Ahoy, Maties! This week Ronan ain't groanin' about his chart luck because he's giddy about topping the list for the third week running. Note, however, that "I Hope You Dance" has lost its bullet. As tipped here last week, Emmylou Harris is poised to take over the top in the surprise of the year. Oh, wait, I guess Ronan's debut at #1 was the surprise of the year. Emmylou, I suppose, will just have to settle for secondary surprise of the year. Stay tuned for next week's chart to see how it all pans out! To see my current chart, please click on my website link cleverly listed beneath the soulDecision banner. ;D Check out three debuts ... all with "Blast from the Past" written all over them! My top debut features a lead singer old enough to be your grandpa, but, dang, Gramps has an insanely catchy piece of dance pop under his belt now. Can't help what I like, folks! As always, thanks for stopping by! If you celebrate Easter or Passover, I hope you enjoy some special moments with family at this meaningful time of year.

Teddy, Tyler, Jason all Top 10 Freemasons closing in too! a-ha debuts Love the mix of the Chicane track but simply cannot get into Tom's vocals - or rather what perhaps might have been done to them! Have a great long weekend David! Hope you get some time to relax ... just don't expect that Ronan remix, the track is too difficult for me to alter with the technology at my hands (sorry!)...

I just debuted Ronan Keating on my chart's last show and I can see why it was a #1 debut here. (was about to update the next one)
Check it out in a little bit.

Teddy, Tyler, Jason all Top 10 Freemasons closing in too! a-ha debuts Glad you found some moments of joy within the ole chart this week, Bill! OMG, it is weird how Tom's normally earth-shattering vocals have been neutered, isn't it? In fact, if I hadn't know it was Tom Jones' voice, I never would have guessed ... and you gotta admit that he has a very distinctive voice. However, ever since Cher busted through with the vocal tricks on "Believe," I think more and more of the altered voice is happening. In fact, I'm sure it won't be long before the artists don't even need to come into the studio anymore. They can just sit poolside while some snot-nosed prepubescent computer whiz "creates" an album during Study Hall. At any rate, I shouldn't try to come across like I'm complaining ... because the bottom line is that I'm lovin' "Stoned in Love," even if it does not do a whole lot to beef up Tom Jones' vocal credibility. Then again, I'm sure Tom is just happy to have a chart hit, no matter what the "cost." How else do you explain that horrendous Prince remake that he did years back? Awww!!! Well, that's all right, Bill! It was an interesting task to propose. Have a great weekend! ;D

Michael I am sorry that I didn't notice Ronan's debut on your earlier show; however, I definitely noticed the healthy 58-42 move on your latest list! You go, Boy! I appreciate your support of an inspiring song.

Hey David Great chart as always, but I do have a question for you. Isn't the Ronan song quite old? I charted that song in November 2004! A little late, are we??

This is the first a-ha track I have heard since "The Sun Always Shines on TV," so it's been a good 20 years! Thanks, as always, for stopping by my slice of cyberheaven!

Glad you approve of the chart ;D As for your burning question ... Sigh ... *pushes Craig's right shoulder* ... Over two weeks ago, I wrote all about why I have charted "I Hope You Dance" now. It was in my chart commentary that explained why the track debuted at #1 without any warning, so to speak. Since you clearly have not been constantly glued to my chart commentary, I am scratching your name right off of my Christmas list. Since you're charting new Wilfred, however, I still will send you a card; just don't look for a gift. Oh, and thanks for stopping by this week!
