Deborah Gibson's upcoming Broadway album, "Colored Lights," is due to be released on Fynsworth Alley Records on October 28, 2003.
A rough tracklisting:
On My Own (from Les Miserables) Who Are You Now? (from Funny Girl) I'd Rather Leave While I'm In Love (from The Boy from Oz) Raise The Roof! (from The Wild Party) I'm The Greatest Star (from Funny Girl) They All Laughed (from Shall We Dance) Let Me Entertain You (from Gypsy) Sex (from Skirts, a musical Deborah has been writing for quite some time) Blame It On The Summer Night (from Rags) Colored Lights (from The Rink) Anytime (I Am There) (from Elegies: A Song Cycle) Maybe This Time (from Cabaret) I Enjoy Being A Girl (from Flower Drum Song)

I just got an e-mail from an employee at Fynsworth Alley Records, asking me to help promote this upcoming album. He says that any help that can be provided to get the word is greatly appreciated. He's also asking for any ideas on how to promote it. I know a Broadway album is going to be a tough sell, but do any of you have any ideas that Fynsworth Alley could use promote the album?

Got some more "inside information" regarding this upcoming release:
*Fynsworth Alley will put snippets of the songs on their website (www.fynsworthalley.com), probably next week
*In the CD booklet, Deborah will explain her attraction to each song on the album
*The CD will be available on the website approximately one week before the October 28 release date; the website ships worldwide
*Fynsworth Alley may offer something extra special on the website for purchasing it through them (I don't have any more detail than that)
*The album will be available in stores across the US on October 28, 2003; approximately 1-2 weeks later, it will be available in select stores worldwide

If she is, then the way to go would be through radio promotions, otherwise it would be an extremely tough sell

Also, the in-store signing on October 28 has been postponed until further notice.
