25 - Ricki-Lee - "On My Own" (1 week at #1!)
Well, it's no surprise to see Ricki-Lee in my Year-End chart, since she took out a #1 year-end position back in 2014 with "Mirage"! Anyway, it had been a while between drinks/songs for Ricki-Lee, and I was so glad to hear her back with this one. 24 - Kelly Clarkson - "Favorite Kind Of High"
Well, favourite is spelled wrong (at least outside of America), but here's Jekky SUCH a dancey song from her with an awesome message! It was one of Kelly's highest-charting songs for me in years 23 - Tom Grennan - "All These Nights"
Tom is another one of those 'punchy' British pop artists who keeps releasing good songs! He had a #7 year-end track in 2021 with "Little Bit Of Love"! Loved this one 22 - David Archuleta - "Afraid To Love" (1 week at #1!)
Where did this come from? After years of mediocre releases (imo), he releases this epic track! And apparently only 250k people have seen his cute outfits in the music video on Youtube. Oh well, more for me Great song from David! 21 - Taylor Swift - "I Can See You (Taylor's Version)"
More brilliant songwriting from Taylor. Man, so catchy, and relatable, at least for me Not Tay-Tay's only entry, which means she is in... The Top 20!
20 - This Australian pop artist pined for straight men in this song by elumating Beyonce and Delta in the music video 19 - This British artist wondered if you learned any information about him yet 18 - This New-Zealand country artist wanted everything thrown at her in the relationship via this song 17 - This Australian pop-princess was looking to give her heart to someone in this album track 16 - These Brisbane sisters thought everything was amazing

20 - Troye Sivan - "One Of Your Girls" (3 weeks at #1!)
Troye either releases a hit like this, or a miss I'll listen to once and never again. Thankfully he had this one, which topped my chart for three weeks! This means he now has four Top 20 Year-End songs for me, after "Angel Baby" reached #16 in 2021 and "My! My! My!" and "Bloom" reached #14 and #7 in 2019. 19 - Etham - "Know Me Yet" (1 week at #1!)
It's my current #1 song, so it's had at least three more weeks at #1 since the cut-off date for the Year-End chart. I just love this guy's voice, and most things he releases are damn good. 18 - Kaylee Bell - "Boots 'N' All"
My #1 country song of the year goes to "Boots 'N' All'! Just such a brilliant track. I must have played it at least 100 times. Also the highest New Zealand entry! 17 - Kylie Minogue - "Somebody To Love"
Secretly, it's my absolute favourite song from the 'Tenion' album. Absolutely beautiful sound and lyrics, and if I ever get married, I think this'll be my first dance. Could I get any gayer? 16 - The Veronicas - "Perfect" (1 week at #1!)
The girls were back with their original pop-rock sound that suits them so well, and it went to the top of my chart! Such a good track. Up next!
15 - This Aussie songstress wanted to return to her lover in this lead single, before releasing a movie this year! 14 - This U.S. diva really was a superhero in this second single 13 - A duet between two iconic Australian female artists, about being unapologetically real 12 - This Armenian artist had her Eurovision song resurface and go viral 11 - A U.S. punk-pop artist wanted us to hold out our arms to catch her

Up til this year, Troye has been on the miss side with minor hits for me. This year, Troye picked up two Top 3 hits for me Up next!
13 - A duet between two iconic Australian female artists, about being unapologetically real

Agreed with Troye being hit or miss. I thought "Rush" was a stronger song and "One of Your Girls" slipped out this week, but I do expect it to re-enter.

15 - Delta Goodrem - "Back To Your Heart" (2 weeks at #1!)
Delta was back with a new single! Strange that it seemed to be the only one, but I guess she had her movie to focus on. Anyway, I loved the London music video and drone-shots and her voice still sounds as great as ever. Two weeks at the top! 14 - Anastacia - "Supergirl" (2 weeks at #1!)
Wow, did I love this song or what!? Sucks we only got a lyric video for this one, but she still appears in it! She certainly pumped out music videos for the other songs from the new album. This is Anastacia's highest year-end entry, after also appearing at #100, #51 and 29! No wonder Spotify thought she was my #1 listened-to artist 13 - Olivia Newton-John feat. Vanessa Amorosi - "True To Yourself"
How good did these two sound together!? Oh Olivia, R.I.P you beautiful soul. Lyrics I think we could all take note of sometimes 12 - Rosa Linn - "Snap"
You only had to hear the Eurovision crowd reaction when Rosa appeared on stage to get a sense of how good this song was gonna be. I can say that as I've been a part of a Eurovision crowd Unfortunately not this one though. Anyway, the song didn't do well in the final voting (booo!) but then it went viral and the world caught on, thank GOD. This song was brilliant! 11 - P!nk - "Trustfall"
Yes, it was overplayed, but you know what? I never got sick of it HA. Just one of those songs I can really appreciate from P!nk, and let's face it, she has a lot of them. A lovely track from her! Up next!
Top 10!
10 - This Australian is the first male Aboriginal artist to make my Top 10. He may need to see a psychiatrist after finding this out 9 - Now it's time for a female Aboriginal artist from Brisbane to sing her 3rd single via an ode to my city's river! 8 - This U.S. artist reminisced about her more youthful days in this 4th single 7 - This Aussie pop princess needed to get a massage in this second single! 6 - A Brisbane indie-pop band sang about their nice experiences in this lead single

TOP 10 SONGS OF 2023! Here we go! Nothing beat these 10 tracks for me this year 10 Budjerah - "Therapy"
I can see why Ed Sheeran chose this kid to be his support act on his Australian tour this year. This song was something else and a real standout from him. Seriously impressed!9Thelma Plum - "The Brown Snake" (3 weeks at #1!) "If I died and went to heaven, then heaven would be this place."
I mean, I've lived here 20+ years and I love Brisbane, but I dunno about Heaven Look out for us at the 2032 Olympic games, when everyone else around the world will be like, "Where the f*ck is Brisbane?" Anyway, this song totes got my patriotic vote. I love how she sang about 'Expo '88' but she wasn't even alive then I guess some landmarks still exist from it. Anyway, for those who don't know, "The Brown Snake" is our affectionate nickname given to the river that flows through the city, due to it's shape and beautiful colour 8 Miley Cyrus - "Used To Be Young" (2 weeks at #1!)
I've actually put Miley Cyrus on a similar pedestal to Stevie Nicks in regards to her music. Yep, that's how good I think she is, even at her young age. What a great song we can all can relate to. 7 Kylie Minogue - "Tension" (5 weeks at #1!)
This wasn't initially a favourite song from the album, but she released it as a second single with a pretty epic music video, so there had to be something to it, and yeah, I guess it grew on me, enough for a Top 10! But Kylie in the Year-End Top 10 isn't anything unusual. You may have noticed she's not done yet 6 Sheppard - "Good Time" (2 weeks at #1!)
A home-grown band with yet another brilliant song. I was just loving this one, so much that it even outscored Kylie! Well, one of them One of the lead singers (Amy) also appeared at #44 with her solo single! Up next, the TOP 5! There's no clues for my final 5 songs, but I can reveal that there is one British, two Aussie and two U.S entries remaining. It was also very close between the top two songs for the first time in many years. Who will take it out? All will be revealed soon. Thanks for following along

5 Dermot Kennedy - "Kiss Me"
Dermot Kennedy get's my 5th favourite song without hitting the top! Could not get enough of this track from him, even now. He gets my highest entry from a British artist this year 4 Ruel - "Growing Up Is..." (1 week at #1!)Growing up certain is, Ruel! All of the lyrics, all of the feels. Here's one of the two Aussie entries! This song spent the majority of it's time at the top last year, but snuck in an extra week this year and I wa just obsessed with it, so it hovered around the top for most of the year. So who's hogging all those weeks at the top? Kylie's had the most so far with 5 weeks with "Tension", but there's a few more weeks in the year than that! Well, you'll soon see who my chart-hogs were
Songs remaining...
2 U.S. artists 1 Australian artist
