Thanks! Oh no, here it is again I need to know when I will fall in decay
Something wrong with every plan of my life I didn't really notice that you've been here#06. Lacuna Coil "Heaven's a Lie" I orginally heard this song on Fuse and was thinking it was ok, so I went further and downloaded the song and a few days later I couldn't stop playing it!! It charted very early in 2004, but now it's still one of my favorite songs. Hitting #1 back in March for 2 weeks, "Heaven's a Lie" is #6 on Gimpy's Top 40 of 2004.

By the time you come home I'm already stoned You turn off the TV And you scream at me I can hardly wait Till you get off my case
No matter how hard I try You're never satisfied This is not a home I think I'm better off alone#05. Three Days Grace "Home" This is one of those songs that even if it was overplayed, I could never get sick of. They did an amazing job with this song at the Evanescence concert in July and even though it wasn't a single at the time, I had to chart this song!!! It spent 5 weeks in the Top 5 and dropped. But a resurgance took it all the way to #1 on November 20th, a week before the 2004 deadline!!! "Home" is #5 on Gimpy's Top 40 of 2004

These wounds won't seem to heal This pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years But you still have All of me #04. Evanescence "My Immortal" Definately the ballad of this year, I was pleasently suprised to see this song do so well. It was #16 on my first ever chart (back then the Top 20) and quickly rose to #1, spending 7 consecutive weeks there, the all-time record for longest streak and most weeks at #1. Only 3 songs are better than this, so what could they be?

You were all the things I thought I knew And I thought we could be
You were everything, everything that I wanted We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it And all of the memories, so close to me, just fade away All this time you were pretending So much for my happy ending Oh oh, oh oh, oh oh... #03. Avril Lavigne "My Happy Ending"This was one of my immediate favorites when I picked up "Under My Skin." An amazing cd, and my 2nd favorite of the year. (favorite, read my #2!) The lyrics are great, and Avril does one of her best singing jobs on this track. It spent a record 9 consecutive weeks in the Top 2 on the chart, 6 of those at #1. It spent 13 weeks in the Top 10, 2nd most all-time. Avril takes the #3 spot on Gimpy's Top 40 of 2004.

You know my name You know my face You'd know my heart If you knew my place I'll walk straight down As far as I can go
I'll follow you if you follow me I don't know why you lie so clean I'll break right through the irony#02. Breaking Benjamin "Follow"Breaking Benjamin's "We Are Not Alone" was my favorite album of 2004, and this was the song that helped me make that decision. Lead singer Ben Burnley does the best job possible on this track, and its just plain good. I love this song, I love this song, I LOVE THIS SONG!!! It's #2 on Gimpy's Top 40 of 2004. //M4BCC Exclusive// Download Breaking Benjamin's "Follow" s16.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3DAQAZI1DSPM32SWPZSLXHQQYU

perfect by nature icons of self indulgence just what we all need more lies about a world that
never was and never will be have you no shame don't you see me you know you've got everybody fooled
look here she comes now bow down and stare in wonder oh how we love you no flaws when you're pretending but now i know she
never was and never will be you don't know how you've betrayed me and somehow you've got everybody fooled
without the mask where will you hide can't find yourself lost in your lie
i know the truth now i know who you are and i don't love you anymore
it never was and never will be you don't know how you've betrayed me and somehow you've got everybody fooled
it never was and never will be you're not real and you can't save me somehow now you're everybody's foolWhen I first bought "Fallen" the week it came out last year, I was very happy with this track. This was my orginial favorite, and still is. My most depressing moment of the year (believe me, there was a lot of 'em!) was this song doing bad on radio/tv. This is a sign of today's crappy mainstream industry, and "Everybody's Fool" deserved a lot more. It debuted on my chart on April 24th, and hit #1 for the first time on June 12th. It spent 3 weeks at No.1, then fell back all the way to #7, and then re-claimed the #1 spot 3 weeks later. It spent a record 16 weeks in the Top 10 (!) and a record 22 weeks in the Top 40 (!!). Awesome year-end, lots of great songs ;D I'm not too big on Lacuna Coil though.. one of the worst female-fronted bands I've heard I love that "Come Clean" made your top 15, that is definitely one of the best pop songs this year.
