#10. Buzz! The Mega Quiz (PlayStation 2)
Buzz! was a game that I picked up on a whim one day at the local GameStop. I've always been a trivia buff, so this looked like a lot of fun. Only problem is that this game is suited for 2 or more people, but is most fun with 3 or 4. It was hard enough to get 3 of my friends together with our various work schedules, let alone actually want to play a game. Regardless, this game was mad fun when we could find the time for it and it is well deserving of #10 on the list.
#9. NASCAR 09 (PlayStation 3)
Well, this was better than 08... and 07, and 06, and 05. I really think that 09 was the best NASCAR game since the best console version, NASCAR Thunder 2004. Although, it still had its fair share of issues. I picked up both the PS2 and PS3 versions, but the PS3 version was better. Though I didn't like the fact that the PS3 lacked the on-screen leaderboard and didn't have offline multiplayer. WTF? At least it handled better than the 08 version.
#8. Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo DS)
Wow. This game was an awesome experience and I had mad fun with it. It was frustrating, engaging and exciting all at the same time. I haven't played a Zelda game all the way through since Ocarnia of Time, and Phantom Hourglass was my favorite RPG of the year. Only complaint I have is that its hard to play this a second time through because nothing changes. Maybe in a few years I'll pick it up again.
#7. SmackDown vs Raw 2009 (Playstation 3)
Ever since I first started reading up on this game in July, I was very excited for it. 2009 is the best wrestling game in a long time, possibly ever and its only going to get better. My only gripes were that the created wrestlers had to be brought through the somewhat boring career mode to raise their stats. Thankfully, a patch is being released next year to fix this and at that time I will start focusing on this feature more. It's a big deal, but at least the in-game roster is big enough were its not as big of a problem as it could've been. The controls I was skeptical about at first, but I got used to them and they really aren't that bad. The graphics are top notch and the match flow is pretty good too. Definately one of the best wrestling games in a long time.
I'll have the rest of my list posted later tonight or this week!
