Future Hits:
Taylor Swift - Willow
The first single from Taylor's 9th studio album "Evermore," Willow had a slow start but managed to reach #25 on the weekly chart at the end of the quarter. While I don't see the song getting too much higher, it should manage a position in the mid-year chart if it can continue to hold.
Jason DeRulo f/Adam Levine - Lifestyle
The first single from Jason's upcoming 5th studio album. "Lifestyle" may have stiffed on the charts, but it still has some life left in it for me and could see some more points and qualify for the mid-year. #23 on the weekly chart at the end of the quarter.
Dan + Shay - Glad You Exist
I'm glad someone is. The follow-up to their #1 smash "I Should Probably Go To Bed," Glad You Exist looks to be existing around here for awhile. This is a definite top 10 contender in the near future. #24 on the weekly chart at the end of the quarter.
Honorable Mentions:
Miley Cyrus f/Dua Lipa - Prisoner
This song had a bit of a fast rise fast fall here, but still managed a #25 peak on my chart. The song actually tied with the Jonas Brothers for the #50 position in points, however due to tie breaks, this song JUST misses out on the quarter-end review.
Pentatonix - Once Upon A December
Pentatonix had a big hit earlier this year with "Happy Now." "Once Upon A December" appeared on their most recent Christmas album and is a cover from the Anastasia soundtrack. Since I don't really consider it a Christmas song, the song did have life after the New year and reached #32 on the weekly chart. Unfortunately the song dropped from the top 50 in the final week of the quarter, so a midyear position seems unlikely.
Lukas Graham - Share That Love
A holdover from 2020 that unfortunately is a victim of split-year syndrome. "Share That Love" did peak at #14 last year and had enough juice left to make a 2021 impact.
