100. CALVIN HARRIS - I'm Not Alone taken from the album "Ready For The WeekendPeak: 8 The song peaked at number 1 in the UK and number 40 in New Zealand. It was the first official single from the album "Ready For The Weekend". 99. THE SATURDAYS - Just Can't Get Enoughtaken from the album "Chasing Lights"Peak: 6 This was the official Comic Relief single for 2009, and narrowly missed out on the top spot in England, peaking at number two. The track became the biggest song for The Saturdays on my personal chart, causing "Up!", a previous single, to re-enter the charts and peak in the top 20.

98. RISE AGAINST - Audience of Onetaken from the album "Appeal To Reason"Peak: 10 The first chart hit for Rise Against, "Audience of One" peaked at number ten in early May this year. They went on to have another hit with "Hero of War" later on in the year. The single did not make much of an impact on the official chart, but lands at 99 on my year end chart.

97. GABRIELLA CILMI - Don't Wanna Go To Bed Now taken from the album "Lessons To Be Learned Peak: 14 The third official release from "Lessons To Be Learned", Don't Wanna Go To Bed Now made a modest peak at number 14. Sweet About Me, Cilmi's previous top 20 hit had peaked at number 3. However, the song managed to stay within the top 20 for longer than a month, earning it a spot in the top 100.

96. ALICIA KEYS - Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart taken from the album "The Element of Freedom" Peak: 1 (1 week)Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart is Alicia Keys' second hit from her fourth studio album. After several weeks at number two the song finally managed to leapfrog Lady GaGa and landed at numebr one on the final chart of the year. Alicia Keys looks set to feature high in the 2010 end of year chart...

95. P!NK - Bad Influence taken from the album "Funhouse" Peak: 11 P!nk's fourth single from Bad Influence just missed out on a spot in the top ten (her first official single to do that since 2004's 'God Is A DJ). The single manages to inch into the top 100 of the year, with quite a while spent in the chart and heavy airplay. Plenty more Pink coming up ...

Shame to see BEP, PCD and T.I. just missed the top 100, but nice to see Calvin sneak in. I'm happy to see Diva missed though, Beyonce's worst song by FAR!

94. LADYHAWKE - My Delirium taken from the album "Ladyhawke" Peak: 6 "My Delirium" became Ladyhawke's highest peaking track on my chart. It is the fourth single from her self-titled album, and is the only song to have a real impact on the chart. "Back of the Van" managed only to peak at 32, being her second highest entry. Ladyhawke took home six New Zealand Music Awards this year, a good year for the Kiwi. 93. FLO RIDA featuring KE$HA - Right Round taken from the album "R.O.O.T.S. Peak: 9 "Right Round", Flo Rida's first single from his second album, managed a peak of number nine becoming his first single within the top ten. Despite being a huge artist thanks to the release of his debut single Low, he made little impact on the charts until this song was released. Indeed Flo Rida's singles have been a mixed bag, with "Sugar" the second release from the album becoming my personal worst song of the year. 92. J WILLIAMS featuring LAVINA WILLIAMS - Stand With You taken from the album "Young Love"Peak: 1 (1 week) With the release of his debut album, J Williams has managed five charting songs in New Zealand. This is his only top ten single, a duet with his cousin Lavina Williams. In New Zealand, the song peaked at number six and was certified Gold.

91. DANE RUMBLE - Always Be Here Peak: 3 Yet to release an album, Dane Rumble managed to peak within the top ten with his first three singles. "Always Be Here" is Dane Rumble's first solo single release after breaking from the Fast Crew. The song peaked at number 13 in New Zealand but stayed in the top forty for twenty-one weeks. 90. KINGS OF LEON - Notion taken from the album "Only By The Night' Peak: 22 The only song in the top 100 to miss the top twenty, Kings of Leon managed six consecutive months in the weekly chart. "Only By The Night" has, by far, become Kings of Leon's most successful album commercially. Sex on Fire, Use Somebody and Revelry all peaked in the top ten. The song peaked at number 25 in New Zealand.

89. LADI6 - Walk Right Uptaken from the album "Time Is Not Much"Peak: 6 I came across Ladi6 late in 2008 at an Alicia Keys concert (she was the support act). Soon after I bought the album and fell in love with this track. Number 90 of the year, the track is the highest peaking song of her career. Ladi6 won the award for Best R&B/Hip-Hop album at this year's New Zealand Music's award, beating out stiff competition from Savage and crowd favourite Smashproof. 88. WHITNEY HOUSTON - Million Dollar Billtaken from the album "I Look To You"Peak: 2 Whitney Houston's comeback single was a huge hit peaking at number two on my personal chart. Whitney's last charting single was "Could I Have This Kiss Forever?" back in 2000 which got to number one on the chart. The album became one of the highest selling albums of the year in the USA and gave Whitney a much needed career resurrection. 87. PAULA DEANDA - Roll The CreditsPeak: 4 Paula DeAnda has only charted once before with "Walk Away" which peaked at number five in 2006. Roll The Credits is the first single from Paula DeAnda's upcoming sophomore album which is due for release in early 2010. 86. LEONA LEWIS featuring AKON - Forgive Metaken from the album "Spirit:Deluxe Edition"Peak: 1 (1 week) Leona Lewis hit the top with her fourth single, Forgive Me in January of this year. It follows former number ones "Bleeding Love" and "Better In Time". The track is taken from her repackaged debut album "Spirit" which caused her to become the first British female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 with her first album. Leona's second album was released in November this year. 85. THE SCRIPT - The Man Who Can't Be Movedtaken from the album "The Script"Peak: 4 Irish band The Script reached number four with this single. It is the only single from the album to reach the top ten, although "Break Even" and "Before The Worst" all managed to peak within the top fifty. Although the song was released midway through last year, it has only made an impact on the chart this year (although it was at very beginning of the year).

84. KATY PERRY - Hot n Coldtaken from the album "One Of The Boys"Peak: 8 A top 100 single last year, Hot N Cold managed to come it at number 85 this year. "I Kissed A Girl", "Hot N Cold" and "Waking Up In Vegas" all peaked at number one on the chart, which is quite a feat for the debut artist (although not a record). Despite debuting on the charts in September last year, it didn't fall off the chart until July this year. 83. PLAIN WHITE T'S - 1,2,3,4taken from the album "Big Bad World"Peak: 3 I really liked this song for a little while (it peaked at number one on the daily chart) but slipped off quite fast. Even though it only spent ten weeks in the top 100, it manages a chart entry of 84. The Plain White T's have been unable to emulate the success of their breakthrough hit "Hey There Delilah" which peaked at number one in 2007. 82. ESMEE DENTERS - Outta Heretaken from the album "Outta Here"Peak: 9 Dutch pop singer Esmee Denters comes in at number 83 for the year. It is Esmee's one and only charting single, however she may have some more to come as she releases new singles in 2010. The song became quite a success in New Zealand peaking at number 12. 81. GLEE CAST - Don't Stop Believin'taken from the album "Glee - The Music - Volume 1"Peak: 3 The biggest track taken from Glee, Don't Stop Believin' is a remake of the hit 1980's track from Journey. Even though some songs peaked higher on the weekly charts (Halo/Walking on Sunshine, Somebody To Love), Don't Stop Believin' becomes the highest Glee entry partially for it's longevity. 2010 looks like it might have quite a few more Glee entries, with Glee being quite a popular entry on the charts. 80. Lily Allen - 22taken from the album "It's Not Me It's You"Peak: 8 Lily Allen has had quite a few charting hits, this being the lowest entry of three top 100 songs. Her second album "It's Not Me It's You" was incredibly successful, peaking at number one in Australia. After this album, Lily Allen has stated that she will be retiring for pop music.

79. KATE MILLER-HEIDKE - The Last Day On Earth taken from the album "Curiouser" Peak: 3 "The Last Day on Earth" is Kate's debut to the chart and her highest selling single. The song was a huge hit in Australia, also peaking at number three and was followed up with the chart single "Caught In The Crowd". That song has peaked at number 33 on the chart. 78. GIN WIGMORE - Oh My taken from the album "Holy Smoke" Peak: 4 "Oh My" was Gin Wigmore's first solo single and one of two songs by her to peak at number four (follow up single "I Do" is currently number four). Her debut album "Holy Smoke" was a huge hit, debuting at number one, and is still within the top five. She looks set to be a big winner on the 2010 chart. 77. PITBULL - I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) taken from the album "Rebelution" Peak: 3 Pitbull is the first Brazilian artist to feature in the top 100 annual chart (CSS just missed out on a spot in the top 100 in 2007 with "Music is my hot hot sex"). "I Know You Want Me" became a hit worldwide due to it's catchy beat and simply chorus. The song peaked at number three, and he has not been able to repeat the success with either of his follow-up's "Hotel Room Service" and "Shut It Down". 76. VANESSA AMOROSI - This Is Who I Amtaken from the album "Hazardous"Peak: 1 (1 week) "This Is Who I Am" is Vanessa Amorosi's first number one single on the official Australian Singles Chart, likewise her first number one on my personal chart. Her most successful single is still "Perfect" off her last album, but this song is still within the top 20 so will most likely chart quite highly on the 2010 chart. 75. SHAKIRA - She Wolftaken from the album "She Wolf"Peak: 4 "She Wolf" is the first single from her newest English album "She Wolf". The single was considerably less successful than her previous singles, of which "Whenever Wherever" and "Hips Don't Lie" were number one annual singles (of 2002 and 2006 respectively). The song is a new direction for Shakira, exploring more electro-pop.

Ladyhawke should be a lot higher, but I'm happy to see her listed. My Delirium is a great track, and will be in my top ten. Nice also to see Kings of Leon, Katy Perry, Glee Cast, Kate Miller-Heidke, Lily Allen, Gin and Vanessa Amorosi. And of course, The Script, who I love. They will also be in my top ten, but with a different song. The Man Who Can't Be Moved will be low on mine because it peaked last year.

74. TAYLOR SWIFT - White Horse taken from the album "Fearless"Peak: 3 It's been a huge year for Taylor who has taken home plenty of awards and accolades. White Horse is one of the slower releases from "Fearless" but still managed a peak of three on my chart. The track itself has been certified platinum on the American charts. 73. JESSE MCCARTNEY featuring T-PAIN - Body Language taken from the album "Departure"Peak: 11 Before this year, McCartney had failed to make much of an impact on the chart. Beautiful Soul (probably his most successful song) only peaked at 24 in 2005, and Just So You Know bettered that in 2007 by peaking at 17. With the release of "Departure" he has managed to make his first entry into an annual chart. He also a little further up the list with another song ... 72. PARAMORE - Ignorancetaken from the album "Brand New Eyes"Peak: 3 The first track from "Brand New Eyes" proved to be quite a hit on the chart! However, Paramore are no strangers to hits, with "That's What You Get" and "Crushcruscrush" featuring in the top sixty songs of last year. The release of "Brand New Eyes" saw Paramore reach number one in several countries, including Australia in New Zealand, and they also debuted at number two in the USA with the album. 71. JAMES MORRISON and NELLY FURTADO - Broken Stringstaken from the album "Songs For You, Truths For Me"Peak: 12 James Morrison and Nelly Furtado's track only managed to peak at 12, but stayed in the charts for quite a long time. James Morrison has been at number one twice before with "You Give Me Something" and "The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore" but his follow-up album has had lower charting songs. The track peaked at number ten in New Zealand. 70. EVERMORE - Hey Boys and Girlstaken from the album "Truth of the World"Peak: 11 The first track from "Hey Boys and Girls" became one of their highest charting tracks worldwide, peaking at number five in New Zealand. Evermore have reached number one only once on the chart with "Light Surrounding You" the follow up singles from the album have not managed to peak as high as Hey Boys and Girls.

69. JAY Z featuring ALICIA KEYS - Empire State of Mindtaken from the album "The Blueprint Vol. 3"Peak: 3 Jay Z has never reached number one as a lead artist, the closest he has got is number two in 2003 with "Bonnie and Clyde". Even though he hasn't had much chart success, five of his tracks were top 1000 of the century, and he has had plenty of success as a producer. Alicia Keys' track "Empire State of Mind (Part II)" is currently charting on my personal chart as well. 68. JAY SEAN featuring LIL WAYNE - Downtaken from the album "All Or Nothing"Peak: 5 Jay Sean's first official American release, Down rocketed to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming the first solo male R&B artist from Britain to reach number one there. Jay Sean has had previous number ones, "Dance With You", "Eyes On You", "Stolen" and "Ride It" have all reached number one and made it into their respective years' top 100. Down is the first track taken from his made-for-America album "All or Nothing". 67. P!NK - Funhousetaken from the album "Funhouse"Peak: 5 "Funhouse" is the fifth single from Pink's Funhouse album. The track was very popular in Australia and New Zealand and stayed within the chart for a very long time. Although Funhouse only had one number one song on my personal chart, it has become one of the most successful albums of the year with three songs in the top 100. 66. LITTLE BOOTS - New In Towntaken from the album "Hands"Peak: 7 British artist Little Boots has had an excellent start to her career, with both "New In Town" and second single "Remedy" getting into the top 100 of the year. Hailing from England, New In Town peaked at number 29 in New Zealand and was a massive hit on local radio. 65. JESSE MCCARTNEY - Leavin'taken from the album "Departure"Peak: 4 This song was released last year, but became very popular on my chart this year, even reaching number one on the daily chart. The song reached number two on the American Pop 40, bringing Jesse McCartney back into the mainstream after three years and one album of mediocrity.
