I think they begin next week? I doubt it, unless the World Series is over by then (which IMO isn't likely).

not like those in the show. those are like multi-million dollar homes. Mine is average one story house with a pool in the backyard. The real OC is not like the show, except for some parts of it where only the rich can afford to live. well, your house is still "more worth" than mine since i dont have the money for a pool. But i can imagine that not all the houses are like that. But since we only see that in the OC, i thought perhaps they all look like that or they all have the money for those kind of houses. Thats it. Im jealous. I want a DAMN pool......

Tonight was a pretty good episode.
Best part was the bitch showdown between Julie & Charlotte. And by god, do they ever find ways for Charlotte to get out of everything! She's a smart bitch, that's for sure.
This whole Marissa-Johnny, surfer by the sea love story, is a bit meh. It was so expected, and needs to be the next Oliver plotline, done and over with in 4-5 episodes TOPS.
I do however like the whole Taylor liking Seth twist, and c'mon, you felt bad for her when her mom was telling her how it is. Although Taylor's mom is smoking, she devil she is.
- Best dialogue. Seth in the beginning commenting on how Ryan & Marissa breaking up is inevitable, it's "something in the tide". Haha. I thought it was an ingenious way, whether it was the response or not, to take a stab back at all the OC fans who have commented on how the show is getting too repetetive.
Because the sad reality is, if Ryan/Marissa & Seth/Summer was to ever break up, all those same fans would be crying and losing sleep.
So let's give it up shall we? OC is still kicking.

Today's episode was good, but the previews for next week are by far the best previews I've seen all season! I think next week is gonna be the SUPER dramatic episode! ;D

Yeah, I don't really get why fans are unhappy with the storylines thus far. I've yet to really be disappointed (well, there was that dean getting in the way, but now that he's been dealt with...).
What annoys me about last night's show though is that I could barely hear any of the featured music.

Yeah, I don't really get why fans are unhappy with the storylines thus far. The reason the storylines are getting worse is because they're predictable, middle-of-the-road, and offer nothing new or exciting to the storylines or the dynamics of the show. They only storyline that I'm interested as far as I'm concerned is the Charlotte one. The others have been a bore. I've been watching the OC since it first premiered and it's pretty clear to me that it's been going downhill since the start of the 2nd season. They wrap storylines up way too quickly (like the Dean for example). Rehashing old storylines into the show isn't gonna work. The OC fans deserve better. We've seen it all before. I'm not saying that the show is absolute garbage because it's not. It just needs to bring some exciting new drama onto the table. Just my opinion.

I personally did not mind the dean being removed so soon...it kept me from ever reaching the point of blind outrage.

Much like the Oliver plotline, I think the writers realized the public disgust associated with his character.

Anyone have deja vu after Charlotte's removal last night? I will say, though, that it seemed way too easy that after she did all that scheming to set up the event and on the side, that Julie tells her off and that's it. What was great, though, was Julie's comment of "there's only room for one manipulative bitch in this town..."

Ok three things:
- Summer & Marissa's "Bring It On" rendition - Charlotte threatening Julie - Julie: "There is only room for one manipulative bitch in this town. *kisses cheek* Bye sweetie"
How can you not love the O.C.
Sweet episode. 'Nuff said.

- Summer & Marissa's "Bring It On" rendition Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, that was funny.

Thursday's episode was pretty representative of how quickly things are getting tied up this season. I mean, Seth-Taylor-Summer, solved. Julie & Kirsten, resolved. Everything gets tied up in the course of one episode, which is good and bad I guess.
But still, great episode. Seth & Summer's "hat" scene was pretty hillarious. It's creating an underground phenomenon amongst crazy OC fanatics online. lol

Y'know...maybe it's possible that all these "easy" tie-ups are to distract viewers from something major suddenly happening. It would be sort of the calm before the storm...what do you think?

Yes, a technique they used effectively last year. But there was already many "storms" at this point in the second season.
