should be together, but because "we wouldn't be that brave," it doesn't happen. In the bridge the guy comes to peace with everything, but still "the air speaks of all we'll never be," implying we should and could have been something. This is a true night-time jam...I don't think anything sounds better on a cool, clear and quiet night than this song. BTW, I specify the "remix" which is the version that was a hit. There's an album version that is often played by satellite radio stations, and I don't like that version nearly as much.

Also, great song. The one from them that I really love though is Walk On The Ocean.

Great pick, KP. I don't know the difference between the album version and the remix.
