100. Chris Cornell – “The Promise” (2017)His first posthumous release and also his first top 10 hit on my chart as a solo artist, which peaked at #8. I always thought this was a nice song, not his best though. 99. Chris Cornell – “Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart” (2015)This one only got to #19 for me, hugely because of M4B Radio overplay, but I always thought this was a cute little 70’s-inspired bop and it has aged well for me. 98. Audioslave – “Out Of Exile” (2005)One of the four Audioslave songs I’ve Book Clubbed – the other three won’t be appearing on here for a while as I liked those MUCH better. This is nice but again, not a huge fave. 97. Chris Cornell – “No Such Thing” (2007)A recent discovery for me. His solo stuff generally is a departure from the heavier sound of Soundgarden and Audioslave and is therefore hit or miss with me, but this one is pretty rock which I really like! 96. Temple Of The Dog – “All Night Thing” (1990)The closing track on their album. Nice ballad! 95. Chris Cornell – “When Bad Does Good” (2018)Another big M4B Radio hit! I liked this one when it came out last year, but like I was telling Pipa the other day, could you imagine if this song and the Chris compilation album came out NOW? I’d lose my shit… in a cool way. 94. Temple Of The Dog – “Four Walled World” (1990)Another nice ballad from the TOTD album. 93. Temple Of The Dog – “Reach Down” (1990)Yes, it’s 11 minutes long, but let’s be real – I could listen to Chris’ voice all f*cking day. Really like this one! 92. Temple Of The Dog – “Your Savior” (1990)One of the heavier songs on this album, like this one a lot. 91. Soundgarden – “She’s A Politician” (1991)Although this was recorded for 1991’s Badmotorfinger, it was never released until 1996 as a B-Side to “Burden In My Hand”. I’m generally not super crazy about their B-Sides (which is actually a good thing because if your B-Sides are lit that means you suck at picking the songs that make your albums), but I do like this one! Very heavy. UP NEXT: 2 Audioslave songs – one from Audioslave and one from Out Of Exile. 1 Temple Of The Dog song 7 Soundgarden songs – one from Ultramega OK, 3 from Louder Than Love, 3 from Down On The Upside

90. Soundgarden – “Uncovered” (1989)
Not one of my favorites from this album but still a solid track!
89. Temple Of The Dog – “Times Of Trouble” (1990)Definitely one of the highlights on Temple's album, great song!
88. Audioslave – “Your Time Has Come” (2005)I remember when this one was out I thought it was just okay. Although it’s still not a HUGE favorite of mine, it has grown on me a lot and I really like it now. Still can’t believe I slept on charting them! 87. Soundgarden – “No Wrong No Right” (1989)
Songs like this one really make me understand why so many people considered Soundgarden to be a metal band, this wouldn't have sounded out of place at all on The Awesome Show. Actually, it kind of would, because Soundgarden are WAY better than Kiss or freakin' Laaz Rockit will ever be.
86. Soundgarden – “Never Named” (1996)
One of the heavier songs on Down On The Upside. This is a good one!
85. Soundgarden – “Power Trip” (1989)
When I first listened to this album, I was a little underwhelmed by this one - the fourth track - because the first three songs SLAYED ME and SNATCHED MY WIG (see? I can talk like an obnoxious annoying stan on Twitter too! ), but I have grown to appreciate this one a little more since. It really does sound like he's saying "I want to be gay" at the end.
84. Soundgarden – “Overfloater” (1996)
Another solid DOTU album track!
83. Audioslave – “Gasoline” (2002)
This was definitely an album highlight on the first Audioslave album. Great song!
82. Soundgarden – “No Attention” (1996)This is also one of the heavier tracks on this album, good song!
81. Soundgarden – “Beyond The Wheel” (1988)This one is a fan favorite because of Chris’ VERY high vocals. I do really like this one and he sings his ASS off! This reminds me of a very early 80’s metal song. I feel like Iron Maiden or Judas Priest could’ve done this (although not as amazing as Chris let’s be real here). UP NEXT: 1 Audioslave song – from the first album. 5 Soundgarden songs – 2 B-Sides, one movie song, and one song each from Louder Than Love and Down On The Upside. 4 Chris Cornell solo songs – 2 from Carry On, one cover, and one from… Scream?!

80. Chris Cornell – “A Day In The Life” (2016)A great cover of the Beatles’ song (which was Ronnie James Dio’s all-time favorite) live from the Royal Albert Hall. 79. Chris Cornell – “Arms Around Your Love” (2007)Definitely one of his more pop-friendly songs but unlike “Part Of Me”, it actually works. 78. Soundgarden – “Live To Rise” (2012)To be honest I probably liked this one more in 2012. I believe it got to #8? on my chart. It’s a good song but they have soooo many better ones. 77. Chris Cornell – “You Know My Name” (2007)This one peaked at #13 on my chart. I remember hearing this all the time when it was out, especially on my countdown show. Definitely one of my favorite Bond themes (although still not as good as “Skyfall” and “Nobody Does It Better” ). 76. Soundgarden – “Zero Chance” (1996)Nice ballad on Down On The Upside. 75. Audioslave – “Shadow On The Sun” (2002)Great song! One of my favorites from Audioslave. The ending is pretty epic. 74. Soundgarden – “I Awake” (1989)Not one of my favorites on Louder Than Love but still a good one! 73. Chris Cornell – “Long Gone” (2009)I am specifically talking about the “rock version” because the original is a Timbaland mess. It’s still weird hearing him do something like this but I actually like the rock version a lot. 72. Soundgarden – “Birth Ritual” (1992)This was from the movie Singles. Really heavy song, I like it a lot! 71. Soundgarden – “She Likes Surprises” (1994)Previously unreleased song from Superunknown. Good song, but I can see why it didn’t make the album, as I prefer everything that did (except for “Half”) over it. UP NEXT: 7 Soundgarden songs – 3 from King Animal, 1 from Superunknown, 1 from Down On The Upside, 1 from Screaming Life, and my chart’s current #1. 1 Audioslave song – from Out Of Exile. 2 Chris Cornell solo songs – both cover songs.

Good to see the two movie hits there, I charted both "Arms Around Your Love" I forgot about, but I remember it being pretty good; I charted it too. "Zero Chance" I remember being good too from the Book Club.

70. Soundgarden – “Head Down” (1994)Probably the only song on Superunknown I don’t LOVE (well other than “Half” ), but still a great song. 69. Chris Cornell – “Nothing Compares 2 U” (2015)I was never a big fan of Sinead O’Connor’s version, but this one is beautiful. Got to #8 on my chart earlier this year. 68. Audioslave – “Doesn’t Remind Me” (2005)Another one I can’t believe I didn’t chart!! This is a great song. If I recall Devyn was really into this one back in the day. 67. Soundgarden – “Been Away Too Long” (2012)I liked this song at the time, but it’s actually aged really well for me and I like it more now. Only got to #17 for me, meh. 66. Soundgarden – “Halfway There” (2012)... But THIS one was my favorite single on the album. Always really liked this one – although somehow this one ALSO only got to #17. 65. Soundgarden – “Non-State Actor” (2012)“Halfway There” may have been my favorite single from King Animal, but this is my favorite song on the whole album. This sounds like classic Soundgarden! 64. Soundgarden – “Blind Dogs” (1995 / 2019)My chart’s current #1! Originally from the movie The Basketball Diaries, a live performance of this was released as a single at the end of May. 63. Soundgarden – “Hunted Down” (1987)I first discovered this one two years ago when I Book Clubbed Soundgarden. This definitely has a metal/punk sound to it. Great song! 62. Soundgarden – “Switch Opens” (1996)Great song from Down On The Upside. It kind of sounds like something that could be on the Foo Fighters’ The Colour And The Shape album. 61. Santana feat. Chris Cornell – “Whole Lotta Love” (2010)Again, I’m not a huge fan of the original version by Led Zeppelin (although I do like it more than Sinead’s song), but I love this cover. I think he sounds sexy af on this. UP NEXT: 1 Audioslave song – from Relevations. 9 Soundgarden songs: - 1 from Screaming Life- 2 from Ultramega OK- 2 from Louder Than Love- 1 from Badmotorfinger- 3 from Down On The Upside

60. Soundgarden – “Dusty” (1996)One of their more mellow songs, but I really like it. One of my favorites on Down On The Upside! 59. Soundgarden – “Flower” (1988)AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW THEIR DEBUT SINGLE! Ultramega OK wasn’t their best work, but this is one of the three songs on the album that really stood out for me – the others being “Beyond The Wheel” and another song coming up in this set. 58. Soundgarden – “Full On Kevin’s Mom” (1989)This wasn’t one of my favorites when I first listened to Louder Than Love, but it has grown on me since. This one is very catchy! 57. Soundgarden – “All Your Lies” (1988)My favorite song on their debut album. This one is heavy af! 56. Audioslave – “Revelations” (2006)Very underrated Audioslave song, one of their best! 55. Soundgarden – “Fopp” (1988)The first song of theirs I ever Book Clubbed, back in December 2016 during the 1988 Yearbook. I called this cover “interesting” and that while I didn’t mind it, I preferred the original from the Ohio Players. Yeah, not anymore. I LOVE this now. It’s such a bizarre cover choice but it works! 54. Soundgarden – “Holy Water” (1992)The fact that THIS is the lowest ranked Badmotorfinger song definitely says something given that this is also a bop. 53. Soundgarden – “Rhinosaur” (1996)Another highlight from Down On The Upside, great song! 52. Soundgarden – “Ugly Truth” (1989)The opening track on Louder Than Love. THIS KICKS SO MUCH ASSSSSSSSSSSSS. 51. Soundgarden – “Never The Machine Forever” (1996)One of the heaviest songs on Down On The Upside, love this one! UP NEXT: 3 Audioslave songs – 2 from Audioslave and 1 from Out Of Exile. 7 Soundgarden songs: 4 from Badmotorfinger, 2 from Suerunknown, and 1 from Telephantasm

I like his covers of both "Nothing Compares 2 U" and "Whole Lotta Love", those both turned out well. Wish I charted "Doesn't Remind Me", and "Been Away Too Long" was a strong comeback for them, after the title proved to be true.

I don't think Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart made my chart, but I like it. Out of Exile is one of my favourite Audioslave songs, and Your Time Has Come is great as well. I might need to hear the Beatles cover, Live to Rise and You Know My Name are bops, Long Gone is...something Birth Ritual kicks ass, Doesn't Remind Me is a jam, Been Away Too Long is possibly my least favourite Soundgarden single tbh. Halfway There is nice, and of course Blind Dogs and Hunted Down are huge bops. Revelations is forgotten but one of Audioslave's best. Great list so far Jess!

50. Audioslave – “Set It Off” (2002)This is definitely one of the highlights on their debut. So badass! 49. Audioslave – “Be Yourself” (2005)Another one I can’t believe I didn’t chart. Classic 2000’s alt! 48. Audioslave – “What You Are” (2002)This almost got played on the Book Club Alumni pt. 2 episode from April 2018, but I went with another song still to come – “I Am The Highway” – instead. This is a great one too though! Very heavy. 47. Soundgarden – “Fresh Tendrils” (1994)Not one of my absolute faves on Superunknown but still awesome nonetheless. 46. Soundgarden – “Kickstand” (1994)Pretty sure this is the shortest song on the list, but it’s a good one! 45. Soundgarden – “Somewhere” (1991)This was instantly one of my favorites on Badmotorfinger. Great song! 44. Soundgarden – “Mind Riot” (1991)Love this one. Like I said on The Book Club, this reminds me a little of another song still to come – “Like Suicide” from Superunknown. 43. Soundgarden – “New Damage” (1991)Great closing song on Badmotorfinger. Any song that slams the conservatives is a good one in my book! 42. Soundgarden – “Face Pollution” (1991)This kicks ass! Love this one. 41. Soundgarden – “Black Rain” (2010)I wish I gave this one more love when it was out (it only got to #23 on my chart). This was such a great return for them. Still love this one! UP NEXT: 2 Temple Of The Dog songs 1 Audioslave song – from their debut 1 Chris Cornell solo song, but like “Whole Lotta Love”, it’s a collaboration with a famous guitarist 6 Soundgarden songs – 2 from Superunknown, 2 from Down On The Upside, 1 from Louder Than Love, and 1 from A-Sides
