This reached #33 on the Hot 100 back in early 1981.
I actually think this is one of her more underrated songs... kinda rock-influenced in a way. It sounds way ahead of her time, as I find it very Taylor Dayne-esque. Wish it would've done better than it did!

As did I at the time! It's one of my most favourite Donna Summer songs, a complete change of pace for her, and the more rock-oriented album The Wanderer (from which it comes) proved that she could do pop/rock just as well as R&B/dance. Totally underrated, sounds just fine years later!

I Book Clubbed this! I like this one. I never even thought of Taylor Dayne until I saw FreakyFlyBry's post but now I definitely hear it!

Actually then, given the chronology, Taylor Dayne would be Donna Summer-esque!!

Great song here. Very much overlooked in her great music library. I find that the first single off the album, "The Wanderer", although it did well on the charts at the time (#3), is also overlooked and underplayed compared to her other hits.
