Greatest Gainer
Making a six-spot leap this week is Charlotte Church. Her song, "Crazy Chick", is really blowing up, and proof of that is her move, which earns the "Greatest Gainer" title this week. As of right now, there's no release date set for Charlotte's CD in the US.
Debuts
Debuting at #22 this week is chart veteran Ashlee Simpson. Her brand new single, "Boyfriend", is the first single off her sophomore album, "I Am Me", in stores October 18th. Now, by debuting at #22, Ashlee currently holds the record for highest debut of the year. In celebration of her continued success, Ashlee also becomes this week's Artist Of The Week. Congrats, Ashlee!
In at #32 this week is the brand new single by the Black Eyed Peas, "My Humps". After stations began playing the song non-stop, without it having been released, the Peas have had no choice but to release it, to give the public what they want. And it's paying off, as the song is blowing up on multiple formats, and now, on GWT40.
Charting again with his brand new single is Kanye West. "Gold Digger", the second single off of Kanye's sophomore album, is an all-around fun song that is extremely infectious. Within minutes of hearing it, it's difficult to not sing along to the chorus. The song enters the chart at #38 this week.
