1405 - Havana Brown feat. Pitbull - We Run The Night (2011) - This was her debut single, and an awesome introduction to Havana Brown! I got to see her live once and she was really friendly!
1404 - Kelis - I Don't Think So (2008) - This song was used in the adverts for our version of Big Brother, and I kept hearing it over and over, but had no idea who it was by! It was like that episode of The Simpsons where The Simpsons are watching TV and all that flashes up on the screen is "GABBO GABBO GABBO!" and they all look at each other confused. Of course Gabbo ended up being competition for Krusty The Clown, just as I soon found out "I Don't Think So" belonged to Kelis. Damn it was catchy in those ads!
1403 - Jonas Brothers - When You Look Me In The Eyes (2008) - This was the first song I'd heard from The Jonas Brothers, even though it was from their second album. Just loved it!
1402 - Ashlee Simpson - Boyfriend (2005) - How you doin? How you doin'? What a catchy song! Loved it. I didn't steal your boyfriend.
- What a gorgeous song. And to find out he's a homegrown singer also is just a bonus. He's self-taught guitar and this song won an ARIA award. Can always go back and listen to this.
Coming up... - The Top 1400!
1400 - The chick from #1404 is a featured artist who isn't in love with this Latino hottie in 2004. 1399 - A 2000 pop cover of a 1972 heavy-rock track about the final day of school. 1398 - A DJ teams up with a house band in 2002 to cover this Australian song from 1985 about what life is like. 1397 - This French-singing Aussie diva has as many soul-mates as a cat has lives. 1396 - A 2001 self-improvement song from a male British pop singer that was only released in Australia, New Zealand and Latin America.

1400 - Enrique Iglesias feat. Kelis - Not In Love (2003) - There's two different versions of this song, and I love both! There's the only from just Enrique on his album and then this one. Loved it and really related to the lyrics.
- "Schooooooooool's out for Summer!" Who didn't love this Bubblegum-pop'd version of this classic?
1398 - DJ Otzi & Hermes House Band - Life Is Life (2002) - This cover spent a long time in my chart back in 2002, spending over a year in the Top 50! It spent a couple of weeks in the Top spot and I kept replaying it any chance I could!
- I didn't really understand the title as a kid, but I guess looking back on it, it makes sense that Tina was actually a cat and got lucky the 9th time around Tina's "Just Me" album was awesome, and this was a rather catchy, unique lead single from it. Some serious green-screen action in this music video
1396 - Robbie Williams - Better Man (2001) - Absolutely blown away that this song was only released in three countries! Just such an incredible tune and lyrics. This song was iconic when I was graduating high school.
Coming up...
1395 - This punk-rock chick is sick of you. 1394 - This Melbourne house duo have what you need in this single from 2000. 1393 - This dirty-minded American group gave us more incentive to watch The Discovery Channel in 1999. 1392 - Chris Martin's ex-girlfriend teams up with a crooner in this 1979 cover song from the 2000 movie 'Duets'.
1391 - This Scottish rock band's second single from their 1999 album.

Oh, Driftwood. Such an amazing song! Yes it is! I remember Fran Healy talking about it. The line "Pillars turn to butter" might make zero sense, but he mentioned he intended it to be "CATERpillars turn to butterFLIES" but couldn't get it to work lol I have fond memories of the album, as I won it in a magazine contest lol <3

Wow, you guys are good! All guessed correctly 1390 - Aaliyah feat. Timbaland - Try Again (2000) - It's always sad when I hear a talented artist has passed away (as opposed to a non-talented one ) This was clearly the stand-out track from Aaliyah to me. And what a stunner she was. It's rare that I can go past an encouraging track like this one.
- Ohhhh, my inner-gay-boy sure came out upon the release of this track It was such a CUTE track and I was totally bopping along to it. "Make some noise for the Vengaboys!"
1388 - Toni Braxton - He Wasn't Man Enough (2000) - Toni made a good move teaming up with DarkChild for this catchy, sultry track, even though it completely slammed the male race, or at least one of the guy's she dated Maybe Taylor Swift originally got tips for her albums from Toni. Just love her voice in this.
1387 - Maroon 5 - Won't Go Home Without You (2007) - Despite Maroon 5 generally always releasing damn good music, surprisingly it's not often that I've ended up charting them. This one however was a clear exception. Between Adam's voice and the lyrics and the band's sound, it's the perfect combination for a song.
1386 - Lou Bega - Mambo #5 (1999) - Who could forget this song? When I first heard it, I didn't realize I'd be hearing it very day for the next 3 months, because it stayed at #1 on the Aussie singles charts for eight friggin weeks! Just as well it was catchy and stupid and I didn't realize it was a cover at the time of a song that was actually 50 years old! I didn't even think there were recording studios in the 40's!
Coming up...
1385 - A Top-10-Worldwide (except Top 40 in Australia) 1999 hit from this passed iconic diva. It was from her album of the same name. 1384 - A 1997 Swedish hit often confused with a 1993 song with the same title and very similar artist name. 1383 - Brisbane pop-duo's 1999 single, written for the movie "The Other Sister" soundtrack. 1382 - A British singer's 1998 Eurodance/pop single, which has sold over half a million physical copies in the UK. You might listen to this twice. 1381 - The last 'Hurrah' from this Boston ska band. It was their second most popular 1997 single.

1385 - Whitney Houston - My Love Is Your Love (1999) - Another artist taken too soon, this was one of my favourite songs from Whitney. I own this album and it got many listens over the years. What a cool, unique sound. "If tomorrow is judgement day..." Yes, Whitney, if only you knew.
1384 - Robyn - Show Me Love (1997) - The first song I'd heard from Robyn, this was so damn catchy! "Baby show me what it's all about!"
1383 - Savage Garden - The Animal Song (1999) - Upon first listen, I thought this was the weirdest song and lyrics. What-now? But it was popular and it eventually grew on me to become the lowest of my favourite Savage Garden songs.
1382 - Ann Lee - 2 Times (1998) - WHAT a boppy, happy track set to an easy-listening airy voice! Loved it!
1381 - The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Rascal King (1997) - This was such a different song, and I believe one of the first ska-tracks I'd heard. So much percussion and so catchy! It reminds me of other ska music I got into such as bands like Reel Big Fish and songs like "Come On Eileen" and "Sunday Morning".
Coming up..1380 - A 1997 Top 5 ARIA hit from this Melbourne punk rock band, about being stuck in civilization. 1379 - This Destiny Child member had a steal with her lead solo single from her 2002 album. 1378 - A British dance house trio's 1997 single, which despite selling over half a million copies was held off the top of the British charts by an Elton John single. 1377 - You may mistake this great American woman "for being a heart-breaker" in the second single from her debut 2011 album. 1376 - I was unable to stop dancing to this Italian electronic group's '96 single.

1380 - The Living End - Prisoner Of Society (1997) - Man! What a rocking track! This was the first single I'd heard from them, and definitely the one that stands out the most.
1379 - Kelly Rowland - Stole (2003) - This song was so sad! Well, at least that's how it came across for me. A beautiful, touching track.
1378 - Dario G - Sunchyme (1997) - This track was so hauntingly different, it was that good. I heard it via it's music video, and I was convinced this band was actually an African tribe Who knew they were a British dance group? A gorgeous track, a great music video.
- This chick just took off, didn't she? She's still only had the one album, but she only needs the one when it's this good.
1376 - Living Joy - Don't Stop Moving (1996) - This song appeared on my very first personal chart back in June/July 1996! It was so catchy! The mid 90's seemed to be the era of the experimentation of progressive pop electronica dance music, and I was loving it!
Coming up...
1375 - The very first American Idol winner can do her own thing in this lead single from her debut album. 1374 - 2009 single from this British X-Factor winner's second album, which makes her pleased. 1373 - An Icelandic pop/folk band's second single, from 2012, which you might hear in the Andes, Rocky's, Himalayas, etc. 1372 - The follow-up single (released from this Scottish rock band) to their appearance earlier in this countdown. 1371 - A German Eurodance single that went Top 5 in Australia and Top 10 in Canada in 1997.
