Hey there everybody, the Ohio group Saving Jane is currently at #1 with their hit “Girl Next Door.” The song is about lead singer, Marti Dodson’s experiences in High School. You defiantly have to check out this band that shot to stratum. So the question is saving Jane are at #1, and Kelly isn’t that far behind. Kelly took her last four songs to #1. Has she done something to deserve a #1 smash? You will have to wait and see. ;DBritish star James Blunt could be looking for a top 5 hit, while “Stickwitu” and Check On It” could be falling fast.
Taking a look at the rest of the chart we had four debuts the highest was by, Nick Lachey called “What’s Left of Me.” It’s in at #36. This song is about his break up with Jessica Simpson. I really have to be honest with you. I never thought Nick would ever have a big solo hit out of the band 98 Degrees. But Nick I apologize, “What’s Left Of Me” is a great song, and I have to give credit where credit is do. I have to say excellent work. Also on the move is All American Rejects with “Move Along’ and this hit by, Daniel Powter called “Bad Day.” Even though these songs are below #30 right now, look for that to change soon.
The top half of the chart looks good as well. Staind, Pussycat Dolls, Gwen, and Rhianna all looking for the top 10. Our biggest mover for the week was by, Shakira called” Hips Don’t Lie.” I really love this song She hasn’t had a #1 song since “Whenever, Whatever in 2002. It’s defiantly time for another Shakira #1. It climbs from 38 to 30 this week, an 8 notch jump. So are you looking for some fresh music? Here’s our Pat’s Top 40 hot pick of the week. This is where we will pick a new song that we will think hit the charts. Here’s some stuff to watch for. We are picking two songs this week. The first is Ne-Yo’s new hit “When You’re Mad,” the second is by; Bubba Sparxxx called “Ms. New Booty.” These could fly up the charts here in the USA.
That’s what’s going on this week. Hope you check back in again. You never know who might be at #1. Time to go and work on next weeks chart. Be sure to check back for the 40 biggest hits in the land on Pat’s Top 40. Have a great week everybody.
