Welp, that time of year is here. That tedious time of figuring out whom has taken out the year's title on my Year-End Chart (as I am rarely organised) So without further-a-do, I am able to start my countdown of my best 100 songs of this year! 100 - Anastacia - "An Angel"
A cover of a cover that I used to love! So when I was listening to Anastacia's new album this year and hear this, I was like "Omg!" It scrapes in for the final spot! I have a feeling this won't be the last you see of Anastacia in this countdown, considering she was my 'Spotify Wrapped' #1 artist of 2023 99 - Celine Dion - "Waiting On You"
Oh it's so good to see Celine back in one of my Year-End countdowns, as she sure used to own them 20-odd years ago! And I haven't even yet seen the movie this is from yet. 98 - Gretta Ray - "Don't Date The Teenager"
A catchy single from Gretta this year that had my boppin' away. She last made my Year-End chart in 2016 with "Drive". 97 - Busted feat. Hanson - "MmmBop 2.0"
It took until this year's lyric video for this version for me to know what the lyrics actually were for the original song in 1997 I thought it was such a good version. 96 - Christine And The Queens - "To Be Honest"
Man, this singer out of France sure makes some earworms. She appeared on my Year-End Chart in 2014 with "Tilted". Clues95 - This British artist is bad at watering her plants 94 - This song (originally made famous by Fountains Of Wayne) focuses on a different member of the family 93 - She keeps running away on the charts 92 - She also misses her ex 91 - This Aussie country artist prefers to write her own eulogy

95 - Ellie Goulding - "Let It Die"
This one was a surprise to see get a chart position tbh. Sometimes working out my Year-End chart can be even a surprise to me But obviously I must've liked this enough! 94 - Mad Tsai - "Stacy's Brother"
Again, a surprise. But someone coming out with a gay alternative version of "Stacy's Mom" with a completely different sound made me laugh. 93 - Olivia Rodrigo - "Can't Catch Me Now"
This has done well for a recent charting song. 92 - Olivia Rodrigo - "Get Him Back!"
This was a song I liked upon hearing at the start, but then it got old fast. I think I should've left it for the teenyboppers, but still, all in all, not a bad song! 91 - Fanny Lumsden - "When I Die"
Now this song was good. Despite the title, the lyrics are really uplifting. Fanny gets my first country entry in the Year-End chart! Clues90 - There's not much space on the charts for this U.S country artist 89 - He used to be yours, but now feels like a boogie 88 - This US artist is confident about her one-night-stands 87 - A US artist whom has a very wealthy spawn 86 - This English pop-rock band are honest about their feelings

Good to see those Olivia Rodrigo songs here "Get Him Back" will be higher up for me, as it got to my runner-up spot. The "Guts" album just proved that she'll be around a while.

Fanny Lumsden's "When I Die" was a big hit on my Top 20 chart, hitting #1 for a two weeks and #1 on my country chart for five weeks. Her album Hey Dawn won the Best Country album of 2023 in the Australian ARIA awards, the equivalent of the U.S. Grammy Awards. The album features "When I Die", "Millionaire" and "You'll Be Fine" among its notable tracks.

90 - Tim McGraw - "Standing Room Only"
Oh this was gorgeous from Tim! It was a song about living your life to the fullest so this is the result at the end. He actually hasn't had a hit on my chart since "Please Remember Me", all the way back in 1999, and is the second country track to appear here. 89 - Jason Mraz - "I Feel Like Dancing"
"Get a little silly with the lyrical ridiculousness" is a lyric highlight from this one. It had me feeling like dancing too! He last had a hit for me in 2008 with "I'm Yours", so a couple of the boys have had mini-comebacks for me with the lower-end of my Year-End chart this year so far! 88 - Emeline - "Strut"
Oooooo - boppy from Emeline! Own those one-night-stands girl! Maybe this song somewhat related to my life a little, or I wanted it to Was absolutely loving this one from early in the year, and here it is at the end! 87 - Ava Max - "Million Dollar Baby"
Ava was pumping out the hits last year and earlier this year, and this was no exception for me, coming in at #87! 86 - The 1975 - "I'm In Love With You"
This is one of those bands I'd wish I'd gone and seen this year when they visited my city, but to be honest it would have been mainly to hear this song. I was really enjoying it! Clues85 - A woman's name got a 25-year remix! 84 - This Aussie idol wants it immediately 83 - A US artist is feeling nostalic about your companionship 82 - A British artist was waving these furiously! 81 - A Scottish artist is being the bigger person in this song

I never thought Jason Mraz would have a return to form, but "I Feel Like Dancing" had that quirkiness that shaped his earlier stuff and became his first top 10 in forever for me.
Also good to see Ava Max and The 1975 in here.

85 - Joanne - "Jackie" (remix)
So good to hear this song remixed for it's 25th anniversary. An Aussie classic dance bop! 84 - Jessica Mauboy - "Right Here, Right Now"
Didn't mind this one from Jess! She's been releasing a few better bops lately, but nothing that has matched her Year-End smash "Been Waiting" for me in 2009. 83 - Tori Kelly - "Missin' U"
This is the first Year-End chart entry for Tori Kelly! The vocal acrobatics and runs with the 90's/2000's feel was great! 82 - Mimi Webb - "Red Flags"
Well, I sure remember Mimi taking out my Year-End #1 (yes, ONE) in 2021 with "Good Without", and I got to see her live as well, so she's been someone I always keep an eye out for. She's definitely had some good songs since, like this one, but she's got one that's charted higher to come 81 - Lewis Capaldi - "Wish You The Best"
The voice on this guy! It's actually out of this world, IMO. I also watched his documentary this year, which was pretty damn heartfelt where you get to see what a normal guy he is, and then he comes out with something epic like this. Just wow. Coming up... 80 - FOUR artists collab'd to let us know they are all submissive 79 - One of the alter-ego's of this US artist, queer-baiting again (we think) 78 - This Canadian diva is singing about what she'll become 77 - An Aussie crooner is singing about what could be! 76 - This English singer-songwriter is autisic and has ADHD, but she's not the only one

80 - Diplo, Johnny Blue Skies, Sturgill Simpson & Dove Cameron - "Use Me"
FOUR artists on one song?? Just as well it was pretty decent! 79 - ur pretty - "Hit My Spot"
The first song to appear on last year's Year-End chart as well as this year's! That's how much it had me laughing Please don't listen to this one at work Look out for this artist as a different persona (and genre!) higher up the chart. 78 - Celine Dion - "I'll Be"
Celine has her second entry in my Year-End chart already (already appearing at #99). This one was gorgeous and showed off those high vocals I fell in love with all those years ago. 77 - Ruel - "Must Be Nice"
Whenever Ruel comes out with a new song, I make sure I give it a listen. He tends to make it up quite high in my peronal chart with his songs, and this gorgeous track made it to the lower-half of my Top 10 for quite some time earlier in the year. Not Ruel's only entry! 76 - Cat Burns - "Know That You're Not Alone"
Songs with messages like this almost always hit my senses hard, and mix them with a good melody and I'm hooked. It's the first song I'd heard by this artist, and I was impressed. Clues
75 - Two Canadian artists collab'd to pinpoint where it all went wrong
74 - This British artist walked outside when it was below zero degrees (C)
73 - This Japanese-British artist liked to swap the same body-parts!
72 - A US artist was in her own head with this one! 71 - An Aussie dance group read this other Aussie artist's mind in this collab

73 must be Eye For An Eye then. Correct you are! I guess Frankenstein was kind of body parts as well, so good guess there previously

75 - Tenille Townes & Bryan Adams - "The Thing That Wrecks You"
Ooooo a slow burner for me! I saw it charting well on a few of the country charts here on M4BCC and I soon realized what I was missing out on. Sometimes a country song (is it? besides Tenille's distinct voice?) does well enough to cross over onto my mainstream (and that may have partly had to do with Bryan's part), and this not only did that - it went top 10! It's quite an interesting stat for Bryan Adams, as he hasn't appeared on my Year-End chart since 1998's collab with Melanie C with "When You're Gone", so you know, 25 years, and his songs before that pre-date my personal chart. 74 - Mimi Webb - "Freezing"
I had the pleasure of seeing Mimi live in my city in late 2022, and she took out my Y ear-End #1 in 2021 with "Good Without", so obviously that puts her in high regard for me She's been pumping out a few hits since then (this being one of them!), but only one has made the ARIA Top 50, which angers me because we suck and she's awesome! Thank God my personal chart reflects her talent more accurately 73 - Rina Sawayama - "Eye For An Eye"
Another artist I had the pleasure of seeing live, but earlier this year! So glad I got tickets earlier, because people were scrambling for them, and there was no way I was giving mine up. Of course she was unreal! She didn't perform this one, as I don't think it was made at the time, but I enjoyed this one from her! 72 - Selena Gomez - "My Mind And Me"
A very vulnerable track from Selena this year, which I think a lot of people could relate to - certainly I could! It was heartfelt and tender and sometimes the big dance-hits can take a side seat to listen to something like this instead. Bravo, Selena! 71 - PNAU & Troye Sivan - "You Know What I Need"
Speaking of dance songs, here's one! I can always trust PNAU to get me on the dancefloor, and add some vocals from Troye, and I was grooving away. Up next!
70 - An Aussie boy-band don't have good feelings about this
69 - This Australian artist was in a hurry 68 - A Dutch DJ and a Canadian artist told us what the time was
67 - This Los Angeles country artist disagrees with you 66 - This Georgian-Tennessee'n country singer-songwriter sampled a 1996 US and Canadian country hit, and later collab'd with the original singer!
