This is inspired by both Jessie's strong disliking of Miley as well as the current freak-out over her risque VMA performance. I'm thinking yes. How about you guys?

Sure. I would love to have a chance to sing, "La da dee da dee, dancing with Miley" and really do so.

Another thing - I believe the line is "dancing with Molly", referring to ecstasy. When Slutley performed last night MTV censored that line.

I never noticed that before. But I would believe it, now that I think about what else "a line in the bathroom" could refer to.

A friend on last.fm just told me Ben should send her a gift basket for taking away the attention to his getting the Batman role. LOL I love Ben, but thankfully Miley drew most of the spotlight So yes, as a gift, I might consider dancing with ehr

Robin Thicke wasn't even thick by Miley's performance. I guess that's what happens when your idea of entertainment is porn stars and strippers. Miley was no where near the arena seen in some of his videos...
Robin Thicke's mother, Gloria Loring, reacts to Miley Cyrus's VMA performance with her son. "Him? Loved it. I love that suit, the black and white suit," Loring said, praising her son's outfit. "I don't understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do... I think she's misbegotten in this attempt of hers," Loring continued. "And I think it was not beneficial." While Loring was clearly unimpressed by Cyrus' R-rated antics, Thicke's wife, Paula Patton wasn't miffed by the younger pop star making public advances at her spouse.

Sure. Why not? It would be fun! I wouldn't mind la-da-dee-da-dee...chilin' with Miley! lol! Even though this is The Lighter Side, in all seriousness, her VMA performance didn't bother me one bit. She's old enough to do whatever the heck she wants. It DID seem a little desperate, but I'm not "clutching my pearls" in shock and anger like the rest of the country seems to be doing. She got what she wanted. Everyone's still talking about her and that performance. I think, after finally being free of Disney, she's trying her hardest to separate herself from that world. I think there are more subtle ways for her to say "I'm not Hannah Montana anymore, people!" That VMA performance was certainly an extreme move, but so what? It's not the first shocking thing anyone's ever done on stage and it won't be the last. I liked "We Can't Stop" before. I still like it now. If I like another song she releases, it'll find its way onto my chart too!

I agree, I mean I do have problems with her performance but they are certainly not the problems everyone in this thread seems to have.

If this was the first time Miley did something attention-seeking like this, it wouldn't annoy me so much. But considering this is the 574th time she has done this I'm really REALLY sick of it. And her in general. Same thing with Gaga, if that was the first time she pranced around almost naked on stage, I wouldn't care less, but every photo and video of her that has come out so far this era has been her naked. The girl walks around in NYC in JANUARY when it's freezing cold in nothing but a bra. WHO DOES THAT??? There's being sexy and showing you're grown up, and there's also being a desperate attention whore. #THICKE should've performed on his own. But I did find the fact that they asked his mother what she thought of the performance pretty funny.
