Thanks for the kind comments from everyone last week. Much appreciated.
Here is the latest chart edition from last Sunday. (Week 40)
The infectious "Do You Want To?" ties with Green Day, Eminem, Amerie, The Killers and Oasis to spend 3 consecutive weeks at #1, but with strong competition below in the form of the Sugababes' new single "Push The Button" which went straight in at #1 on the Official UK Singles Chart.
The highest climber this week is Rachel Stevens who leaps twelve to #13, but will someone let her in the back door of the Top 10 I wonder? ;D
Robbie Williams leads 9 brand new entries in the 40 this week with the reggae-influenced "Tripping", which sees his first return to the chart since Christmas 2004.
It is also worth mentioning the massive success that 2005 has brought two artists which currently have two songs each in the Hot 40. Kelly Clarkson and James Blunt. New singles "Behind These Hazel Eyes" and "High" jump 14-10, and 30-19 respectively whilst big hits "Since U Been Gone" and "You're Beautiful" slide gently into positions 27 and 26.
Mariah Carey is back with a hot double A-side "Get Your Number"/"Shake It Off" to follow up her 2 consecutive top 10's from earlier in the year. We also see the return of Nickelback in the lower half of the chart along with new bands Editors and We Are Scientists.
