LOL Angela, I do that all the time. Just ask Bry. LOOOOOOVE "Livin' On A Prayer"! My 2nd favorite BJ song, just behind "You Give Love A Bad Name". Excellent choice. ;D My top 4 prediction: 1. Michelle Branch - Are You Happy Now? 2. Britney Spears - Baby One More Time 3. Michael Jackson - Billie Jean 4. Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Under The Bridge

I went with Michelle at #4 because "Are You Happy Now?", having been released in 2001, seems a little too recent to be considered an all-time favorite.
Of course, I could be wrong.

CLASSIC!
They don't come much better than this. Excellent song, 'nuff said.
I love the way this one builds up and then as it kicks in everyone instantly knows the song and starts singing along. Brilliant, top tune. Cannot wait to see the Top 4.

4. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The BridgeBack in 1992, this song was my first exposure to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and I was always impressed by it, even before I started listening to a lot of popular music. One of the best rock ballads ever, thanks to songs like this I ended up liking many more of their songs over the years... but this has always remained my favourite of theirs. It's also my favourite song by a group... all of my top 3 songs are therefore by solo artists.

3. Michael Jackson - Billie JeanAs one of the most influential performers of all time, Michael Jackson had many great songs throughout his varied career... but this was the song that really helped him become the legend he is today. Its bassline is unmistakeable, and still sounds fresh 23 years later... and it's always been one of my favourites from him, and here it ranks as my favourite of his. It's also my favourite of the 80's, and my favourite by a male artist. That means both of the top 2 are by solo females, from more recent years... but which one managed to triumph over every other song in existence and claim the title of my favourite song of all time?

RHCP's Under The Bridge is an undeniable classic; great tune! And the MJ track, while not my favorite from him, is quite possibly one of the biggest definitive pop songs of the 80s era! Very nice! Top two, here we come!

I agree with Angela about the Michael Jackson song. While it isn't my favorite from him (I thought his 1991 "Dangerous" album was far better than the 1982 "Thriller" release), it's an undeniable classic, and a most definitive song of the 1980's.

MJ is a hit or miss for me. "Billie Jean", for me, is a hit. Great choice! ;D But "Dirty Diana" is my fave.

But "Dirty Diana" is my fave. My fave would have to be "Black Or White", naturally. (Actually, no. I'd put "Remember The Time" as his best single, with "Black Or White" as a close second, "They Don't Care About Us" third, and "Billie Jean" fourth.)

Ooh, while we're on the topic of MJ (and waiting for Bry to unleash his top two), I'll chime in and say my favorite from him would have to be between Rock With You and Remember The Time. I personally feel that Off The Wall is his best album, though. It's just so great, from start to finish. It's the only MJ album I don't have to skip a track on.
