Based on the personal charts from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends, these are technically my top songs of the summer.
John's Top 50 Songs Of The Summer
Honorable Mentions
Billy Gilman & Home Free - One Voice 2021
Originally recorded at age 11, more than 20 years later, Billy Gilman has re-recorded his signature song with acapella group Home Free. The original version reached #31 on my chart, while the new version despite having longevity only reached #34. It missed securing a place in the top 50 by a mere 2 points.
Niall Horan & Anne-Marie - Our Song
The former One Directioner teams up with British singer and "The Voice UK" judge Anne-Marie. Our Song debuted in June and has been climbing currently fluctuating in the 20s. The song still has a chance to make the final year-end chart, but missed the Summer countdown list by just 12 points.
Diana Ross - Thank You
The legendary Diana Ross is dropping her new album on November 5th and the first single has become her biggest hit on my chart, and her first appearance since her duet with Brandy, "Love is All That Matters" scraped the bottom of the chart in 1999. "Thank You" is still rising on my chart and shows promise to make the year-end chart.
