Guys, today Dan announced that he must step down as compiler for the chart. With all of his schooling he just doesnt have the time anymore, so the Feb. 1st edition will be his last.
I'd like to personally thank Dan for all the great work, time, and devotion he put into the chart though, hes done one hell of a job and he really cant be replaced.
At this time I am asking for volunteers to compile the chart. If you have any interest whatsoever, please contact me through PM or on MSN at schmidtster4@hotmail.com
Thanks

I would but I'm always wary of taking on too many things at once due to my limited time, so I'll have to pass.

Maybe it's the idea of doing the chart for an untold duration of time that's unappealing. Would anyone be insterested in volunteering in one-month blocks? If this was the case, I would volunteer to do the entire months of July and August of 2009. (possibly even June ) Since January is already finished, there's 1/4 to 1/3 of the year already spoken for ;D Just a thought.

I'd consider that for a month. ;D

I would do it, but with so many things going on my mind and with me running a Team Mixi fanpage, I wouldn't be able to find time to do it.

I'd consider that for a month. ;D That would be cool of you Bry! I think that the sign-up sheet is just a temporary solution, for which I'll hope for various volunteers until someone wants the job full-time, or until Cody or I can take it back

If no one is willing to take this on, Bry could send over the GlobalChart spreadsheet every week to either Dan or Cody (or even I'd be willing to do this), and then one of us could just edit the formula in the points column to only allow the reporters who have a majority of Rock/Alternative songs on their chart.
This would be a quick and easy fix, and would only take about fifteen minutes to make the chart (as opposed to several hours, the way it's currently done).
The downside of compiling the chart this way is that it would mean certain contributors wouldn't be able to participate, because they post separate rock charts and don't have a majority of rock/alt on their personal charts. It would be a quick fix for the time being though.
Just a thought.

As soon as I get into my new place, which should be soon, I should have more time so I may be able to take over if no one is interested. I can't make any guarantees at this point, though.

As of today, I am once again compiling the Rock/Alternative 40. I'm not sure if this will pose a problem for me later on, but since I have the means, I will re--take--up the dutiful task of compiling the M4B Alt/Rock chart. ;D If anyone is interested in compiling, and/or commentating for the Alternative/Rock 40, feel free to contact me 24/7.
