Black Rain was a strong comeback for them, and Be Yourself not charting will forever be one of my biggest regrets on my chart.

Be Yourself What You Are is one of my favourite Audioslave songs! Black Rain was a much better return than Been Away Too Long. Great set!

40. Temple Of The Dog - "Call Me A Dog" (1990)Great ballad, love this one. 39. Temple Of The Dog - "Say Hello 2 Heaven" (1990)This is such a powerful song that he sings his ASS off on. Great song! 38. Soundgarden - "My Wave" (1994)My least favorite Superunknown single, but still an awesome one! 37. Soundgarden - "Bleed Together" (1997)This didn’t make Down On The Upside because the band wasn’t happy with the mixing on this. I don’t know what they’re talking about. I love this one! 36. Audioslave - "Show Me How To Live" (2002)LOVE this! One of my favorite Audioslave songs and a modern day classic. 35. Soundgarden - "Tighter & Tighter" (1996)This was an instant highlight on Down On The Upside. I love the build up at the end! 34. Soundgarden - "Like Suicide" (1994)Excellent closer to an excellent album. 33. Soundgarden - "Ty Cobb" (1996)One of FreakyFlyBry’s two favorites! I can see why some may not like this, but I love it, it’s heavy and aggressive af. 32. Slash feat. Chris Cornell - "Promise" (2010)When this Slash album came out I remember listening to all the songs that featured artists I liked, but somehow I forgot all about this one until recently (before I rediscovered this, my favorite from the album was his song with Ozzy Osbourne, “Crucify The Dead”). Great song and easily my favorite from Slash’s solo career (although CTD still bops too!). 31. Soundgarden - "Gun" (1989)“SERIOUSLY?! I love this one too! What the hell is going on?!” – my reaction to this song on the Louder Than Love Book Club episode, following my overwhelmingly positive response to the previous two tracks as well, “Ugly Truth” and “Hands All Over” (the latter is still to come). To me this is one of if not the closest they have come to heavy metal, very Black Sabbath influenced song. UP NEXT: 1 Chris Cornell song - his highest appearance as a solo artist, from his debut album Euphoria Morning. 1 Temple Of A Dog song - the second to last. 8 Soundgarden songs: - 3 from Louder Than Love- 2 from Badmotorfinger- 1 from Superunknown- 1 from Down On The Upside- 1 Beatles cover

30. Soundgarden – “Spoonman” (1994)I know this song is a big favorite for many people (Ronnie James Dio even said back in 2009 that it was one of his all-time favorite songs), but when I first heard this in 2005 I thought it was just okay. I love it now obviously, but it’s still not my first choice when I wanna listen to one of their hits. 29. Soundgarden – “Come Together” (1989)One of my favorite cover songs ever and – dare I say it – my favorite version of this song (and that’s coming from someone who likes both The Beatles AND Aerosmith versions!). 28. Temple Of The Dog – “Pushin’ Forward Back” (1990)Okay, HOW 90’S IS THIS?! Such a kick ass rock song!! My second favorite TOTD song. 27. Soundgarden - "Searching With My Good Eye Closed" (1991)This wasn’t a huge favorite when I first listened to Badmotorfinger, but way too many plays to count later , this has grown to become one of my absolute favorites. They started a lot of their concerts in the 90’s with this one and seeing videos of them performing it really helped this one click with me too. Also, that ending tho. 26. Soundgarden – “Get On The Snake” (1989)This is so catchy! This was instantly a highlight for me on Louder Than Love. I could add something inappropriate, but since this is the board and not Skype, I’m not going to. 25. Soundgarden - "Drawing Flies" (1991)Like "Searching With My Good Eye Closed", this wasn’t one of my favorites at first, but watching multiple performances of this really made me grow to love this one. Great song! 24. Soundgarden - "Big Dumb Sex" (1989)Pipa introduced me to this one back in 2015 but I forgot about it until about a year ago. How I can forget THIS I’m not entirely sure. It was recorded as a joke to make fun of the hair metal bands who had overly sexual lyrics, but even though it’s a joke I think it’s a catchy rock song, and, honestly, a really sexy one too. 23. Soundgarden - "Loud Love" (1989)My second favorite song from Louder Than Love! Absolutely love this one. Also, the thumbnail from the music video tho. 😍😍😍😍😍 22. Chris Cornell - "Can’t Change Me" (1999)This may be the one song of his that Bebe Reptar likes more than I do – although that might be debatable these days. I streamed this for the first time back in 2013 after I saw Adam talk about how this song gave him a lot of nostalgia and it reminded him of when he first started getting into music. I loved it right away and cannot believe this didn’t take off, this wouldn’t have sounded out of place with a lot of the other pop/rock songs that were out in the late 90’s. 21. Soundgarden - "Pretty Noose" (1996)This one is so badass! One of the highlights from the Soundgarden/Audioslave Book Club episode from 2017. UP NEXT: 3 Soundgarden songs – the final appearance from Louder Than Love, also one song each from Superunknown and Down On The Upside2 Audioslave songs – both from the debut, one of them being my first Chris song, the other being a favorite of FreakyFlyBry’s

I am completely dumbfounded that "Spoonman" is too low! That was my introduction to Chris, still love it today. Also good to see "Pretty Noose" and "Can't Change Me" in here

20. Soundgarden – “Burden In My Hand” (1996)I Book Clubbed this one in 2017 and it has since become one of my favorite singles of theirs, love this one! 19. Audioslave – “Like A Stone” (2002)This song has become very sentimental to me recently as it was my introduction to Chris way back in the summer of 2003. VH1 and MTV played this video all the time and even back then when I was a pophead whose faves included Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, and Beyonce', I really liked this. Obviously I f*cking love it now, but that's beside the point. 18. Soundgarden – “Superunknown” (1994)Such a kick ass song! An instant highlight from the excellent album of the same name. 17. Audioslave - "Cochise" (2002)FreakyFlyBry = triggered. I've always been curious about this song since it's incredibly out of place appearance on Bry's worst songs of all time list that he did back in 2011. I Book Clubbed it in 2017 and obviously considering it's high placement I very strongly disagree with him. I think this song is badass and the video is super cool! 16. Soundgarden – “Hands All Over” (1989)My favorite song from Louder Than Love - I became obsessed with this the moment I first heard it. This song also resulted in a dummy mummy moment from Pipa recently, as days after we watched the music video for this, he asked me if I knew that this was released as a single. SERIOUSLY?? UP NEXT: 4 Soundgarden songs – 2 from Superunknown and 2 from Badmotorfinger1 Audioslave song – from the debut, and their highest appearance on the list

15. Soundgarden – “The Day I Tried To Live” (1994)Continuing the trend of being late to the party on Soundgarden hits (most of them I discovered this decade, which I will discuss later on in this thread), the first time I scrobbled this on Last.fm, I kid you not, was January 2015. SERIOUSLY?! I loved this one instantly the moment I heard it. Such a great song, love the build up on this one too. 14. Soundgarden – “Outshined” (1991)Yes, I posted both the US version and Canadian version of the video. My thread, my rules. I heard this for the first time around late 2005/early 2006 and at the time I thought it was just okay. It took awhile to click with me but now I absolutely love it. And Chris looking sexy as hell in both these videos (especially the second one) is an added bonus. 😍😍😍 Also love this performance from Lollapalooza 1992 with Eddie Vedder: 13. Audioslave – “I Am The Highway” (2002)Another one of my all-time favorite Book Club discoveries. I played this one during the 2017 artist alumni episode and this was the only song I played in that episode that REALLY clicked with me. My favorite Audioslave song and one of the best ballads that Chris has ever done! 12. Soundgarden - "Jesus Christ Pose" (1991)This is one of their heaviest songs, I love everything about this! The video is really cool too although kinda trippy at times. 11. Soundgarden – “Mailman” (1994)"This next one is about killing your boss. It's about coming to work early one morning cause you have a special agenda and you're going to shoot him in the f*cking head." - Chris Cornell talking about this song. This was always a highlight on Superunknown for me, but I've grown to love it even more since discovering it back in January. Love the aggressiveness of this one! UP NEXT: 10. My favorite song from the grunge-themed Book Club episode which aired back in October, five days before I went to Seattle. 9. My reaction to this song on The Book Club was, "And THIS my friends is how you open an album!"

All good songs, and yes, even "I Am The Highway". Not sure whether I prefer Outshined or Jesus Christ Pose.

10. Soundgarden - "Limo Wreck" (1994)
A major highlight from Superunknown, and the fact that of all the great songs played on the grunge Book Club episode - which also featured songs from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains - this ended up being my favorite song played, that definitely speaks volumes.
9. Soundgarden – “Let Me Drown” (1994)
The moment I put this song on, I knew Superunknown was going to be a great album (I'll even go as far to say one of the best albums ever). Such a badass song and one of their best for sure!
UP NEXT: 8. This Badmotorfinger song was actually released as a single a year before the album was released. 7. TWO WEEKS OF PAINFUL SILENCE!
