I am very surprised still at how For Every heartbreak by Matt keeps climbing, when Water is finally falling I don't know why he doesn't release a new single already. When You Were My Girl did all it could, so it's time to move one I'd say. Did you chart that song?

I gave the miss A track a listen, since I loooved their Touch mini album. But I think this song sounds a bit too ummm, I don't know, formulaic. It's not bad, I just prefer other side of them. Hey! Stop treating Another Hard Fall like that! The song rocks and it's sure to debut in my next chart. Don't let me be the only one charting it Anyway, how do you pronounce Montague? Mon-tag or Mon-tash? or something completely different? lol

All Too Well!!!!!!!!!!! I am also going to debut that song next week, so it's awesome you're treating it well already. But you know, if it could move into the top 50 already, that'd be rad! I can't believe how much I am suddenly liking Taylor's Red album! I am in love. Better late than never, right? And well, Sweeter Than Fiction at least charted lol

Yes "For every heartbreak" is doing well. I hope it will stay in the Top 20 next week, but it will be hard. Last week I thought that "Water" has a chance to get into the Top 50, but there are a lot of new songs out now that are climbing up very fast. Unfortunately "Water" is going down now. As I've written before I've only charted "Loving you" from Matt's third album. Before I'm going to chart this one I'm charting five other songs from "The fire" album.

If "Hush" is formulaic that formula works for good for me. This song is among the fastest rising songs over the last weeks. I'm not treating "Another hard fall"! This song has a good chart run for a song which didn't reach #1. 15 weeks are a long time on my chart. Maybe Lisa-Gail > Madonna is charting this song too in the future. When "Love like stars" is rising on his chart he maybe reaches the Globalchart Top 100. It's better not to write how I pronounce Ben Montague. He can do it better:

"All too well" is a pretty good song from this album. I really like her "Red" album. What do you mean with moving into the Top 50? Maybe you've looked over the edition 147. In week 148 it reached the Top 50 and is now at #45. I'm still sad that "Sweeter than fiction" didn't work as well as her "Red" album for me. It's a good track, but i've got not such a big connection.

Week 149 – January 5^th, 2014

Once a week I’m writing a little review about my chart. This week and the three weeks before saw the same #1 song. Emma’s latest single “L’amore non mi basta” outperforms every other #1 song she had before. Still in the runner’s up position is super sweet teen pop “If you love me” by Finnish Satin Circus. With her social-critical song “Hard out here” (#3) Lily Allen is reaching the Top 3 for the first time since her collaboration with Pink. And it is Pink who could join the Top 3 with her latest smash hit “Walk of shame” (#4) next week. As last week there are two new songs in my Top 10. First I've to mention Jillette Johnson’s 4th Top 10 hit “Last bus out” (#8) from her debut album “Water in a whale”. Also new in this section is “Unconditionally” (#9) by Katy Perry for whom it is the 2nd Top 10 hit since “Part of me” reached Top 10 back in 2012.

After only one week in the top part of my chart I’ve to say goodbye to Hooverphonic with “Amalfi” (#12). Avril Lavigne & Chad Kroeger also leave the Top 10 with “Let me go” (#14). Tolling the doorbell to the Top 10 heavily is Britney Spears. “Perfume” (#13) is reaching new spheres for her every week. This week brought her the first Top 20 hit. But if she is entering this next part depends on other songs and artists. One of these artist is again Pink. “Beam me up” (#11) is a little bit a slow performer. In its 9th week this song is peaking at a new high. Or are Sido feat. Mark Forster and Christina Aguilera doing the last step?

After stopping the downfall some weeks ago Tal feat. Flo Rida are now definitely on their way down the chart. They dropped 23 spots with “Danse” (#57). Doing better is another K-Pop song. This time it’s “Confused” (#61) by AOA which is this week’s greatest gainer. Both songs are better placed than this week’s highest debut which comes by Portuguese star Aurea who debuts this week with three songs from “Soul notes”. The highest is “Do what’s best for you” (#66). The others are “Twice upon a time” (#82) and “I think I’m in love (counting planes)” (#85).

The highest debut by an official single comes from Swiss born Slovakian singer Celeste Buckingham. “Crushin’ my fairytale” (#77) is another big hit for her in Slovakia and could definitely achieve the Top 50 or even more. If this song becomes her 2nd Top 10 hit is written in the stars. There is an interesting fact about this week’s debuts. For the first time I’m debuting a cover and the original version in the same week. It happens because I first heard the cover “All my love” (#89) by Czech singer Lenny who is 19years old. This version had been released in autumn 2013. The original version is by Australian Rock singer Dallas Frasca who released her single back in 2012 in Australia. In Europe her album “Sound painter” and single were also released in autumn 2013. In the long run I maybe prefer Lenny’s version because her voice smokier and scratchier which brings this song to another level. You should definitely check this song out and decide by your own which version you prefer more.

Other debuts are “À l’international” (#78, “International”) by Tal, “I wish I could break your heart” (#83) by Cassadee Pope, “No angel” (#86) by Birdy, “Smalltown boy” (#95) by Cornerstone, “Why ya wanna” (#96) by Jana Kramer, “The new kings” (#97) by Vicetone vs. Popeska feat. Luciana, “Atemlos” (#98, “Breathless”) by Lumaraa and “My oh my” (#100) by Girl’s Generation.

Week 150 – January 12^th, 2014

Could it be? Yes it could. Emma is again at the top with “L’amore non mi basta”. Since last year in February when “Torpedo” by Jillette Johnson started topping the chart no other song stayed longer at #1. After some weeks where the Top 3 remained the same this week there is a little change. Lily Allen’s catchy song “Hard out here” is now in the runner’s up position and Pink gains another Top 3 hit with “Walk of shame”. Nearly a year ago Jillette Johnson debuted with “Torpedo”. This week she made an inter sprint with “Last bus out” (#4). All of the former #1’s in the Top 10 dropped at least two spots and will be replaced within the next weeks. For one super star this week it is the debut in this part of the chart. Britney Spears climbed up four spots with “Perfume” (#9).

The next part sees a lot of widely known artist from Miley Cyrus over Colbie Caillat to Jessie J or German rapper Sido. Most of these artists have common that they have no Top 10 hit on my chart. The best chance to change this has Sido with Mark Forster and their song “Einer dieser Steine” (#13). But there are a lot of great songs which have this opportunity and it will be wrong to point out only one song. “Wrecking ball” (#14), “Hush” (#15), “Hold on” (#19), “Thunder” (#20) or “Human” (#21) are on the short list for a Top 10 debut.

After two weeks where Korean songs sprinted up the chart this week it’s a country song which did best this week. Cassadee Pope had a charting song before, but “I wish I could break your heart” (#54) is doing better. This week this song climbed up 29 spots and is the greatest gainer of the week. By a narrow margin above is this week’s highest debut. It’s a promotional (free downloadable) single by Jillette Johnson. With “True north” (#51) she has now four songs at once on my chart which is pretty good.

Jillette Johnson’s highest debut is followed by a German band who had last year a Top 50 hit with “Maschine” (“Machine”). “Sammelst du Herzen” (#72, “Collecting hearts”) is a very clever love song which also should reach the Top 50 in the next weeks. I hope that they will release a video for this song too, but the lyric video isn’t bad. The next three debuts are all coming from Switzerland. First two are from my favourite band 77 Bombay Street. They are placing two more songs from their 2nd album “Oko Town” on my chart. “Clown” (#75) is doing a little bit better than “Seeker” (#76). The 3rd one has a very interesting sound. The song is called “City of sound” (#83) and is by the unknown band BluePearl.

Other debuts are “Say it like you mean it” (#85) by New Empire, “Atemlos durch die Nacht” (#86) by Helene Fischer which will be the biggest Schlager hit in Germany and Austria since years, “One the inside” (#87) by Kyle Kupecky, “I’ll carry you” (#91) by Ladies Of Soul a super group from the Netherlands, “Alone together” (#92) by Fall Out Boy, “Sweet talk” (#94) by Hien and “The one that got away” (#95) by Jake Owen.

Week 151 – January 19^th, 2014

Here’s what I’m gonna do. I’m writing the review for the 151st edition of my chart. For a sixth week in a row Italian singer Emma is topping the chart with “L’amore non mi basta”. This song is now tying 2nd place for the longest strike at the top with “Torpedo” by Jillette Johnson and “Explode” by Cover Drive feat. Dappy. Two more weeks this song is equalising “Receive” by Alanis Morissette and four more weeks Emma is also reaching 10 weeks at the top as “Receive” did back 2012/2013. For a second week Lily Allen’s “Hard out here” is in the runner’s up position and next week this song could debut at #1 in Austria. The podium completing is Jillette Johnson with her beautiful song “Last bus out” (#3).

Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally” (#4) is her first big hit beside “Part of me” on my chart. For the first time she reached Top 5 and she only needs to climb up one spot to reach Top 3. In her fairway is Britney Spears. “Perfume” (#6) is such a nice song that she is repairing her standing with all the sad singles she released in the last years. Behind these two superstars two new songs entered Top 10. “Hush” (#9) is the first K-Pop song within a half year reaching Top 10 and following last year’s biggest K-Pop hit “Wild” by 9Muses. The other one comes from German rapper Sido with singer Mark Forster. “Einer dieser Steine” (#10, “One of those stones”) is also their first Top 10 hit.

The top 10 lost two big hits from the last weeks. “Dimentico tutto” (#13) topped the chart for three weeks and is now outside the Top 10 after 12 weeks. We also have to say goodbye to Lady Gaga’s & R. Kelly’s first Top 10 hit “Do what U want” (#17). Generally in between 11 and 20 there are several good songs. New in this section is a new favourite of mine. Guy Sebastian is a star in Down Under, but elsewhere he hasn’t got a lot attention. With “Like a drum” (#19) he did quite well in Australia where he is in the Top 10 since 10 weeks. This week he climbed up another five spots in its 8th week with this song and is ready for a Top 10 hit.

The greatest gainer of the week also comes from Down Under. It’s not a pop song like “Like a drum”. It’s an Indie pop/rock song by unknown band New Empire. Their chart debut single “Say it like you mean it” (#49) shot up 36 spots to reach the band’s first Top 50 hit. A sensation is this week’s highest debut. It is by band from Ireland which had its best time back in the 1990’s. Last year they released a comeback single which I found out some weeks ago. This week B*Witched entered my chart with their comeback single “Love and money” (#32) which I’m enjoying like their older hits like “Blame it on the weatherman”.

In Austria a new Casting show was launched some weeks ago. “Herz von Österreich” (“Heart from Austria”) is music talent show where only acts from Austria with Austrian/German songs can appreciate. So far this show has seen a lot of covers from older Austrian classics, but some of the bands or singers are presenting their own stuff. One of this new stuff got immediately my attention. “Sinn” (“Meaning”) by Tagträumer was released shortly after the TV show as a single and reached Top 10 on iTunes. In the end this helped them to get into the final round of the show. On my chart this interesting song debuted at #65. The video I’ve linked only shows an acoustic version.

Other debuts are “Beautiful” (#71) by Jessica Mauboy, the two album cuts “Slow it down” (#72) and “When the world breaks your heart” (#73) by Goo Goo Dolls, the free downloadable single “So much more” (#74) by Candice Russell which is from her debut album of the same name, “What if I was nothing” (#86) by All That Remains, “Changer” (#89, “Change”) by Maître Gims, “Mother” (#90) by Lita Ford, “Turn it up” (#94) by Wanessa feat. Soulja Boy, “Fire” (#95) by SICI, “The fire” (#98) by Elin Bergman and “Missing you” (#99) by 2ne1.

Week 152 – January 26^th, 2014

Nothing new at the top of my chart. Emma is holding the top position with “L’amore non mi basta” for a 7th week consecutive week. The whole Top 10 is characterized by only position changes and a new song. So Jillette Johnson climbed up one with “Last bus out” (#2) and pushed back British darling Lily Allen with her smash “Hard out here” (#3). Pushing nearly into the Top 3 is Britney Spears. “Perfume” (#4) climbed up two spots is now in front of the Top 3. The only new song in this section is “Hold on” (#8) by Colbie Caillat. It’s her first Top 10 hit on my chart and for me it is one of her best songs since her debut with “Bubbly”.

Former #1 “Love like stars” (#15) by Ben Montague was replaced by “Hold on”. Like last week several songs are trying to do the last step. At the moment I believe that it comes to a duel between “Like a drum” (#13) by Guy Sebastian and Christina Perri’s “Human” (#14). But you should not forget B*Witched with their comeback song “Love and money” (#20) which shot straight into the Top 20 in its 2nd week.

Surprisingly climbing up was “Sweet talk” (#53) by Hungarian singer Hien. Until last week this song was caught in the last section of my chart. This week “Sweet talk” sprinted to a new peak and reached nearly the Top 50. Therefore she outperformed all of her other singles I charted last year and this song is this week’s greatest gainer. As always the greatest gainer is followed in this review by the highest debut. Speaking about a high debut is a little bit ridiculous this week. Sure there are a bunch of debuts as every week, but the highest one can only be found outside the best 70 tracks.

This week’s highest debut is a collaboration between two of the best know singers in music business in these days. Shakira teamed up with Rihanna for “Can’t remember to forget you” (#71). Both have done better in the past while Rihanna recently reached Top 10 with another collaboration (“The monster”). The future will prove if this song will perform better than this low start. One spot behind Pixie Lott debuts with her new single “Nasty” (#72). It sounds interesting, but we will see if it will reach Top 10 like “All about tonight” did back in 2011. While “Es geht bis zu den Wolken” (#89) is on its way out of the chart Luna Simao debuted this week with two more songs from her debut EP. “Nordisch by Nature” (#73) is not a cover from a song by Fettes Brot and did a little bit better than “Air Force 1” (#74).

Other debuts are “Crying for no reason” (#86) by Katy B, “Goodness gracious” (#90) by Ellie Goulding, “Ready set go” (#93) by Royal Tailor feat. Capital Kings, “How could I want more” (#95) by Jamie Lynn Spears, “A um passo do céu” (#96, “A step from heaven) by Portuguese boy band No Stress, “Listening” (#98) by Tonight Alive, “Wild” (#99) by Erik Rapp and “Voodoo doll” (#100) by VIXX.

Week 153 – February 01^st, 2014

For the eight consecutive weeks Emma is singing about that love isn’t enough at the top of my chart. “L’amore non mi basta” (#1) is now the 2nd most successful song leading the chart. Only “Receive” by Alanis Morissette stayed longer at #1, but after eight weeks this song had a break of four weeks before it reached week 9 and 10 at the top. “L’amore non mi basta” is followed by Jillette Johnson’s “Last bas out” (#2) which finished 2nd after a though decision for Emma. Austria’s new #1 song “Hard out here” (#3) by Lily Allen completes the podium on my chart. While several of the K-Pop songs left my chart this week miss A reached Top 5 with “Hush” (#5). For Australian singer Guy Sebastian is edition no. 153 his first week in my Top 10. “Like a drum” (#8) is super catchy and climbed up five spots to this new peak. The other new song in this part of the chart is “Thunder” (#9). For Jessie J it’s her 3rd Top 10 hit. These songs replaced Satin Circus’ “If you love me” (#15) and “Einer dieser Steine” (#16) by Sido feat. Mark Forster.

Christina Perri is trying hard for reaching her 2nd Top 10 hit. “Human” (#11) is a powerful song and could do the last step next week if … . Yes, there are some songs that could outperform her. One song is an Austro-Pop song by newcomer band Tagträumer (“Daydreamer”). First performed in “Herz von Österreich” their song “Sinn” (#12) is rising up the chart fast. The song itself is well-written about the theme of doing everything for a girl which is not enough. Some of the lines make me smile and I really like the catchy chorus. Another song is “Love and money” (#13). This song by B*Witched is also in its 3rd chart week and has everything which is needed for a Top 10 hit.

And then there is the highest debut of the week. Remember back in 2012 German band Jennifer Rostock reached #1 with their powerful ballad “Ich kann nicht mehr” (“I can’t”). In these weeks they released their latest album “Schlaflos” (“Sleepless”). They released several singles in autumn of 2013 to promote this album, but all of these songs failed to chart, because I don’t like them. But their latest single is far different from these singles and "Ich kann nicht mehr". “K.B.A.G” (#20) which stands for “Kein Bock aber Gästeliste” (“No desire but guest list”) is a critical song about the music industry. The first part of the refrain

„Wir brauchen eine Hug, die irgendwen berührt. (We need a hookline that touches anyone)
Und wir brauchen einen Text, den jeder gleich kapiert. (And we need a text that everyone understands immediately)
Und wir brauchen einen Sound, der im Radio funktioniert. (And we need a sound that works on the radio)
Und dazu eine Fanbase, die kräftig konsumiert. (And as well a fan base that consumes strong)

Wir brauchen eine Corporate Identity, (We need a coroporate identity)
einen Look um die Boxen an der Tournee. (a look round the boxes on tour)
Wir brauchen einen Hit, der die Miete finanziert. (We need a hit which finances the rent)
Und wo kriegen wir ein Feature her, das keinen intressiert?“ (And where do we get a feature that interests no one?)

definitely describes what is needed to get a big hit, but at the end of the refrain they sing “It is good as it is, should remain as it was”. And sure Jennifer Rostock should not bend themselves even I don’t like most of their songs when they have one or two songs like this one on their albums. Maybe they reach Top 10 in the next weeks which will be another music industry critical song beside “Hard out here” in my Top 10 in these days.

“K.B.A.G.” isn’t they only debut in this week’s Top 50. Four more songs are debuting within the Top 50 and two more songs are by German bands. Before I’m writing about these songs let’s go to greatest gainer of the week. And how else could it be? A German song climbed up 25 spots. Helene Fischer is going to dominate the charts in Austria, Germany and Switzerland with “Atemlos durch die Nacht”. Schlager is not my genre, but this song orients on modern English dance pop songs which make this song pretty good.

The 2nd best debut this week is an album cut by Avril Lavinge’s latest self-titled album. “17” (#43) is a very good song out of this album and is the higher of two debuts she had this week. Not far behind US country band The Band Perry give their debut with “Don’t let me be lonely” (#49). They had some hits before, but this one is the first I got into. Then there are the two mentioned German songs. The first is by Luxuslärm who had a Top 10 hit on my chart back in Winter 2012 with “Atemlos” (“Breathless”). Their first single “Durchdrehen” (#48, “Spinning”) from “Alles was du willst” (“Everything you want”) is more dance oriented then “Atemlos” and could be a decent hit on my chart.

The other German song is by Revolverheld. Over the last weeks I charted several songs from their latest album including their singles “Immer in Bewegung” (“Always on the move”) and “Das kann uns keiner nehmen” (“This can take us no one”). Their 3rd single from “Immer in Bewegung” is “Ich lass das Licht für dich an” (#50 “I’ll leave the light on for you“). This one is a beautiful love song about doing everything for another person even If you don’t like the things the partner loves. This is one of my favourite songs on this album. The video is a kinda cute, because it includes a marriage proposal from a friend of singer Johannes Strate to this song.

Other debuts beside the mentioned are “Der letzte Sommerregen” (#60, “The last summer rain”) by Isabelle Schmidt which is a promotional single, “Geh nicht” (#61, “Don’t go”) by Gleis 8, “Lieder” (#62, “Songs) by Adel Tawil which is the first re-entry since “Heart skips a beat” by Olly Murs back in 2012, “Long live Rock N Roll” (#63) by Daughtry which has the same theme as “Lieder”, “Bitchin’ summer” (#73) by Avril Lavigne, “Animal heart” (#85) by Nina Persson, “Young” (#87) by Fresh Ré, “Instant repeater” (#94) by Agnes, “Say heaven, say hell” (#95) by Miss Montreal and “Killing me” (#100) by Jens Hult.

Five weeks are a long time. At the moment Emma is a little bit out of the league. It's hard to say if Jillette Johnson is going over Emma this week. Ben Montague spent 12 weeks and Satin Circus 11 weeks in the Top 10. So far their songs are among the Top 50 songs I've charted for staying within the Top 10. This is still great. I think these songs will be stable at their positions or will not lose more spots than in the past.

Yes, there is no Matt song in the chart, but he will come back in about two or three three weeks witho two more songs from "The fire".

Week 154 – February 08^th, 2014

She did it again. Since nine weeks Emma’s “L’amore non mi basta” is leading the pack. In the runner’s up position is for another week “Last bus out” by Jillette Johnson. The female domination continues on the podium. Britney Spears finally reached the Top 3 with her smash “Perfume” (#3). Only two male acts are in my Top 10 this week. While Guy Sebastian debuted last week in the Top 10 he didn’t move this week with “Like a drum” (#8). The other male act is an Austrian newcomer band. Tagträumer was formed last year and released their first single immediately after participating in “Herz von Österreich” as Top 3 contestant in this particular live show. “Sinn” (#7) continued the run with a climb of five spots. While Tagträumer got their first Top 10 hit Christina Perri grabbed her second with “Human” (#10).

“Human” prevented that Ireland’s girl band B*Witched got their first Top 10 hit with “Love and money” (#11). They are doing well, but the last step is still missing. In their shadow is Cassadee Pope with her country pop ballad “I wish I could break your heart” (#12). This is getting better with every listen. Jillette Johnson is trying to get her second #1 with “Last bus out”, but her latest regular single “True north” (#19) is also on its way. Maybe this song could be seen in the Top 10 by next week. Or is it last week’s top debut “K.B.A.G.” (#17) by Jennifer Rostock or “Do what’s best for you” (#18) by Aurea which rose 12 spots?

Phenomenal German love song “Ich lass dass Licht für dich an” (#24) by Revolverheld made a big leap in its second week and is this week’s greatest gainer. All other last week’s debut struggled a little bit so this song deserved to be the greatest gainer. If you’re looking over the chart you will find out that this week’s highest debut is outside the Top 60. It comes from Ben Montague who had a #1 smash hit with “Love like stars” (#33) last year. This week he had not only the highest debut he had best three debuts. The highest of this three debuts is “Liberty road” (#64) with a feature by Lucie Silvas who is best known for her 2004 hit “What you’re made of”. “Liberty road” was released as double A-side single along with “Deep end” (#66) which also debuted this week. His third debut debuted between this double A-side single. It’s his latest single “Sweet Amelia” (#65) from “Tales of flying and falling” which has been officially released back in June 2013.

While Ben Montague brings in new pop/rock songs on my chart the other debuts are more country oriented. The highest country debut comes from Joe Nichols with “Sunny and 75” (#81). Interesting to see is that Parmalee with “Carolina” (#84), Florida Georgia Line with “Stay” (#86) and Danielle Bradberry with “The heart of Dixie” (#89) reached a debut this week although most of this songs has been released as a single a long time ago in the States. The other debuts are “Rather be” (#87) by Clean Bandit feat Jess Glynne, “King of everything” (#91) by Boy George, “Any weather” (#93) by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, “Chillin’ (#94) by German Turkish born Matt Chase, “Ecco che” (#97, “Here) by Elisa, “Back to life” (#98) by 3OH!3, “Tonight” (#99) by Spica and “Are U loved” (#100) by Percival who participated in the 1st season of TVOG.

Week 155 – February 15^th, 2014

For a long time Emma stayed at the top of my chart with “L’amore non mi basta” (#2). But after 9 weeks she had to deplete the position. New at the top is Jillette Johnson. For her it is the 2nd #1 with “Last bus out” in its 13th week. Only Matt Cardle had a longer run to #1 with “It’s only love” than Jillette Johnson. Austrian band Tagträumer are doing well. For the first time they reached the Top 3 with “Sinn”. This song is absolutely ready for taking the lead in the future. The Top 5 is complete with Chinese/South Korean girl band miss A’s “Hush” (#9) and Britney Spears’ “Perfume” (#5). Two songs are new in this part of the chart. First to mention is US The Voice winner Cassadee Pope. With her country promotional single “I wish I could break your heart” (#9) she reached her first Top 10 hit out of two charting songs. The other new song is “True north” (#9). This actual single by Jillette Johnson is her 5th Top 10 hit so far.

Last week at #11. This week at #11. Irish girl band B*Witched are caught at the door to the Top 10. “Love & money” is a very good song, but they haven’t the last grain for reaching this part at the moment. Maybe next week. As always the concurrence is large. Among this concurrence are two German songs. The first one is “K.B.A.G.” (#14) by Jennifer Rostock. The other one is the beautiful love song “Ich lass für dich das Licht an” (#15) by Revolverheld.

This week’s highest debut comes from Canadian singer Kristina Maria. She placed several songs on the chart and her biggest hit up-to-date is “Animal” which peaked at #23. This week she reached at Top 40 debut with “Bang U up” (#32) and should outperform "Animal" in a few weeks. A little bit down the chart is the greatest gainer of the week by Spica with their song “Tonight” (#79). As most of the time there are lots of debuts. Beside the highest debut there is only one song debuting within the Top 70. It’s Austin Mahone’s latest coup with Pitbull. Their infecting song “Mmm yeah” (#70) is barely before two new entries by Matt Cardle. He placed “Empire” (#71) and “Anywhere” (#71) as new entries in this chart.

Other new entries are “I will pray (pregherò)” (#73) by Giorgia feat. Alicia Keys, “Vanzator de lumina” (#86, “Beautiful lights”) by Viky Red feat. You should definitely chart all these three songs from Ben Montague's album. They are very good. Sure "Empire" is catchy. I hope he will reach Top 10 with this song. It's hard to predict at the moment, because there are lots of good songs out there.

I know that Matt Hires was your contest song. I voted for this song and now he is on the list. Maybe you charted this song early and oversaw it. That's a shame. I also haven't noticed that B*Witched had a new song until I used it for the contest. This song has everything to be a big hit, but no one will notice that fact. That's really strange.

Week 156 – February 22^nd, 2014

Jillette Johnson only stayed a week at the top with “Last bus out” (#3). She was replaced by Austrian newcomer band Tagträumer. Their catchy song “Sinn” is the first Austrian #1 since last year’s smash “I know you’ll wait for me” by Rising Girl feat. DJ Lil Dirty. Unchanged in the runner’s up position is Emma with “L’amore non mi basta”. It’s definitely another good week for her with two new entries and she has recently announced that she will participate in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Country pop song “I wish I could break your heart” (#4) by Cassadee Pope and “Like a drum” (#5) by Guy Sebastian reached the Top 5 for the first time. While Jillette Johnson lost #1 her other Top 10 song “True north” (#7) continued the trend. The only new song in this section is B*Witched’s comeback single “Love and money” (#10).

This week Germany is pushing into Top 10. Revolverheld’s love song “Ich lass für dich das Licht an” (#12) is only one step behind. For Jennifer Rostock’s criticial „K.B.A.G.“ (#13) could it the first Top 10 hit since 2012 and there is Schlager star Helene Fischer. “Atemlos durch die Nacht” (#16) is the first Schlager #1 in Austria since years. She’s done well in the past, but this I haven’t seen this coming. On my chart she is dealing with this trend and continuing her climbing. Beside these German tracks Canadian girl Kristina Maria is sprinting into Top 20. Last week “Bang U up” (#17) debuted and now it climbed up 15 spots.

I mentioned that Emma had two new entries. The highest of both is the album track “La mia felicità” (#53, “My happiness”). Her latest single from “Schiena” is “Trattengo il fiato” (#59, “I hold my breath”). Both songs have to follow into the big footsteps which have left by “L’amore non mi basta” which is still in the Top 3. Between these Emma songs there is this week's greatest gainer. It’s “Vanzator de lumina” (#57) by Romanian singers Viky Red & Ellie White. This duet is so far the highest charting song in Romanian.

A little bit down the chart a new single by Boyce Avenue found the way into my chart. This charity single “One life” (#74) is their 2nd chart hit and should reach Top 50 in the next weeks. Another interesting debut comes from Virginia To Vegas. With Alyssa Reid “We are stars” (#75) singer-songwriter Derik Baker behind Virginia To Vegas got his first chart appearance. Also fascinating is the first song in Swiss dialect I’m charting. It’s “Uf der Flucht” (#78, “On the run”) by Ritschi.

Other debuts are “Plastic” (#90) by Soraya, “Two steps from heaven” (#92) by SJ McArdle, “Young volcanoes” (#93) by Fall Out Boy, “Walking on water” (#94) by Eliza Doolittle, “When she says baby” (#97) by Jason Aldean, “Weißt eh (dass i narrisch auf di steh) (#98, “You know that I’m crazy for you) by Melissa Naschenweng, “Dimmi che non passa” (#99, “Tell me that doesn’t pass) by Violetta and “Lonely” (#100) by Hyolyn.
