Week 370 – March 31^st, 2018

A half year ago Taylor Swift debuted within my Top 10 with the lead single “Look what you made me do” (debuted at #5) which eventually become #1 in September 2017. This week sees another Top 10 debut which did a little bit better than Taylor Swift’s song. The pressure was high on Kylie Minogue but she defended her title with “Dancing” (#1). Although there is such a high debut the whole Top 3 withstand this pressure and so also both Kate Voegele songs “Bad bad drug” (#2) and “Shoot this arrow” (#3) are holding their spots.

In at #4 is the new single from the maybe most popular Hip Hop band from Germany. Back in 1986 the band was founded as Die Zwielichtigen Zwei and Terminal Team. Later in 1989 two new members joined and so Die Fantastischen Vier (The Fantastic Four) were founded. They were the first German Hip Hop artists who had a Top 10 hit out of their 2nd album “4 gewinnt” (“4 wins”). “Die da!?!” (“That one!?!”) eventually become #2 in Germany and #1 in Switzerland and Austria in 1992. This was the first time I recognized them and “Die da!?!” became an all time favourite of mine. But if you’re following my chart you’ll have recognized that I’m not really in love with rap music and so since 2011 no rap song reached #1 on my chart, but there had been rappers as featured acts which reached #1. Along their career they had several big hits, but for me “Die da!?!” and “MFG” (reached #2 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in 1999) are my favourite songs by them. Since 2011 only two songs by them reached my chart. “Endzeitstimmung” (“End time mood”) peaked at #83 back in December 2017 and “25” peaked at #100 back in 2014. And now out of nowhere their new single “Zusammen” (#4, “Together”) got a Top 10 debut. For this song they teamed up with German singer Clueso whom I charted three times since 2011. Clueso’s biggest hit up to date is a feature on a Udo Lindenberg single back in 2011 when he peaked at #79. “Zusammen” is a very clever song and absolutely stands in the tradition of “Die da!?!” and “MFG”. As soon as this song had been released “Zusammen” became a big airplay hit for me and it is absolutely possible that they will reach #1 by next week.

The Top 5 is rounded out with “Killinge me” (#5) by Luke Sital-Singh. Outside the Top 5 several position changes can be seen. Up one spot is “The middle” (#6) by Zedd & Maren Morris & Grey. Down two spots is “Strangers” (#7) by Sigrid. She is followed by Kelly Clarkson who climbed up two spots with “I don’t think about you” (#8). Next are line “Hurt somebody” (#9) by Noah Kahan & Julia Michaels and “Still” (#10) by Luke Sital-Singh.

Week 371 – April 7^th, 2018

A week ago German hip hop band Die Fantastischen Vier debuted within the Top 10 with their new single. This week they and Clueso did the last step and grabbed their first #1 with “Zusammen” (#1, “Together”). So I’ve to say goodbye to “Dancing” (#2) at #1 after four weeks. But Kylie Minogue isn’t really sad about dropping down with “Dancing”, because the 2nd official single from “Golden” leaped into this weeks Top 10. “Stop me from falling” (#10) climbed up 27 spots after reaching the Top 40 last week for the first time. Up into the Top 3 is veteran artist Kelly Clarkson. Her new single “I don’t think about you” (#8) climbed up five spots. So for two songs from last week’s Top 5 only the bottom of the Top 5 was left. “Shoot this arrow” (#4) dropped one spot and the other song by Kate Voegele “Bad bad drug” (#5) dropped three spots.

Still knocking at the door to the Top 5 is “The middle” (#6) by Zedd & Maren Morris & Grey, but I doubt that the door for this song will open. Next in line is former #1 “Killing me” (#7) by Luke Sital-Singh. “Killing me” is the last song which had been in my Top 10 last week. “Stop me from falling” is one of these new songs in my Top 10. One other is by Cold War Kids. Their album cut “Ordinary idols” (#8) climbed up four spots. The other one is “Effetto domino” (#9, “Domino effect”) by Italian Emma. For her this is a Top 10 comeback, but I expect a little bit more in the next weeks.

Last week saw a several debuts with one in my Top 10. This week is rather calm. “Stop me from falling” by Kylie Minogue is one of two songs which are the greatest gainers of the week. The other one is “Your side of the bed” (#52) by Loote. For this week’s top debut you’ve to look outside the Top 70. Emma who reached the Top 10 with “Effetto domino” is debuting with two more songs from her new album “Esseri qui” (“Beings here”). “Sottovoce” (#74, “Whisper”) did a little bit better than “Le ragazze come me” (#75, “Girls like me”). The highest single debut is “Do you wanna be love like this?” (#83) by Kelli-Leigh. She is better know as singer on “I got U” by Duke Dumont feat. Jax Jones and “I wanna feel” by Second City. In both times she wasn’t created as singer. Four years after “I got U” she now released her debut solo single. The last but not least debut is “Coming home” (#84) by Keith Urban feat. Julia Michaels.

Week 372 – April 14^th, 2018

During the week a saw a thread where some compared artists who took very long for reaching #1 on their personal chart. As I pointed out over the last weeks Die Fantastischen Vier and Clueso have only a handful of hits on my chart and so it seems that these two artists are good examples for artists who took the longest time before reaching #1 for the first time since I re-started charting back in 2011. So I looked over my chart records and here are the Top 5 artists with the longest timeframe between the first chart appearance and the first week at #1:

#5: Carly Rae Jepsen (5 years, 8 months and 16 days)

She took the world by storm with her unforgotten “Call me maybe”. This song debuted on November 19, 2011 on my chart, but failed to reach my Top 5. “Call me maybe” peaked at #6 during its 23 weeks run on my chart. Back in 2017 she got her first #1 with “Cut to the feeling”.

#4: Ed Sheeran (5 years, 10 months and 11 days)

The first single by Ed Sheeran had been “The A team” which debuted on my chart on June 18, 2011. “The A team” charted for 12 weeks and peaked at #12. It took Ed Sheeran until 2017 before he reached #1 for the first time with “Shape of you”. “Shape of you” peaked at #1 for a single week.

#3: Lady Gaga (5 years, 11 months and 23 days)

She debuted on July 16, 2011 with “The edge of glory”. This song charted seven weeks and peaked at #61. She reached #1 with “The cure” on July 8, 2017 and stayed for three weeks.

#2: Clueso (6 years, 4 months and 4 days)

He reached my chart for the first time as featured act on the Udo Lindenberg song “Cello”. “Cello” peaked at #79 in its first of four weeks on chart on December 3, 2011. Last week he reached #1 as the featured act on the song “Zusammen” (#1, “Together”) with Die Fantastischen Vier.

#1: Kylie Minogue (6 years, 6 months and 25 days)

Her first chart hit had been “Put your hands up (if you feel love)”. This song peaked at #92 in its first of two weeks on chart on July 9, 2011. She reached her first #1 with “Dancing” (#2) back in March this year and stayed for four weeks.

Two songs of this short list are still in my Top 5. “Zusammen” defended its title and “Dancing” is still in the runners-up position. Generally the Top 4 is still the same as last week. So “I don’t think about you” (#3) by Kelly Clarkson and “Shoot this arrow” (#4) by Kate Voegele are non-movers. The only new song in my Top 5 is “Ordinary idols” (#5) by Cold War Kids.

The bottom half of my Top 10 sees several changes. “Effetto domino” (#6, “Domino effect”) by Emma and “Stop me from falling” (#7) by Kylie Minogue climbed up three spots. Down three spots are “Bad bad drug” (#8) by Kate Voegele and “The middle” (#9) by Zedd & Maren Morris & Grey. The only new song within my Top 10 is EDM by Sigala and Paloma Faith. For both “Lullaby” (#10) is their first Top 10 hit on my chart.

Last week “Your side of the bed” (#35) by Loote shared the award for the greatest gainer of the week with “Stop me from falling” by Kylie Minogue. This week the awards goes only to Loote who climbed up 17 spots. The biggest debut just missed the Top 50 by one spot. It is “Clearly” (#51) by Grace VanderWall who recently charted with “Moonlight” and “So much more than this”. Her latest hit samples Johnny Nash’s “I can see clearly now” and makes something new out of it. I really like this song by her and “Clearly” is maybe a future Top 20 hit for her.

In total 15 new songs reached my chart this week. The 2nd best is by German Alice Merton. Last year I charted “No roots” which is actually a big hit in the US. Now she returns with her new single “Lash out” (#60) which is pretty good, but not as good as “No roots”. She is followed by Cassadee Pope who is best known on my chart for reaching Top 10 with “I wish I could break your heart” (peaked at #4 in 2014). This week Cassadee Pope debuts with “Take you home” (#61). Another spot behind is “I wanna know” (#62) by NOTD feat. Bea Miller. While it is the debut for Swedish producer team NOTD “I wanna know” is the return to my chart for Bea Miller.

Other debuts are “Oh my god” (#85) and “Hunger” (#86) by Luke Sital-Singh, “With you” (#89) by Kygo feat. Wrabel, “In my blood” (#90) and “Lost in Japan” (#91) by Shawn Mendes, “Never see me cry” (#93) by Una Healy, “Heart beat here” (#95) by Dashboard Confessional, “Something ‘bout you” (#96) by Sir Rosevelt, “Better with you” (#97) by Jesse McCartney, “Love me right” (#98) by Amber Mark and “Back to you” (#99) by Shane Filan.

Week 373 – April 21^st, 2018

This week doesn’t see a lot of action. Only eight new songs are giving a debut and in the Top 10 there are two new songs. Still at #1 are Die Fantastischen Vier feat. Clueso with their hit “Zusammen” (“Together”). They are still followed by Kylie Minogue with “Dancing” (#2) and Kelly Clarkson with “I don’t think about you” (#3). Up one spot are Cold War Kids. Their latest Top 5 smash “Ordinary idols” (#4) is scratching at the Top 3, but I’m not sure if they will be successful. New in my Top 5 is Emma with her recent single “Effetto domino” (#5, “Domino effect”).

Leading the bottom half of my Top 10 is Kylie Minogue. “Stop me from falling” (#6) climbed up one spot. Down three spots is former #1 “Shoot this arrow” (#7) by Kate Voegele. Last week Sigala and Paloma Faith gave their Top 10 debut. This week they rose up two spots with “Lullaby” (#8). They are followed by Leslie Clio. “In and out” (#9) is only the second song out of her “Purple” album  in my Top 10 which means in my eyes that this album isn’t as good as the “Eureka” album when she had several #1’s. And last but not least new in my Top 10 is Pink with “Whatever you want” (#10).

As I pointed out above that this week is rather calm the greatest gainer of the week only climbed up nine spots. Three songs did that this week and so the award is shared to Ilse DeLange’s “OK” (#60) and the two Emma songs “Sottovoce” (#61, “Whisper”) and “Le regazze come me” (#62, “Girls like me”). The highest new entry is from Tagtraeumer. It is an album cut and no regular single, but I really like this song since I heard it live last year. “Alle Farben” (#69, “All colours”) is a very good song by them and debuts one spot before the other song from them. “Liebe = X” (#70, “Love = X”) is nice too, but I don’t think that this song will reach my Top 10 in the long run. The highest single debut is Klima. This German band released “Mein Herz schlägt für dich” (#71, “My heart beats for you”) back in January 2017 as a regular single, but I just discovered this song. “Mein Herz schlägt für dich” could be the one surprise German hit this year beside “Zusammen” by Die Fantastischen Vier feat. Clueso.

Other debuts are “Sky full of song” (#81) by Florence + The Machine, “Turn” (#82) by The Wombats, “Genau hier” (#96, “Exactly here”) by Sarah, “Nur zu zweit sind wir komplett” (#97, “Only for two we are complete”) by Orry Jackson, “The bitch is back” (#99) by Miley Cyrus.

Week 374 – April 28^th, 2018

April is nearing its end and the weather is getting better and better. While the weather is changing the #1 is still the same. German hip hop by Die Fantastischen Vier and Clueso with “Zusammen” (#1, “Together”) is still leading my chart. New at #2 is Italian Emma. Her latest single “Effetto domino” climbed up three spots and replaced Kylie Minogue’s “Dancing” (#5) at the runner's up position. Also new at the podium is the other Kylie Minogue song. Country pop by Kylie Minogue is doing well on my chart so far. Therefore you can find “Stop me from falling” at #3 after a three spot climb. Now outside the Top 3 is “I don’t think about you” (#4) by Kelly Clarkson.

The 2nd part of my Top 10 is opened “Ordinary idols” (#6) by Cold War Kids who had been near my Top 3 last week with this song. Each of the next three songs in my Top 10 climbed up one spot. So “Lullaby” by Sigala & Paloma Faith is at #7, “In and out” by Leslie Clio is at #8 and “Whatever you want” by Pink is at #9. For the first time in her career Australian Jessica Mauboy reached my Top 10. “We got love” (#10) is the Australian choice for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal. And for me this one is my favourite and until today the only qualifying song from this year which reached my Top 10.

As last week only a handful of songs got their debut. So before reviewing them let’s have a closer look at this week’s greatest gainer. It is “You and I” (#37) by Asmik Shiroyan. She took part in the “Depi Evratesil 2018” for Armenia and reached the final with this song. Unfortunately she only was placed at #6 and so we will never see “You and I” in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. On my chart “You and I” climbed up 15 spots this week. The highest single entry is “We can do better” (#73) by Matt Simons. Some years ago he had a hit with a remix version of his song “Catch & release” which I never charted. This week he got his debut which is solid, but nothing more. The next two new songs are by Kate Voegele. These album cuts are “Not the only one” (#74) and “Leave me Hollywood” (#75). Other debuts are “Miracle” (#78) by Chvrches, “Cry pretty” (#91) by Carrie Underwood, “That feeling” (#92) by Mo Jamal and “Hands up” (#93) by Merk & Kremont feat. DNCE.

Week 375 – May 5^th, 2018

Another week with only handful new songs went by. In general it had been a rather calm week expects my Top 10. Last week “Together” (#2) by Die Fantastischen Vier feat. Clueso got its fourth week at the top. This week they dropped one spot and made the way free for Italian Emma. Her latest single “Effetto domino” (#1, “Domino effect”) finally did this one last step. It is Emma’s first #1 since the non album single “Ma che vita vai” (“What kind of live you’re living”) reached #1 back in August 2014. This is absolutely a long time for a core artist. Completing the podium is still Kylie Minogue with “Stop me from falling” which is also ready for reaching #1. Also non-movers are “I don’t think about you” (#4) by Kelly Clarkson and “Dancing” (#5) by Kylie Minogue.

Knocking at the door to my Top 5 is Leslie Clio. “In and out” (#6) is definitely the 2nd best song from “Purple” I’ve charted to so far. Directly behind is the last non-mover in my Top 10. It is “Lullaby” (#7) by Sigala & Paloma Faith. They are followed by Australian Jessica Mauboy with “We got love”. Then we have to welcome two new songs in my Top 10. First let’s applause for Matt Cardle. He is returning to my Top 10 with “Desire” (#9). “Desire” is his first Top 10 hit since February 2015. The other new song is by Kelly Clarkson. She climbed up three spots with “Medicine” (#10) to reach another Top 10 spot with a song from her “Meaning of life” album.

The award for the greatest gainer of the week goes to three songs this week. Matt Simons climbed up 15 spots with “We can do better” (#58). Also up 15 spots is Kate Voegele with “Not the only one” (#59) and “Leave me Hollywood” (#60). The highest debut is an album cut by Paramore. They are debuting two songs this week. These are “26” (#81) and “Pool” (#82). The highest single debut is “Allein” (#83, “Alone”) by Kayef. Other debuts are “Someone to stay” (#94) by Vancouver Sleep Clinic, “No tears left to cry” (#95) by Ariana Grande and “Ready” (#96) by Caroline Romano.

Week 376 – May 12^th, 2018

For only one week Italian singer Emma stayed at the top with “Effetto domino” (#3, “Domino effect”). This week she had to change the spot with last week’s #3. “Stop me from falling” (#1) climbed up two spots and so Kylie Minogue reached her 2nd #1 this year. Great to see how her new songs work for me. Caught between these songs is still the former #1 “Zusammen” (#2, “Together”) by Die Fantastischen Vier feat. Clueso. Holding its spot is “I don’t think about you” (#4) by Kelly Clarkson. Up three spots is “We got love” (#5) by Jessica Mauboy. This song finished at #20 among 26 songs in the finale of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. In my eyes this song should have done better, but now we can’t change it. By the way Austrian song “Nobody but you” (#14) by César Sampson finished at #3.

For the first time in a while Kylie Minogues first #1 “Dancing” (#6) isn’t seen in my Top 5 after it dropped one spot this week. Kylie Minogue is followed by Matt Cardle. His song “Desire” (#7) climbed up two spots. Down one spot is “Lullaby” (#8) by Sigala & Paloma Faith. Then there is the only new song in this part of my chart. It is “Your side of the bed” (#9) by Lootse. Normally I don’t like songs when the singer complains all the time, but I don’t know why I can’t resist this song. And last but not least in my Top 10 is “Medicine” (#10) by Kelly Clarkson.

The greatest gainer of the week is “Allein” (#65, “Alone”) by Kayef. As last week and the week before there are only a handful new songs. So the highest debuts are album cuts by Portuguese singer Aurea which are “Something something” (#77) and “My time on your life” (#78). Other debuts are “I’ll be there” (#79) by Jess Glynne, “Familiar” (#80) by Liam Payne & J Balvin, “Doesn’t matter” (#96) by Megan Davies, “Highride” (#97) by Nicole Cross, “Butterflies” (#98) by Kacey Musgraves and “Piece of my heart” (#99) by Mayday Parade.

Week 377 – May 19^th, 2018

At first sight it seems that there isn’t much action on my chart. Sure my Top 10 is characterized with a handful position changes without a new #1. On the other side there are 15 new entries, but first things first. Kylie Minogue defended the title with “Stop me from falling” (#1) which is now for a 2nd week at the top. Kylie Minogue is still followed by Die Fantastischen Vier feat. Clueso with their smash “Zusammen” (#2, “Together”). Completing the Top 3 is Emma with “Effetto domino” (#3, “Domino effect”). Behind this Top 3 the Top 10 has shaken up. Up three spots is Matt Cardle with “Desire” (#4). “Desire” is in its 9th week on chart and as with the most of his former #1’s on my chart it took him very long to reach my Top 5. Also new in my Top 5 is “Your side of the bed” (#5) by Loote.

Down two spots are Kelly Clarkson with “I don’t think about you” (#6), Jessica Mauboy with “We got love” (#7) and Kylie Minogue with “Dancing” (#8). The last but not least dropper in this week’s Top 10 is “Lullaby” (#9) by British DJ Sigala and British singer Paloma Faith. Rounding out my Top 10 is the 2nd song in the Top 10 by Kelly Clarkson. “Medicine” (#10) stays persistent in this part of my chart, but I doubt that it will be there for one more week.

The award for the greatest gainer of the week goes to two songs this week. The first one is “Le ragazze come me” (#22, “Girls like me”) by my core artist Emma. The other one is “Oh my god” (#37) by Luke Sital-Singh. Both songs climbed up 14 spots this week. For the highest debut you’ve to look further down, because none of these 15 new entries debuted within my Top 50. The highest one is an album cut by Norma Jean Martine. “Angels on my shoulders” (#54) just missed the Top 50 by four spots. This debut is followed by another Norma Jean Martine debut with “Hang my hat” (#60).

The highest official single debut is by Austrian Andreas Gabalier. I really thought that I will never ever chart a song by him. Since 2009 he is releasing music and he is really successful with his version of Austrian folk music which he describes as “Folk Rock’N’Roll”. So far he had one #1 with “Go for gold” which had been the official song for the skiing world championships in Schladming 2013. Several other songs including “Amoi seg’ ma uns wieder” (“Once we meet again”) and “Hulapalu” (I really don’t know what this word should mean) reached the Top 10 in my home country. Until today I “banned” him from chart, but now he’s debuting very strong with his latest single from his upcoming new album. “Verdammt lang her” (#69, “Damn long ago”) is in the tradition of Bruce Springsteen’s “Summer of ‘69” or Kid Rock’s “All summer long”. For “Summer of ‘69” I had been to young to see the hype, but when “All summer long” debuted it soon become a big hit for me. And as I really like “Verdammt lang her” it could be the one hit wonder for Andreas Gabalier on my chart.

Week 378 – May 26^th, 2018

Last week Kylie Minogue defended her title. This week she still stays at the top with “Stop me from falling” (#1). And there is still no sign that this song will fall down in the near future. Also holding its spot are Die Fantastischen Vier and Clueso with “Zusammen” (#2, “Together”). Up one spot is “Desire” (#3) by Matt Cardle. This is definitely a big comeback on my chart for him, although I didn't see “Desire” reaching #1. Scratching at the Top 3 are Loote with “Your side of the bed” (#4). While these songs climbed up “Effetto domino” (#5, “Domino effect”) by Emma dropped two spots.

The 2nd part of my Top 10 is opened with the non-moving “I don’t think about you” (#6) by Kelly Clarkson. This song is followed by two more non-movers which are “We got love” (#7) by Jessica Mauboy and the former #1 “Dancing” (#8) by Kylie Minogue. The last two spots in my Top 10 are going to two new songs. “Clearly” (#9) is the first Top 10 hit for 14 year old Grace VanderWaal. Maybe this marks the beginning of a big career, but who really knows. A lot can change in the future. The other new song is “Sottovoce” (#10, “Whisper”) by Emma.

Last week Austrian Andreas Gabalier debuted on my chart with “Verdammt lang her” (#54, “Damn long ago”). This week this song and “I said hi” (#56) by Amy Shark are the greatest gainer of the week with a 15 spot climb. For both a clear way into my Top 30 at least can be predicted. Generally this week sees seven debuts. Only one of these songs managed to reached my Top 50. It is a dance track by Lost Kings. For “When we were young” (#47) they teamed up with Norma Jean Martine who debuted last weeks two more songs from her debut album. I really like this new song by her and it should definitely end in my Top 20 or higher.

The 2nd highest debut is by Anne-Marie. Her latest single “2002” (#60) from “Speak your mind” got a solid debut, after I didn’t payed this song attention when it was released some weeks ago. “2002” is the first of seven debuts in a row. Anne-Marie is followed by the 1990’s boyband Backstreet Boys. Back in 2013 the Backstreet Boys reached a Top 10 spot with the leading single “In a world like this” form the album of the same name. Five years later they got a debut with “Don’t go breaking my heart” (#61) which is a clear reminiscence to the 1990’s. I personally think that “In a world like this” is the better song, but this song should also do well on my chart.

Other debuts are “Bye bye” (#62) by Annalisa, “One thing” (#63) by Tilda Austen, “Think about you” (#64) by Lisa Ajax, “Part of the night” (#65) and “Free to breathe” (#66) by Cold War Kids.

Week 379 – June 2^nd, 2018

It has been a very slow music week for me. I had a lot of work for my school classes to do and so I hadn’t the time to discover new music. Therefore only four songs got their debut in this week’s edition and you don’t see a lot of action. This brings me directly to my Top 10. Kylie Minogue is holding the top spot with “Stop me from falling” (#1) for a fourth week in a row. Also non-moving are the rest of my Top 5 and the #6. So you can find “Zusammen” (#2, “Together”) and “Desire” (#3) by Matt Cardle at the podium. These songs are followed by “Your side of the bed” (#4) by Loote, “Effetto domino” (#5, “Domino effect”) by Emma and “I don’t think about you” (#6) by Kelly Clarkson.
The first song which climbed up in my Top 10 is “Clearly” (#7) by Grace VanderWaal. “Clearly” climbed up two spots. Also climbing up two spot is “Sottovoce” (#8, “Whisper”) by Emma. Next in line is “We got love” (#9) by Jessica Mauboy which dropped two spots. And then there is the only new song in my Top. It is by Austrian band Tagtraeumer. Their song “Alle Farben” (#10, “All colours”) leaped into my Top 10 after a ten spot climb.

Climbing up ten spots is very good this week, but there is another song from Austria which did better. It is “Verdammt lang her” (#38, “Damn long ago”) by Andreas Gabalier. This song is this week’s greatest gainer after it climbed up 16 spots. “Verdammt lang her” got this award for a 2nd week in a row. For the highest debut you’ve to dig deep this week. It is another song by Norma Jean Martine. “So high” (#71) by Aslove feat. Norma Jean Martine is a dance track which has been released at the end of 2017, but I discovered this song this week. With this song on my chart she has now four charting songs: two songs from her album and two more songs as featured act. The 2nd best new entry is from German act Kush Kush. Their song samples Suzanne Vega’s “Tom diner” and “Sweet & bitter” (#78) got a solid debut. Other debuts are album from German singer Antje Schomaker. Over the last months she released “Auf und davon” (#79, “Up and away”) and “Von Helden und Halunken” (#80, “Of heroes and scoundrels”) as regular singles.
