not like those in the show. those are like multi-million dollar homes. Mine is average one story house with a pool in the backyard. The real OC is not like the show, except for some parts of it where only the rich can afford to live.

Was it just me or was tonight's episode a bit of a let down?

Was it just me or was tonight's episode a bit of a let down? Not much happened, but it seems as if next week's episode will be dramatic. BTW - for the way Jimmy got his ass WHOOPED, he should've been more bruised than that. LOL

Is her storyline done? Or is she really an obsessed lesbo?

Seriously, I have no idea what her issue is. I guess she was like most of the tracks on Beyonce's solo album - just some filler.

IMO, this episode had the potential to be downright ugly. It didn't live up (or should I say, live down) to that potential. But really, they won't be able to get rid of that so-called dean fast enough. (Even next week isn't fast enough. )

I thought tonight's episode showed how diverse the O.C. can be in one episode.
The 10 minute segment that included the sequence of Jimmy's Ass-Whoop, Ryan/Marissa's Sex Scene, and Kirsten's potential relapse, was quite possibly one of the best O.C. moments ever. It was just all planned nicely, kinda showed how all of their worlds connected at that very moment (Kirsten's is a long shot, but it still works) And I know we've all see our fair share of porn and action movies, lol, but I was kind of surprised at how much they did show of Marissa and Ryan's sex scene, and Jimmy's beating. I know it wasn't gory or that explicit, but I didn't expect it to be emphasized as much. But they handled it well, it was tastefully done.
The only thing I'm definitely not feeling right now is the whole Summer-Seth getting in trouble because the "dean isnt looking" when Taylor does something wrong. That angle is tired. But Seth taking one for Summer was a cool way to get rid of that. And is it just me, but Taylor isn't even hot! WTF?
Charlotte said she's "thinking of going to the beach" - which means that she's heading to the Cohen's! This should make things very interesting. And I still don't think she's a lesbian. There's gotta be something else, and I'm sure it will be big when it finally comes out.
Marissa & Julie's sentimental moment at the end was kinda neat because it was the first time they've had a hug since what, the second episode of the first season? lol
I really, REALLY like this season because it seems a bit darker, and the clever dialogue is the icing on the cake.

I think there's some kind of relationship between the dean and Taylor. Siblings, perhaps?

Here's an interview conducted with Josh Schwartz by AOL (I think, I found this in an AOL feature). EDIT: I wanted to make this invisible because there are a few give-away details, but it didn't work...!

Great article. And yeah, what's up with Summer-Seth being so stable? Blah. Caitlyn coming back all grown up? SLUT.

This show is so disappointing now. It started off with a bang, but now it's returning to the slumpy and choppy writing of last season (which was terrible, IMO).
Charlotte is really annoying me. I think the Cohen's need a break, especially Kirsten, and it doesn't excite me to see that she's going to be holed up in drama again. Can't the girl enjoy post-rehab? Damn.
And what's up with the Dean and that annoying girl?
I know they *think* they're trying to bring the drama, but it's coming off as annoying and predictable to me. Josh Schwartz needs to turn things around with the return of this show next month, or else it's going to go further and further down the gutter.

Well, actually, thanks to the Houston Astros rendering a Game 7 unnecessary, I believe an episode will air tonight (same goes for Reunion).
Had it not been for that, it would've been November 3.
