Registrations for those who wish to play this year will begin soon. This is to get an idea on how it will play out.
Note: It should be obvious, but 'Elimination' means players will exit the game if their song scores the lowest in any given round, and the last person standing wins the game (as has been standard Song Contest rules in previous years). The bottom three go through to a secondary elimination round, and the lowest vote from that gets eliminated from the game. Only remaining players need to submit new songs each round, but remaining and eliminated contestants can still vote for their favourite "elimination song" in the polls.
'Points' means the highest amount of points go to the winning song in each round (eg. 8), and the lowest amount of points go to the least-popular song each round (eg. 1). If in one round, you have a bad run, you can possibly make up for it in a future round(s). The contestant with the highest amount of accumulated points at the end of the final round wins (ie. Non-elimination). Every player will need to submit a new song each round, however, there will be no elimination songs (as no-one is being eliminated) and therefore no bottom three nor elimination poll (ie. The game should run faster). The amount of rounds will depend on how many players decide to take part.

I have abused the current system by submitting risky songs that I know have no chance, only to play nice in elimination rounds. You also might have done it, cause we see hugely winning songs in those rounds. By accumulating points, the game reminds me more to Eurovision, which was my initial purpose all thosears ago. Imagine if we get a huge influx of folk, ambient and traditional country posters and they all play. Woudnt you feel left behind if you submit the hottest Rihanna hit only for the block of new posters to give it the cold shoulder? This new system allows everyone to remain true to themselves and still be able to show us songs that we might not know.

How about some kind of hybrid? Like having a few rounds where points accumulate, then eliminate when someone is far enough behind a la musical chairs, then have like a final 3, 4 or 5 where they all participate in a winner takes all scenario?

Hervard: In case anyone's wondering, that is a sentence I made up using the eight "exception" words to the "i before e except after c" rule - words with a long "e" sound, that is. I learned all of this in English class in my junior year in HS.

J.T.: Frickin' English...here are a couple mind-blowing sentences, in that they are grammatically correct: "All the faith he had had had had no effect on the outcome of his life" or "The complex houses married and single soldiers and their families."

J.T.: Some languages have tongue twisters. We don't need those in English. The whole gosh darn language is a tongue twister and a mind bender!
