I adore Belinda's vibrato! I think "In Too Deep" would be my fav of hers though. My friend is trying to convince me to go see Bananarama but when I said they're a bit before my time he threatened to cut up my gay-card "One Headlight" is incredible (My #108 on my list). "Behind These Hazel Eyes", "Flashdance", "Can't Stop The Feeling", "Hanging By A Moment" (My #82) What a gem of a surprise to see "Dare To Dream" on your list! I too remember watching that at age 16 and being so amazed.

"Stand Back", "Help Is On It's Way", "There You'll Be" (YAY), "Bette Davis Eyes"... Very interested in the 'Dixie Chicked' thing! Was that to do with the president? ..."Holding Out For A Hero" and "Treat Me Right"

About the Dixie Chicks, Natalie Maines said something against President Bush while she was touring the UK. Of course her Republican/country fanbase riled up against them and got them banned over 90% of the stations that would play their music. Their music was banned for many years. There were threats against their lives. Even at CMA award shows, the "stars" would speak out against the Chicks. It left a real bad taste in my mouth for many years.

I heard bits about it over here but all I really knew was that it was about President Bush and then they released "Not Ready To Make Nice" standing up for themselves (which was a song I personally liked, but obviously I don't follow American politics).
Thanks for explaining a bit more!
