Week 82 – September 22^nd, 2012

Nothing is new at the top of my chart. Cover Drive feat. Dappy reached this year’s record mark for four weeks at the top with “Explode”. In two week’s this could be the first song with six weeks at #1. “Senza averti mai” by Emma is holding #2 for a third week. The podium is completed by Taylor Swift. “We are never ever getting back together” is climbing up the chart in short steps. This week from 4 to 3. On its way out is “Good time” by Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen which is now at #8. Two songs are new within the Top 10. Anouk finally scores her 6th Top 10 hit out of her album “To get her together”. “Better off alone” jumped from 14 to 9. Also scoring her 6th Top 10 hit is Kate Voegele. “Sunshine in my sky” climbed 18-10 in its 5th week.

The Top 20 only sees one new song. Mic Donet who had a #2 hit with “Losing you” reached #18 with “Pray 4 rain” which would have been the better choice as the 2nd single as it “Plenty of love” has been. Jukebox The Ghost made a new album. The first single “Somebody” out of the album “Save travels” leads them to a good debut at #43 which is this week’s highest new entry. All other Top 50 entries are album cuts from Kelly Clarkson’s album “Stronger”. At #46 “Einstein” – I always smile when she is singing “simple math” – and #47 “Standing in front of you” gave their debut. Missing a Top 50 debut by two spots is newcomer Kristyna Myles with “I’m not going back”. The greatest gainer of the week can be found in the lower regions. It is “Ready to go” by Lonsdale Boys Club at #73.

Week 83 – September 29^th, 2012

Cover Drive feat. Dappy are doing well. “Explode” is #1 for a fifth week in a row. It’s the first time since Anouk did the same last year with her smash hit “What have you done”. And it is only the third song which reached the five week mark at the top. New at the runner’s up position is Taylor Swift. “We are never ever getting back together” collects higher peaks like a squirrel collects nuts. So it’s only a matter of time when she can collect her first #1. The podium is rounded off with Emma. Chris Wallace and Wonder Girls feat. Akon changed the spots so that “Remember when (push rewind)” is now at #5. All in all there has been a lot of action in this week’s Top 10.

The gaps between 11 and 20 see a drop out of “Say you’re mine” by Kate Voegele and “Good girl” by Carrie Underwood to #21 and #22. These songs have a lot of staying power, but for now they have been by replaced some interesting songs. New at #16 is the follow up to “Good girl”. After struggling outside the Top 20 “Blown away” finally reached this section. Also new are the Korean song “I love you” by 2ne1 at #18 and the rock song “Alive” by Adelitas Way #19. The greatest gainer of the week is Mic Donet with “Half a man” at #56.

Speaking of the new entries means that I’ve to speak of Ben Montague. I haven’t heard of this English singer before, but by hazard I found out his new single from his upcoming album and his first album which has been released in March 2011. After listening to his first album “Overcome” I started to enjoy it. “Overcome” can be compared with the albums “Letters” by Matt Cardle or “Plenty of love” by Mic Donet which I also bought this year. So I decided to chart Ben Montague’s first album before I chart his new single. The first three charting songs from “Overcome” are his singles from singles from 2009 and 2010 and one album cut. So “Haunted” debuts at #64, “Rainy day” at #43 and “Can’t hold me down” at #53. The only other Top 50 debut beside Ben Montague comes from the US duo Jack and White. “Double trouble” gives its debut at #47. Also to mention is the solid debut by Aerosmith with “What could have been love” at #52. Other debuts come from Delta Goodrem with “Dancing with a broken heart” (#57), Marie-Mai with “C.O.B.R.A.” (#83), Xia with his English song “Uncommitted” (#84), Alessandra Amoroso with “Ciao” (#89), Fools Garden with “Innocence” (#92), Ayah Marar with “Mind controller” (#94) and Kara with “Pandora” (#95).

Week 84 – October 6^th, 2012

There aren’t many records for the eternity. This week Cover Drive feat. Dappy broke the record for staying at #1. It’s their sixth week in a row with “Explode” since debuting at the top. Once more Taylor Swift only get the silver medal. “We are never ever getting back together” is for the second time at #2. New at #3 is Chris Wallace. “Remember when (push rewind)” continues the upwind. And there are two new artist in this week’s Top 5. At #4 UK girl band Parade peaks with “Light me up” and at #5 is Kate Voegele. “Sunshine in my sky” is her fourth Top 5 which maybe could end as her third #1 hit. She is also breaking a record this week. She is the first artist on my chart to place a seventh hit in the Top 10. “Impatient girl” climbed 12-9. Also new in the Top 10 is Mic Donet’s “Pray for rain” at #8. Sprinting to #10 is Korean girl band 2ne1 with “I love you”. 2ne1 is the third act from South Korea reaching the Top 10 while the Wonder Girls are dropping out this week. “I love you” is also the first song in Korean to reach this part of my chart since last December when Kim Bo Kyung peaked at #10 with “Hurt”.

Outside the Top 10 there is also a lot of competition, but not as much as in the Top 10. Adelitas Way is continuing the run to #15 with “Alive” and Austrian act Coshiva finally reached #20. This week’s greatest gainer of the week is Korean act Kara. “Pandora” debuted last week at #95 and storms to #51. The highest new entry comes from the UK. Boy band One Direction had two hits with “What makes you beautiful” and the actual chart hit “One thing” (#26). This week their new single “Live while we’re young” from their new album “Take me home” debuts at #36. It’s this year’s third song with the youth theme. “We are young” by Fun. feat. Janelle Monáe peaked at #23 and “Wir sind wie wir sind“ by the Austrian band Lucky Strikes Back peaked at #10. If they could continue this run they could have their first Top 10 hit. Not far behind is Pink’s new single “Try” at #37.

And there are several more interesting new songs on the list. Matt Cardle is placing two more songs from his debut album. “Stars and Lovers” at #61 and “Beat of a breaking heart” at #84. Rihanna is going to release one more album. The first single of this album is “Diamonds” which debuts at #68. And there is a debut for Joe Cocker. And you should have a look at “Finders keepers” by Miriam Bryant. This Swedish newcomer has a beautiful voice and is compared with Adele. Quite rightly! And really her debut single could have been a song on Adele’s sophomore album “21”. Other new entries come from Freytag with “Ans Meer” (To the sea, #63), Harris & Ford feat. Week 85 – October 13^th, 2012

After breaking the record last week, this week the run at #1 is ending for Cover Drive feat. Dappy. But who knows, maybe they are back next week. This week “Explode” is only at the runner’s up position. New at #1 is US-Star Taylor Swift. With her fourth charting song she earns the #1 for the first with “We are never ever getting back together”. Unfortunately this song didn’t reach the Austrian Chart until now while this song is a hit in Germany and Switzerland. Replacing Chris Wallace at #3 are Parade. Their song “Light me up” is making them the first girl band reaching the Top 3. The Korean girl band Wonder girls missed the Top 5 a few weeks ago with “Like money”. Also climbing up is Kate Voegele. “Sunshine in my sky” is now at #4 and this song is another #1 candidate. There are no new songs within the Top 10, but Pink with “Blow me (one last kiss)” and Emma with “Senza averti mai” are on their way down.

Since weeks Sam Gray is knocking at the door to the Top 10. This week his is back at #11 with “This girl”. Unfortunately he got big concurrence. The first comes from this week’s shooting star. 21-year-old Swedish newcomer Miriam Bryant debuted last week at #83. With her beautiful voice and this beautiful song “Finders keepers” she climbed to #12. This week’s greatest gainer is followed by the highest new entry. It’s “Your body” by Christina Aguilera. It’s her first charting hit since “Moves like Jagger” last year. Christina Aguilera isn’t the only superstar returning or debuting to my chart this week. At #44 Adele is debuting with “Skyfall”. Last year she had three #1 songs including the 2011 year end #1 “Turning tables”. Everything is arranged that this song could be her next top hit.

But the superstar concurrence is large this week. So Robbie Williams’ first solo single since the re-union of Take That is his chart debut. “Candy” is already an airplay hit in Austria, but until today it failed to chart which is only a matter of time. “Candy” debuts at #54. Beside Christina Aguilera, Adele and Robbie Williams Bruno Mars presented his new single “Locked out of heaven” (#60). And speaking of superstars I’m not allowed to forget Alanis Morissette. This week she placed two album cuts of her new album “Havoc and bright lights” in the countdown. “Woman down” starts at #38 and “ ‘til you” at #51.

The rest of this week’s debuts are Camryn with “Now or never” (#72), Gin Wigmore (#81), Haley Ray with “Blow my mind” (#85), Sara Nardelli with “Brennender Asphalt” (Burning asphalt, #86), Anna Depenbusch with “Sommer aus Papier” (Summer made of paper, #93), Prey with “Running dry” (#96) and Ryan Cabrera with “I see love” (#98).

Week 86 – October 20^th, 2012

Taylor Swift fought against Cover Drive feat. Dappy. And she won for the second time. So “We are never ever getting back together” is still at #1 and “Explode” at the runner’s up position. New at #3 is Kate Voegele with “Sunshine in my sky”. Last week’s #3 “Light me up” by Parade is down to #5. Mic Donet is back in my Top 5 with “Pray 4 rain”. Earlier this year his song “Losing you” peaked at #2. “Pray 4 rain” has the chance to do the same or to go further. New in the Top 10 are two acts. For both it is their first Top hit on my chart. Let’s start with the newcomer. Miriam Bryant’s debut single continued the uptrend. So “Finders keepers” peaks now at #9. And finally Sam Gray grabs his first Top 10 hit with “This girl”.

Unfortunately Christina Aguilera failed to reach the Top 10 in her second week, but I’m sure that she will do it next week. Also in a good position are Anuhea with “Higher than the clouds” (#15) and Ben Montague with “Rainy day” (#16). Jukebox The Ghost’s second chart hit is their first Top 20 smash hit. “Somebody” climbed up seven spots to #18 and is an outsider for the next week’s Top 10. Sprinting into the Top 20 is German singer Mandy Capristo with her ballade “Closer” (#19). Last week was characterized by several superstar entries. This week one of them gains the greatest gainer of the week. It’s Robbie Williams. His latest smash “Candy” climbed up 26 spots to #28. Not far behind is this week’s highest debut. It comes from a new German act. Leslie Clio places her single debut “Told you so” at #36 which is a very strong debut.

Between the rest of new songs, in total 14 songs gave their debut, two songs could improve. First to mention is 2010 UK X-factor runner’s up Rebecca Ferguson. With her latest song “Backtrack” she reached my chart for the first time. “Backtrack” debuts at #68. And at #66 the Japanese single “Love tension” from South Korean group 4minute debuts. Other debuts are Evermore with “Follow the sun” (#81), EvoL with “We are a bit different” (#82), Lucky Uke feat. Week 87 – October 27^th, 2012

All in all Taylor Swift had a good two week run at the top, but this week “We are never ever getting back together” dropped to #3. She has been replaced by Kate Voegele who scores her third #1 and the second #1 this year following “Say you’re mine”. “Sunshine in my sky” is a beautiful song, but this week’s top new entry maybe prevents her to get a second week. Speaking about this week’s highest new entry means a new entry within the Top 10. It’s Alanis Morissette with her second single. “Receive” is also her second song debuting directly within the Top 10. Earlier this year “Guardian” debuted at #8 and went to #1 for only one week. So far “Receive” is my favourite track on her new album. Debuting at #4 is a good sign and she has a good chance to grab her second #1 this year. Beside this top new entry there hasn’t been a lot of competition in this week’s Top 10. Christina Aguilera entered this section with her latest smash hit “Your body” at #9.

In the wake of the top debut “Woman down” by Alanis Morissette climbed up 15 spots to #20. Doing well is “Backtrack” by Rebecca Ferguson. Last week she debuted at #68. This week she is the greatest gainer of the week by climbing 30 spots to #38. The next best new entry after “Receive” is coming from South Korean girl band Secret at #44. Especially the saxophone part makes this song special. And I also like the video inspired by the 1940’s. The third new entry in the Top 50 comes from Wales. Marina and The Diamonds scores the third chart hit. They biggest hit for Marina had been “Primadonna” earlier this year which peaked within the Top 10. “How to be a heartbreaker” debuts at #48 and could be another solid chart hit for her.

This week sees 14 new entries. Beside the three I mentioned before the new entries come from Lifehouse feat. Natasha Bedingfield with “Between the raindrops” (#60), Carly Rae Jepsen with “This kiss” (#62), C½ur de Pirate with “Les amours dévouées” (Loves dedicated, #69), Dominique Pruitt with “To win your love” (#78), Katy Perry with “Hummingbird heartbeat” (#79), Klee with “Nimm dein Leben in die Hand” (Take your life in your hand,#80), C½ur de Pirate with “Place de la république” (Republic square, #85), Queensberry with “Girl like me” (#91), Massari with “Brand new day” (#94), Ciara with “Sorry” (#95) and Zaho with “Boloss” (#96).

Week 88 – November 3^rd, 2012

Last week everything showed the direction where Alanis Morissette had to go this week. And there she is this week. With “Receive” she scored her second #1 song while “Guardian” is still within the Top 30. Her run to #1 led all Top 3 songs from last week to a one spot drop. Sadly “Sunshine in my sky” had to leave the top position after only one week. Also on their way up are two female artists. “Finders keepers” by Miriam Bryant is now at #6 while “Your body” by Christina Aguilera climbed to #7. Falling out of the Top 10 is the Korean girl band 2ne1. They’ve been replaced by Ben Montague. “Rainy day” is his first Top 10 hit. And for the first time I’ve two songs about rain in my Top 10. At #5 it is Mic Donet with “Pray 4 rain”. His prayer was now answered by Ben Montagues with “Rainy day”.

Outside the Top 10 there are some new candidates. Jukebox The Ghost is still climbing up the chart. “Sombody” (#12) is ready for the Top 10. If they will score the band’s first Top 10 hit depends on how the other contenders will do next week. But who are these contenders? First to mention is Alanis Morissette. “Woman down” (#14) is climbing up the chart faster since “Receive” debuted last week. Then there is Robbie Williams who’s latest single smash hit “Candy” (#25) is very, very catchy. In the position for the next weeks are also One Direction, Leslie Clio and Bruno Mars. Generally there hasn’t been a lot of action by new entries this week. So let’s go the greatest gainer of the week. It is “Boloss” (#63). Last week the Algerian-Canadian singer Zaho debuted with this fresh dance song which has a pretty good outlook. Another notable mover comes from Chinese Wanting who is also living in Canada. “Life is like a love song” (#68) has a sing-along refrain which I like. In her third week she finally sprinted out of the bottom spots to a respectable chart position.

The highest of eight new entries comes from Estonia. Liis Lemsalu won the fourth season of the Estonian version of Idol series. Her latest English single “Lightning in a bottle” gives her a solid debut at #65. Not far behind is last year’s X-factor winner from the UK. “Wings” by Little Mix finally reached my chart for a #66 debut. German one and only female superstar Nena who is a judge of “The Voice of Germany” released a new track called “Das ist nicht alles” (That’s not all, #75). No Doubt removed their music video for “Looking hot” shortly after posting it on Youtube. Despite the problems with this video they got their second chart entry at #88. The other debuts come from PK with “Berelain” (#92), Emty Flags with “Until I die” (#93), Tom Beck with “Ain’t got you (#97) and Mutine with “Pose tes mains” (Put your hands, #98).

Week 89 – November 10^th, 2012

While the year 2012 is going to an end Alanis Morissette's run at the #1 spot is still at the beginning. “Receive” is leading the pack for a second week. A comeback at the runner’s up position are giving Cover Drive feat. Dappy. “Explode” is on a record course. This week they broke Lana Del Rey’s record for staying in the Top 3 which had been 10 weeks with “Video games”. Also climbing up is Taylor Swift with “We are never ever getting back together" while Kate Voegele’s “Sunshine in my sky" dropped to #4. Otherwise there are some position changes in the Top 10 except the only new song. This song comes from Alanis Morissette. “Woman down” climbed 14-8 in its 5th week.

Knocking for a Top 10 spot are once more Jukebox The Ghost. “Somebody” climbed up one spot, but it wasn’t enough. And they feel the shadow of Robbie Williams in their back. “Candy” continues the run by climbing up two spots to #13. And this isn’t enough. One Direction, Bruno Mars and Matt Cardle also make a claim for a Top 10 spot. After a debut at #88 No Doubt’s “Looking hot” is this week’s greatest gainer of the week. The refrain is catchy and it helped them to shoot up the chart. Like last week the highest new entry can be found outside the Top 50. This week it is a single which has been released a year ago, but I didn’t recognise it. So Kim Bo Kyung’s second Korean pop rock song “Without U” debuts this week at #51.

In total 10 songs gave their debut this week. These debuts are “Rien n’est parfait” (Nothing is perfect) by Tal (#56), “Whistle” (a Flo Rida cover with a different text) by Jake Miller (#68), “Cliche (hush hush)” by Alexandra Stan (#77), “Get back in line” by Amanda Hawkins (#84), “You took off” by I Kissed Charles (#89), “Ausflug ins Blaue” (Trip into the blue) by Chima (#92), “Lost and found” by Moya (#94), “Human” by Manafest (#95), “Cukup tak lagi” (No longer enough) by Geisha (#96) and “Unstoppable” by Ayah Marar (#98).

Week 90 – November 17^th, 2012

Still at #1 is Alanis Morissette. “Receive” is leading the pack for a third week in a row. On the other hand there is new concurrence at the podium. Swedish newcomer Miriam Bryant reached in her 7th week with her debut single “Finders keepers” the runner’s up position. She is followed by Christina Aguilera. Her leading single “Your body” from her new album completes the Top 3. For the first time outside the Top 3 after 11 weeks is Cover Drive feat. Dappy. “Explode” slipped down to #4, but there are only two more weeks to go to break one more record. Falling down to #5 is “We are never ever getting back together” by Tyler Swift. Outside the Top 5 there are some position changes. While “Woman down” by Alanis Morissette is climbing up Mic Donet’s recent hit “Pray 4 rain” is on its way down. For the first time in the Top 10 can be found Jukebox The Ghost. “Somebody” finally climbed 11-10.

Robbie Williams’ latest smash “Candy” is now in the waiting position for next week’s Top 10. And for the first time in a while Matt Cardle has also the chance to get in there. “Stars & lovers” is now at #12 while his only #1 “Starlight” is fighting for a big year-end position. This week’s greatest gainer of the week comes from the German star Nena. “Das ist nicht alles” is the opening track for her new album and jumps this week from #69 to #46. As last week this week’s highest debut is outside the Top 50. It comes from Gabrielle Aplin. Earlier this year she charted with her debut “Home”. Her Franky Goes To Hollywood cover of “The power of love” debuts at #59. “Catch my breath” has a little bit disappointing debut at #65. But I’m sure Kelly Clarkson will go up the chart within the next weeks.

The other debuts come from Karmin with “Hello” (#71), Taylor Swift with “Begin again” (#72), Emma with “Ti capita mai” (Do you ever, #77), Emma with “Maledetto quel girono” (Damn the day [her actual single], #78), 3 Doors Down with “One light” (#89), Noisettes with “That girl” (#90), Plumb with “Need you now (how many times)” (#94), Twenty Twenty with “Trouble” (#99) and Francisca Valenzuela with “Qué seria” (#100).

Week 91 – November 24^th, 2012

This week brings no big surprise at the top. The Top three is holding steady and so Alanis Morissette can celebrate her fourth week at #1 followed by Miriam Bryant and Christina Aguilera. The only new song within the Top 5 is “Woman down” another track of Alanis Morissette’s new album. Robbie Williams gives his Top 10 debut with his latest hit song “Candy” at #8 which is followed by another new Top 10 song. It’s “Locked out of heaven”. For Bruno Mars it’s also his first Top 10 hit because “Grenade” missed it when I re-launched the chart last year. These two artists replaced Jukebox The Ghost who only stayed there for one week and Mic Donet.

While several songs try to reach this part of the chart there is one new song which has a very good outlook. It’s “Des geht si ned aus” (It doesn’t work) by Christine Hödl. Last year she won Die Große Chance (The big chance) an Austria talent show. With her English singles she failed to chart. But with this typical Austro-Pop song she finally made it. “Des geht si ned aus” is this week highest new entry at #19. As always I hope that it will be a big hit here, but there are big doubts. Carly Rae Jepsen’s latest masterstroke “This kiss” climbed 22-16 and is now in the Top 20. Natasha Bedingfield reached this section for the first time since “Pocketful of sunshine” peaked at #15. This time she teamed up with Lifehouse and their song “Between the raindrops” is now at #18.

This week’s greatest gainer of the week is “Maledetto quel giorno” by Emma who had four Top 10 hits including two #1 songs this year. “Maledetto quel giorno” climbed up 37 spots to 41 in its second week. Her other new song “Ti capita mai” also did well by climbing up 29 spots to #48. The second highest new entry can be found at #69. It’s “Einfach nur weg” (Just to get away) by Johannes Oerdings who is also debuting on my chart. Other new entries are “Without you” by Scouting For Girls (#78), “Mind your manners” by Chiddy Bang feat. Icona Pop (#80), “Shut up (and give me whatever you got) by Amelia Lily (#81), “Schloss” (Castle) by Großstadt Freunde (#87), “Scratch my back” by Aurea (#88), “Ice cream” by Hyuna (#95), “Runnin” by Jake Miller (#97) and “Sky on fire” by Handsome Poets (#99).

Week 92 – December 1^st, 2012

While Cover Drive feat. Dappy broke the next record for staying 14 consecutive weeks in the Top 5 with “Explode” Alanis Morissette is maybe breaking these records within the next week. For now her latest single “Receive” is leading the pack for a fifth week. Only one song at the podium isn’t from Alanis Morissette because “Woman down” climbed 4-3 and replaced Christina Aguilera’s “Your body” which dropped one spot to #4. Robbie Williams continued his run with Candy to #6. Also doing well is Bruno Mars. “Locked out of heaven” climbed 9-7. Only one song is new within the Top 10. It’s “Stars & lovers” by Matt Cardle at #9 from his first album "Letters.

Last week’s highest new entry “Des geht si ned aus” by Christine Hödl only climbed up 3 spots to #16. This week’s greatest gainer also debuted last week. British band Scouting for Girls’ newest single “Without you” sprinted up 60 spots to #18. It’s their first single since “This ain’t a love song” back in 2010 I really like. Elle King gave a notable comeback. “Playing for keeps” was on its way out of my chart, but this week I started to play this song more and more. So “Playing for keeps” returned to a new peak at #20 in its 14th week.

The highest new entry comes from a Canadian country duo. Autumn Hill’s is formed by Mike Robins and Tareya Green. Their debut single “Anything at all” starts its chart career outside the Top 50 at #54. Also placing her debut single on my chart is Nikki Williams. Her song “Kill f*ck marry” debuts at #66. Only one spot behind is Lana Del Rey with her latest song “Ride”. Other new entries are “What you've done to me” by Samantha Jade the recent Australian X-Factor winner (#72), “Men do what they can” by Ivy Quainoo (#74), “Whisper” by Superbus (#80), “Whatever you’re looking for” by Benjamin Boyce (#85), “Another love” by Tom Odell (#86), “Just be” by Paloma Faith (#91), “Farewell” by Solid Tube (#94) and “Little things” by One Direction (#97).

Week 93 – December 8^th, 2012

Alanis Morissette is still rocking. For a sixth week in a row “Receive” is holding the top position of my chart. It’s the longest run at #1 since Cover Drive feat. Dappy set a new record with “Explode” (#6) this year. Next week will show if she will break this record. Miriam Bryant still must be satisfied with the runner’s up position with “Finders keepers”. As the Top 4 is holding steady the Podium is complete with “Woman down” the second actual Top 10 track by Alanis Morissette. Robbie Williams reached a new peak with “Candy” (#5). Three songs fell out of the Top 10. A little bit surprising is that Bruno Mars and his “Locked out of heaven” (#12) dropped after peaking last week at #7. Maybe he is returning next week. New in this section is “Between the raindrops” by Lifehouse feat. Natasha Bedingfield (#7). Taking the chart by storm is British band Scouting for Girls. Their recent single “Without you” climbed 18-8 in its 3rd week. And finally one of this year’s biggest star from Canada grabs her third Top 10 hit. “This kiss” by Carly Rae Jepsen climbed 14-10.

Left outside the Top 10 has been German act Leslie Clio. Dropping down two spots with “Told you so” (#13) she still has the chance to reach this goal. Last week’s biggest sensation “Playing for keeps” by Elle King climbed to a new peak (#15). Reaching the Top 20 are Marina and the Diamonds with “How to be a heartbreaker” (#17) and Tal with “Rien n’est parfait” (#20). The highest new entry comes from Denmark. The Danish band The Storm had two charting hits before with “Lost in the fire” reaching the Top 10 last year. With “Raver” (#26) they are in a good position to repeat this success. How do you recognize that the year comes to an end? Yes, you are right. The X-Factor seasons all over the world are ending. Last week Australians winner song “What you’ve done to me” (#32) by Samantha Jade got a solid debut. This week this song is the greatest gainer of the week and now we see Germans X-Factor winner debuting. Last year’s winning title “I’m here” by David Pfeffer peaked at #43. His follow up Mrs. Greenbird did better with their catchy folk song “Shooting stars & fairy tales” (#41).

Between the new entries you can find three new songs by Kate Voegele. “Beg you to fall” (#59), “Unusual” (#62) and “Enjoy the ride” (#71) are completing a bunch of songs from her album “Gravity happens”. At the moment she has six songs on my chart. Other new entries come from Moya with “Making me fall” (#60), Olly Murs feat. Flo Rida with “Troublemaker” (#61), MacKenzie Porter with “I wish I’d known” (#91), Wild Belle with “Keep you” (#92), Corneille with “Le bar des sentimentalistes” (#94), The Sinderellas with “My mother used to tell me” (#97), Lena Meyer-Landrut with “To the moon” (#99) and Madness with “My girl 2” (#100).

Week 94 – December 15^th, 2012

Until now most of my #1 songs stayed only one or two weeks at the top. In September it changed with Cover Drive feat. Dappy and their “Explode” (#7) which has been #1 for six weeks. This week Alanis Morissette broke this record with a consecutive run. “Receive” is the first song spending seven weeks at #1. And Alanis Morissette is the first act topping the chart with two songs since Anouk topped the chart with three songs in October 2011. “Finders keepers” (#3) by Miriam Bryant dropped down one spot. The Top 5 is completed with two new songs. “Without you” is continuing the good run by Scouting for Girls (#4). And the duet “Between the raindrops” by Lifehouse feat. Natasha Bedingfield climbed 7-5. Back in the Top 10 is Bruno Mars with “Locked out of heaven” (#10).

Canadian country act Autumn Hill gains the greatest gainer of the week with their song “Anything at all” (#11) which could lead them easily into the top songs of my chart. Taylor Swift who is actually promoting “We are never ever getting back together” (#12) in Germany only can be found outside the Top 10 after 14 weeks. Between the spots 11 – 20 there are several new songs. So Emma is on her way to score her fifth Top 10 hit with “Maledetto quel girono” (#17). Also doing well is Australian X-Factor winner Samantha Jade. Her power song “What you’ve done to me” (#18) is rising up the chart fast. The highest new entry is a song which is a little bit older. Due to the fact Natasha Bedingfield finally reached the Top 5 with “Between the raindrops” one of her other duet songs gave its debut. It is “As long as we got love” (#63) which is also a duet. This time it’s a song with US The Voice winner Javier Colon.

But there are some other interesting new entries. Gossip who entered the Austrian Chart with “Perfect world” (#81) this year in April gives now the chart debut. Also starting a charting career is Kate Nash. Her release “Fri-end?” (#99) only reached a debut at the bottom of the chart. Other debuts are “Aim high” by Sing um dein Leben (Sing for your life, #79), “Sight of you” by Tulisa (#82), “We fly” by J.O.E.L. (#84), “Cold” by Blitzkids mvt. (#89), “Ca§h out” by Angelika Vee vs. Kylian Mash (#90), “This is love” by In My Days (#93), “I’ll drink to that” by Outasight (#96) and “Can’t rewind” by Tasha (#98).

Week 95 – December 22^nd, 2012

The world didn’t end this week. So I’m happy to present the next and final edition for the chart year 2012. As in the last seven weeks I’ve no new #1. Alanis Morissette is still at #1 with her hit song “Receive” which failed to get attention on the radio stations worldwide. New at the runner’s up position is UK band Scouting For Girls with the beautiful song “Without you”. Also climbing up to a new high and completing the podium are Lifehouse and Natasha Bedingfield. For both “Between the raindrops” is their first Top 3 hit on my chart. Falling down, but not outside the Top 5, are “Woman down” by Alanis Morissette (#4) and “Finders keepers” by Miriam Bryant (#5). While these songs are falling down the chart former #1 “Explode” (#6) by Cover Drive feat. Dappy is climbing up one spot in its 17th week within the Top 10. Two songs also made it for the first time into the Top 10. Canadian country duo Autumn Hill climbed up two spots with their debut “Anything at all” (#9). And Austrian singer Christine Hödl finally reached a Top 10 spot with her first German song “Des geht si ned aus” (#10).

Australian X-Factor winner Samantha Jade is on her way with “What you’ve done to me” climbing 18-11. Kelly Clarkson who dominated my chart with one #1 song this year is back in the Top 20 with “Catch my breath” (#17) from her best of album. Another dominator places two songs for the first time this week in the Top 20. It’s Emma with “Maledetto quell giorno” (#14) and “Ti capita mai” (#19). The highest new entry comes from Taylor Swift. Her promotional single “Red” debuts at #21 while her actual US hit “I know you were trouble.” is in a waiting position. The greatest gainer of the week is the cooperation “Ca$h out” (#60) by Moldavian singer Angelika Vee and French DJ Kylian Mash. Their release stormed up 30 spots, but missed the Top 50 this week.

All in all the new entries are dominated by Matt Cardle. His new album “The fire” is out in the UK since weeks and he released two singles out of this album. Here in Austria this album and these singles aren’t available until now so I decided to debut the last five songs of his debut album “Letters”. Therefore he debuts with “Letters” (#57), “Sparks” (#58), “Walking on water” (#68), “Reflections” (#69) and “Slowly” (#70). Hopefully his new album will be available next year. Then the show “The Voice of Germany” ended. This year the show had been dominated by candidates from England, Luxemburg and the USA and sure from Germany who placed two candidates under the Top 4. Winner of the show had been English singer Nick Howard. His new single “Unbreakable” (#90) gives him a very bad debut because the winning song of the first season debuted straight in my Top 10. The only other song from “The Voice of Germany” comes from Luxemburg’s bar keeper James Borges. His debut “Lonely” (#89) is only placed one spot in front of Nick Howard.

Other new entries come from Ed Sheeran with “Give me love” (#50), Rita Ora with “Radioactive” (#66), Sasha Lopez feat. Ale Blake & Broono with “Everybody feels alright” (#75), Alicia Keys with “Girl on fire” (#92), Laura Jansen feat. Tom Chaplin with “Same heart” (#94), Blue with “Hurt lovers” (#95) and Rick Springfield with “I hate myself” (#97).

Week 96 – December 29^th, 2012

With the last chart of the year an area is going to an end. After eight consecutive weeks Alanis Morissette has to give up the top position with “Receive” (#2). Slipping down made the way free for – no it isn’t Scouting For Girls – Lifehouse feat. Natasha Bedingfield. Their song “Between the raindrops" stole the #1 in the very last moment while “Without you” (#3) dropped one spot. Two new songs complete the Top 5. First to mention is Samantha Jade. Her Australian X-factor winning single “What you’ve done to me” (#4) shot straight into this section. And Carly Rae Jepsen is completing with “This kiss” (#5). Apart from Samantha Jade’s Top 10 debut Emma is back. “Maledetto quell giorno” climbed up 5 spots. These songs replaced “Your body” (#16) by Christina Aguilera and “Des geht si ned aus” (#11) by Christine Hödl.

In promising positions are Kelly Clarkson with “Catch my breath” (#13) and The Storm with “Raver” (#12) apart from a possible return of “Des geht si ned aus”. The highest new entry is another X-factor winning single. This time it comes from Italy. Chiara Galiazzo won this contest. Her single had a #1 debut on the Italian chart. On my chart she debuts at #17 with “Due respiri” (Two breaths). For a second week the project between Angelika Vee and Kylian Mash is the greatest gainer of the week. This time “Ca$h out” (#39) climbed up 21 spots.

Beside the 12 new entries not only official singles are placed. “What if we were real” (#51) by Mandisa and “New York City” (#89) by Among Savages are these songs. I haven’t found any information about releasing these songs as singles, but I like these songs so I decided to chart them.
