Howdy, Chartaholics! (In honor of my good buddy, M-Dude, I want to clarify, "I am NOT a drunk.") This week I'm still feelin' Blue on David J's Fantastic 40. Fortunately, I'm not talking about feeling sad; I'm talking about continued enjoyment of the TyHi/Bethany Joy Lenz duet that holds at number one for a second week. In a mighty blue top two, now-defunct boyband Blue hold at #2 for a second week ... but ... gasp! ... the bullet is gone. This amazingly scandalous occurrence no doubt owes its existence to the fact that ex-Blue boy Simon Webbe debuts with "Lay Your Hands." In fact, I'm tossin' a big shout-out to my homie SHADY JAY for settin' me up with this lil' ditty. It's currently riding the top ten in the U.K., and it's my HOT SHOT DEBUT, in fact, so ... rush over to my website to see where it landed. The link is ever so conveniently located under my soulDecision banner. Thanks for popping in this week, Gang. Take good care of yourselves, and do have an ever-so pleasant week, won't you?

Hey David! Can't complain about the majority of your Top 10 - Tyler & Bethany, Rob Thomas, CabreraDude all doing well... and Ricky Martin's about to make the Top 10??? Personally I'm waiting for another tune. You're also showing a lot of love for The Bitch Hotel's "End Of Time", which is just such a great pick-me-up at the end of a long day. One of my favourites of the year. I see you've also latched onto the Green Day tune, the best track from American Idiot IMO. All this and my "My Humps" too! I don't always agree with your song choices, but your chart is always fun. Have a great week, and hope the string of hurricanes is passing by SC!

Very nice to see BEP hit that top 5 I hope they can hit #1. Nice moves for Kelly Clarkson, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Mariah Carey. And excellent to see those lovely humps of Fergie shaking their junk with a nice debut ;D

Hello David! I like that Ty-Hi/BJL song you have at #1...only made my New & Active. Pretty good top 10...with the exception of the Blue song, which I haven't heard, and "Cool", which I'm burnt out on. But nice to see CabreraDude enter top 10 and Robby and BEP top 5! Nice to see Kelly, Keith, BSB, Click Five, Green Day, Donna and FOB move up! FALL FEO RICARDO FALL! That is all. For now.

Hey David! Can't complain about the majority of your Top 10 - Tyler & Bethany, Rob Thomas, CabreraDude all doing well... and Ricky Martin's about to make the Top 10??? Personally I'm waiting for another tune. Hi, Bill! Thanks for popping in this week. Glad you found several entries to your liking. Somehow I knew you'd approve of Ty & Bethany at #1! Sorry you're not feeling the new Ricky Martin. It is not as fun as "She Bangs," the last song I really liked from him. However, it is good to hear something new. I am curious to hear the next single, in order to get a feel for what to expect from the album. I am particularly impressed with how great "End of Time" sounds when pumped out on my car stereo! It's summer of '77 all over again for 4 minutes.... I agree that this is the best track from AI. I enjoyed BOBD at first, but, gosh golly, did I ever burn on that bigtime. I just never got into "Holiday." Guess I'm too much of a Madonna snob to allow anybody else to steal her song titles. Thanks for the compliment, Bill! I also appreciate the fingercrossing for the hurricane to miss SC. Last I heard, it "bothered" a portion of the Outer Banks in North Carolina, so SC was spared. I was in the Outer Banks a couple of years ago. I hate to think of it as being damaged now, but it certainly could have been lots worse, when faced with the recent horrors of Katrina. Have a good week, Bill!

And excellent to see those lovely humps of Fergie shaking their junk with a nice debut ;D Howdy, Roger! ;D I dunno about BEP taking "Don't Lie" all the way. I do like the tune, but they are competing with themselves now that "My Humps" is zipping along. When I first heard "My Humps," I rolled my eyes so far back into my head that I scraped my tongue. However, through a well-coordinated mind-control campaign, my local CHR/pop and CHR/rhythmic have forced me to accept the song as a legitimate and horrifyingly catchy song.

"It" must have frozen over, because I just got a post from Adam. *David faints dead away, eventually coming to when Adam waves around smelling salts and plays "cinorI"* Hey, Adam, I am honored that you have graced my thread with your presence. I'm also just tickled green (for the sake of variety) that you found so many positive moments on my chart this week. ;D OMG, you are delusional, Dude! How could you call him "feo"? I won't fight too hard to defend the song, because it clearly is not among his best. However, it is catchy (like a cold), and ... he is not feo! Is that some sort of threat? Thanks, again, for popping in, Adam! I look forward to your return in another 12 months.

Ty-Hi #1 ;D Ryan top 10 ;d Hi, Popcorn Girl! I'm glad that you are feelin' the TyHi and Ryan tracks. It's always refreshing when you let your good musical taste come through. The Bananarama song wasn't released in the U.S., so the fact that I'm "late" on it is not significant. After all, I am just now wrapping up a chart run for a Sophie Ellis-Bextor single that is almost 2 years old. Better late than never!! As for "Back to Basics," it just hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart two weeks ago, so ... while it did come out in Europe months ago, it is currently stirring up U.S. dancefloors. Thanks for stopping by, Jess! Have a popcorn kind of week, all right?

Yay for Simon. Now I can see him going top 10 on your chart. Hey, Jay, I think you can see him going all the way to #1 on my chart! I've been very kind to Blue tracks on my chart, and I happen to like Simon's lil' song quite a lot.
