www.last.fm/user/jessielou910/tracksEver since yesterday I've been doing something I've never done before - listen to EVERY SINGLE SONG I've charted in order of debut (I'm up to Spring 2004 right now, and yes I'm even listening to the songs I hate now ). Have any of you done anything like that, you know just to look back at how much your tastes have changed or just for fun? I'm enjoying looking back so far ;D Watch when I get to the week I debuted "Mama's Room" by Under The Influence Of Giants and I'll have a change of heart. P.S. - WHAT IN THE HELL WAS I THINKING CHARTING "FEEL GOOD TIME" IN MY TOP 10?! That song is a HOT MESS. No wonder Pink was losing popularity at that time! P.S. (again) - Bryan, if you're reading this right now, PLEASE HOOK A SISTA UP with John's "Water World" (either the Rob64 or Snoop Lion Dogg remix) and "Mercy" please ;D

jajajja No, can't say I've ever embarked in such a titanic thing ajjajaa, but it's a really cool idea. I started my chart in 1995, so the number of songs is a lot. I do, however, sometimes pick random charts from the past and listen to them. Sometimes it is hard to find some songs online, but mostly I succeed. Such a fun thing to do Jess!

I was thinking of making a playlist for every song I've charted and then using one of the empty fields in my iTunes to write in the peak position for the song on my chart but then I run into two issues. Which of my charts do I use and which empty field would I put the number in.
I wish iTunes allowed for custom fields when making mp3 tags so we could include stuff like that with songs.
I don't have John's songs on my computer offhand but I have them on my harddrive somewhere along with all the other songs from that period. I want to know if John has my demo of Mercy that I made when I made the music for it back in 2006.

I did this, but just listened to all of my #1s. Listening to every song I ever charted would take a seriously long time, but it's a very intriguing thing to try.

I‘ve thought about it, but there are so many songs I hate now that I‘d never want to listen to again.

This tends to happen when I put my playlist on "Shuffle" when I'm walking around town. I listen to some of the tracks I used to chart and am just in disbelief at either that I haven't heard them in years or that i charted them at all

With more than 100,000 plays on my Last FM playing all songs that I charted since 2005 will be impossible... not to mention that I used to keep paper charts off and on through the 1970s, 80s and 90s. So my coverage of top 20 hits is pretty damn wide... for charted songs and then some ... olides, album tracks, etc. Way too much music in my collection to listen to it all - digital tracks, CD, tapes, vinyl... Yikes.
