Hey y'all, Well, just a week after this crazy mofo was early, I'm right back to posting on my scheduled date. *sigh* Saturdays at work... gotta love 'em! Like most Saturdays, I'm down at the office... Working on hour... 8? Yeah, 8 is about right. However, no hockey tonight, which is kinda nice. For those of you who don't pay attention, or don't care, the Kelowna Rockets were SHUT OUT last night by the Seattle Thunderbirds. It was such a bad game. It was nights like last night that I'm ashamed to be associated with the team... LOL. Nah, I kid. I love those boys. They have a special place in my heart, you know, since we went through the whole Memorial Cup thing together. This week's chart FINALLY sees the debut of the GREATEST SONG EVER, Alanis Morissette's "Eight Easy Steps." Oh wait... no it doesn't. That was just for you, Jess However, 3 debuts highlight a chart filled with Fall cleaning. Is there a new number one? What songs debuted? WHERE THE HELL IS CABRERA? Read on, and if you like what you see, tell me about it. Chances are, I'll have a witty comeback. Dan's Top 20 for the week of October 16-22LW | TW | ARTIST | SONG | ALBUM | 14 | 20 | Dashboard Confessional | Vindicated | Spiderman 2 Soundtrack | 11 | 19 | Maroon 5 | She Will Be Loved | Songs About Jane | | 18 | Simple Plan | Welcome To My Life | Still Not Getting Any... | 19 | 17 | Lindsay Lohan | Rumors | Lindsay | | 16 | Keane | Somewhere Only We Know | Hopes & Fears | | 15 | Gwen Stefani | What You Waiting For? | Love, Angel, Music, Baby | 17 | 14 | Tiger Army | Rose Of The Devil's Garden | Tiger Army III: Ghost Tigers Rise | 7 | 13 | Green Day | American Idiot | American Idiot | 15 | 12 | Jimmy Eat World | Pain | Futures | 12 | 11 | The Libertines | Can't Stand Me Now | The Libertines | 13 | 10 | U2 | Vertigo | How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb | 6 | 9 | Ryan Cabrera | On The Way Down | Take It All Away | 10 | 8 | The Used | Take It Away | In Life & Death | 2 | 7 | Linkin Park | Breaking The Habit | Meteora | 9 | 6 | Britney Spears | My Prerogative | Greatest Hits: My Prerogative | 8 | 5 | Ciara f. Man oh man...where do I even begin? First off, great chart you've made yourself here! Both Keane and Gwen make a splash on your chart! Good timing too! If you haven't checked my chart yet, Keane is my greatest gainer this week (48-38). Have you seen the new Gwen Stefani video yet? It's awesome; I love it! Man, it seems like Gwen can do no wrong in my eyes as of now. ;D Our princesses of pop (Britney, Lindsay) are moving in the right direction. Good for you! I'm surprised to see Dashboard Confessional still hanging on, but it looks like this might be their last week on your chart. Glad to see you holding off on "Eight Easy Steps". I don't understand the rave for that track. It's decent, but it's still nowhere near Jagged Little Pill-esque. In my eyes, she's lost it although "Hands Clean" showed promise. Go Kelly Clarkson Go! Looks like there's gonna be a battle between Kelly & Vanessa, AND Yellowcard (who won't budge). Should be interesting to see what happens next week.

Dan, Byran(The poster formerly known as "M!") mentioned "good timing." As an example of "good timing," I would like to point out that you dropped Tyler Hilton off your list the same week that YMH rose to the top of the heap on my list. Oh, wait, that's not an example of good timing. Isn't that ironic? And speaking of ironic, thank you for your highly guffawable comment to Jess. Good on ya, Mate I like "8 Easy Steps," but it's not chartbound on my list; that's for sure. I'm afraid the last Alanis ditty I enjoyed was "Hands Clean." This week I'm pleased to report that I can praise you for your excellent taste in #1s. Thanks to your generosity (and a small bit of whining on my part), I have gotten to know the Yellowcard track so well that it debuted on my list this week. Please follow my chart carefully, so you will know when to drop Yellowcard from your list! I appreciate your interest in following the antics of the U.S. election. That's the only explanation I can give for your love of "White Houses." Speaking of CabreraDude (Yeah, I know I wasn't speaking of him, but he's never far off my mind ), when shall we expect you to debut "True"? I recall that you think it's the worst track on the album, but surely you won't shut it out ... or will you? Inquiring minds want to know (or your stalker-like fans, anyway!) ;D

Good Chart. Hopefully; Britney, Ciara & Kelly will triple team Vanessa and stop her ascent to the top. Good luck to Simple Plan and Gwen Stefani, bust the Top 10!

Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Ciara, Kelly Clarkson, and Vanessa Carlton on the climb. ;D Maroon 5 and Ryan Cabrera falling. All five of those ladies have fantastic songs out right now. Watch for Carlton to continue her string of #1 hits with "White Houses" as early as next week. As for Maroon 5, come on! They were already #1. It's not like they've done nothing. And Cabrera? Come on... is 9 weeks at number one not enough for ya?

First off, great chart you've made yourself here! Naturally. I saw your chart, I loved your chart. As for Gwen, her image has yet to grace any screen I've stared at, so I'll be keepin' my eyes open for the video. Britney will forever be my girl. As for Lindsay, this is the kinda music that Hilary Duff should be doing if she wanted any kind of second album hype. Bubblegum is soooo out! Yeah, look for Dashboard to finally depart the chart next week. All I can say is that "Vindicated" had an awsome chart run, and I'll be upset to be Dashboard-less. The best thing about "Eight Easy Steps" is the video, and it's been done before, so that says a lot. Fact is, Alanis has more or less lost her touch. Being happy and engaged and everything didn't help her. Come on, Uncle Joey... where are you? Kelly's hit has been on longer than Vanessa's, so "Breakaway" has proven it has longevity on its side. Look for "White Houses" to hit the top next, if only for a short run, and then Kelly to take over. And Yellowcard? I'm surprised at their longevity. But I ain't complaining. It's a grand track.

I'm still loving "On The Way Down" (doubt I'll ever STOP loving it), but "True" is waiting in the wings for a weak group of debuts.

Fantastic too see Simple Plan and Gwen debut. WTML is a bit of a dud with me, but Gwen's jam is simply sensational.
Great too see Britney, Ciara, and Kelly all in the top 6. Girl power at it's finest.
GO RUMORS! Brilliant dance track. Go Lindsay for putting out a solid pop/dance tune.

And I guess I can see why Maroon 5 and Ryan Cabrera are dropping...it's just weird, they're still in my top 3. Haha. They should make good appearances on my year-end chart.
