#99 "Get Low," Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz Featuring Ying Yang Twins Peak: #11 WOC: 9 Spins: 20507 This was #14 last year, and peaked in 2003 at #4. This seemed to run neck-and-neck with Santana/Alex Band's "Why Don't You & I", as both peaked at around the same time, both fell down the chart at about the same rate, and both lasted more than 30 weeks on the chart (each). Speaking of "Why Don't You & I", that's still to come. YOU CHARTED THIS? ?!!!!!! You're my new best friend!

#45 "My Band," D-12 Peak: #5 WOC: 17 Spins: 53739 This finished similar to what "Sing For the Moment" did last year. Last year, SFTM debuted either just inside or just outside the Top 30 (I forget which) and rose very quickly to peak at #5. This debuted at #31 and did the same thing. SFTM finished last year at #49.

#44 "Hotel," Cassidy Featuring R. Kelly Peak: #8 WOC: 21 Spins: 53977 The last featured artist appearance for R. Kelly. I find it interesting that he appeared on the year-end chart three times as a featured artist but not once as a main artist.

#43 "I Like That," Houston Featuring Chingy, Nate Dogg, & I-20 Peak: #10 WOC: 21 Spins: 54519 This almost didn't go Top 10. It reached the Top 15 in only its 6th week but then proceeded to go 14-14-13-13-12-11-11. As it turns out, it lost its bullet the week it hit #10 but got 10 because the previous week's #10, "Turn Me On", couldn't hold this back.

#41 "Let's Get it Started," Black Eyed Peas Peak: #11 WOC: 23 Spins: 55546 I thought it was a pity that this didn't go Top 10. They had managed two more hits after "Shut Up" bombed, but neither could reach the Top 10. They peaked at #11 the same week that Houston peaked at #10 (10-1 chart), but the next week they suffered several strikes against them all at once, as they lost their bullet, "On the Way Down" jumped over them, and they could not catch "My Place" or "Dip it Low", both of which were bulletless.

#40 "Dirt Off Your Shoulder," Jay-Z Peak: #11 WOC: 24 Spins: 57897 I find it interesting that this was #11 behind Take My Breath Away's two weeks at #10, yet that finished at #71 and this is up here. Then again, this had a slower rise to its peak. But I still hold a grudge against this song for keeping "99 Problems" from taking off.

#39 "Lose My Breath," Destiny's Child Peak: #2 WOC: 14 Spins: 58254 The third of four appearances by Beyonce. All in all, they've returned to form as a group. In comparing this with their last lead single, "Survivor", both peaked at #2 (this behind "My Boo", the other was behind Janet's "All For You"), but "Survivor" finished 2001 at #26.

#38 "One Thing," Finger Eleven Peak: #10 WOC: 25 Spins: 58615 This clung to a bullet until its lone week at #10, then wasted no time in losing the bullet and going down. Another slow riser, this peaked in its 18th week.

#37 "Slow Jamz," Twista Featuring Kanye West & Jamie Foxx Peak: #3 WOC: 19 Spins: 59467 What probably kept this out of #1 was stopping at #11 on the Pop chart. This is Kanye's fourth and last appearance.

#36 "One Call Away," Chingy Featuring J. Weav Peak: #2 WOC: 20 Spins: 62341 When "Yeah" hit #1, both "Toxic" and "My Immortal" had outside chances to reach #2, but this jumped over both and kept both out. So perhaps it is poetic justice that this finishes lower than both. This is Chingy's fourth and last appearance.

#35 "Heaven," Los Lonely Boys Peak: #12 WOC: 28 Spins: 63066 This actually was rising quickly at the start, but soon settled down - perhaps too much too quickly. Still, 28 weeks on is nothing to sneeze at.

#34 "On the Way Down," Ryan Cabrera Peak: #6 WOC: 23 Spins: 63887 This one relied on persevering to reach the Top 10: 49-46-40-38-33-27-23-21-17-17-12-8-9-6-8-9-9-10-15-16-18-23-40 (was #40 on the last chart of 2004)
