6) this weeks top 20:
after a couple of slow weeks on the chart this week sees for some movement, kanye west however goes no where and holds onto #1 with ''gold digger'' for his 5th week!!!
so a look at the 2005 #1 singles
let me love you - Mario [6 weeks]
1, 2 step - Ciara featuring Missy Elliott [2 weeks]
let me love you - Mario [1 more week] [7 weeks in total]

boulevard of broken dreams - Green Day [1 week]

we belong together - Mariah Carey [9 weeks]
don't cha - Pussycat Dolls featuring Busta Rhymes [3 weeks]
shake it off - Mariah Carey [4 weeks]
gold digger - Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx [5 weeks so far]
so kanye west hold 5th spot for the years longest #1 single after mariah carey, mario, gwen stefani and 50 cent with only 5 weeks of 2005 left he still has a chance of claiming the 1st spot for longest #1 single!!!!!!
chris brown moves up to #2 this week with his single ''run it'' and nickelback and kelly clarkson both move up a spot to #3 and #4 respectively after dropping a spot last week. black eyed peas take a plunge by falling 3 spots to #5 with ''my humps''.
#6 see's this weeks 1st debut by the queen of pop madonna with the catchy dance single ''hung up''. pussycat dolls re-enter the top 10 this week with ''don't cha'' at #7, ''don't cha'' has been in the charts for 22 weeks now and is shaping up to be 1 of, if not the the biggest single of 2005. james blunt moves back down to #8 this week and last week we welcomed fallout boy and young jeezy into the top 10 but this week they stick around but both drop a spot to #9 and #10 respectively.
sean paul moves up to #11 with his catchy tune ''we be burnin''. jessica simpson is keeping her boots at #12 and pussycat dolls rival rihanna also moves up the chart this week to #13 with ''pon de replay''. rogue traders have a healthy move to #14 and mariah carey moves up with her 4th single of the year ''don't forget about us'' at #15. 2 new debuts at #16 and 17 by t-pain and pussycat dolls. good week for the foxy ladies who have a big rise back into the top 10 with their debut single and debut this week with their follow up. some big drops by shannon noll, mariah carey and ashlee simpson round up this weeks top 20, so maybe some new debuts next week.
with only 5 more charting weeks to go for 2005 most of the charting action has been done, the last few weeks sees songs poor quite fairly in the year end positions.
so if any major changes happen in the next few weeks it could have very little or no effect on the 2005 year end charts.
week #47 for 2005 on goodies chart.
