One of the biggest country hits of 2004: To me this song represents one of the less talked about cultural phenomena of the mid 2000s, which was the whole redneck pride thing. This was a time period where Larry The Cable Guy was a big time comedian, NASCAR ratings were through the roof and songs like this were making it big. In general, just millions of people taking pride in that stuff. It probably means nothing to non-USA posters, but I think JessieLou would know what I'm talking about. This song is ok to me for the occasional comedy listen. Gretchen actually has a LOT of talent as she showed while rocking out with Alice in Chains in 2007. I wish she had recorded hard rock music instead of this style of music.

Not really into a lot of country but this song was just plain fun. Wish I charted it, though I'm about as far from being a redneck as possible.

I f*cking HATE redneck culture so naturally I'm not crazy about this song, but I agree that she was talented and had other decent songs.

I don't mind this right now, but I am going to hate this song years down the line when I realize that I f*cking hate redneck culture with the burning of a thousand suns. OH NO I SAID A BAD WORD

Fun fact!!! We were totally gonna go the redneck route with our first album. But then BILLY'S BEAUTIFUL BASS changed the game and the rest is history! If you still remember that history, PLEASE SEE US at Sam's Club on the 8th at Wellesley, Massachusetts! I have a good feeling this one will be PACKED, so don't miss your chance!
