This week is focused on 2001, which is right up there with 1998 and 2009 as being one of my all-time favorite years for the format. Here's how I'd rank the #1s:
1. Schism 2. How You Remind Me 3. It's Been Awhile 4. Hanging By A Moment 5. Drive 6. In The End 7. Butterfly 8. Outside 9. Smooth Criminal

This one is really tough. Like last week I really like them all except for one that I can't stand, that being Tool's "Schism" (sorry KP ) 1. In The End 2. Hanging By A Moment 3. How You Remind Me 4. Drive 5. Smooth Criminal 6. It's Been Awhile 7. Butterfly 8. Outside (I prefer Staind's studio version though) 9. Schism

1. Hanging By A Moment 2. In The End 3. How You Remind Me 4. It's Been Awhile 5. Butterfly (was a #1 for me but hasn't lasted as well as the 4 above it) 6. Drive 7. Smooth Criminal 8. Outside 3476934860928356097103670. Schism (one of the worst songs ever IMO; Cody I agree with you on this one)

Crazy Town
If I'm not mistaken, "Butterfly" is one of only 2 songs in the 2000's which hit #1 on the Hot 100 by an artist who never again made the Hot 100 at all.

1. Hanging By A Moment 2. In The End 3. It's Been Awhile 4. Butterfly 5. Drive 6. How You Remind Me 7. Smooth Criminal 8. Schism (sorry KP but I'm with Bry and Cody on this one, I could never get into Tool)
I don't remember "Outside", actually.

It's considered to be one of the best live singles ever. And I think you'd absolutely love it. Aaron Lewis and Fred Durst unplugged:

Ok I remember this now, I do like it. I'd put it in between HYRM and SC.

Since only two songs are tied here, I'm locking it and allowing both "Hanging By A Moment" and "In The End" to advance to the final poll. The 2000 and 2002 polls have three way ties and will be left open for now.
