In this thread we discuss NOTHING but Puddle Of Mudd's debut 1994 EP "Stuck". Discuss away!

Puddle of Mudd is pretty awesome. If their lead singer had died then they could have Gin Blossoms, Blind Melon, or Nirvana fame. Okay, maybe not Kurt Cobain. But this certainly kicks ass. This was a timely and damn good EP given where the grunge movement was at the time. Can I call it quintessential Kansas grunge? If so then it is population of genre: 1: Puddle of Mudd. We all know Drift & Die is something special. It's up there with She f*cking Hates Me and Blurry. But what about the album cover? It speaks to me the way Miley Cyrus coughing up glitter speaks to teenagers today.

Hold the f*ck up. The singer from the Gin Blossoms died?? Suicide in the early '90s, just as they were achieving fame. I was in 7th or 8th grade. Gina Blossoms were one of my favorite bands and then Poof! Dead and gone.

Also, I can't help but feel that Stacie Orrico was trying to steal some Puddle Of Mudd success by naming her song "Stuck".

Wait a sec... did Gin Blossoms had a former lead singer? Cause the singer who sang songs like Follow You Down or Jealousy was still singing in the 00's.

I just looked it up, it was actually the guitarist in their early days. Still very sad though.

I just looked it up, it was actually the guitarist in their early days. Still very sad though. Really? All this time I thought it was the lead singer. Okay, I looked it up. He was the songwriter/founder/guitarist. So he wasn't the singer, but seeing as how the Gin Blossoms have basically sucked since their debut album...well, at least now we know the importance of songwriter/band founder/lead guitarists.

lol Well, Congratulations I'm Sorry was a great album. Memphis Time, Competition Smile, Follow You Down, As Long As It Matters, all these were amazing songs, that to me, are superior to anything on their debut.
