This is rumoured to be the 3rd single off Love Angel Music Baby in the UK.
Why!?! Any one of the 80s songs would've been a MUCH better choice. It's a good song, just not single material.

"Harajuku Girls" sounds to me like a song that would be more successful in Europe. It's got a very synth-pop sound and sounds a bit more international to me. I can't see "Hollaback Girl" being popular in the UK. Personally, I hope she releases "Cool" as a single from the CD. I think that's definitely single material. It reminds me a little bit of "Running" from the Rock Steady album.

I completely agree with you. It seems like they're just dancing around "Cool". I really do hope "Cool" gets released and is more successful than "Running". "Hollaback Girl" wouldn't make a good choice for the UK. I was thinking along the lines of releasing "The Real Thing" or "Serious" for Europe.
"Running" was great! I was happy that "Running" became a single. ;D

The problem with Gwen's album is that it's SO diverse - picking a single to appeal to the masses is nearly impossible ("Rich Girl" was the only one that could achieve such a feat)
Harajuku Girls will flop in the US - but would probably do very well overseas. From what I've seen / heard, "Hollaback Girl" is getting insane reactions from early Club play and all the people I know love it.
It would the most sense to release "Hollaback Girl" or "Cool" at this point - although Harajuku Girls is good, it's just not good enough.

Fun song, but it'll flop in the US.
I think "Hollaback Girl" is the right choice for single #3. As for the fourth...I'm in the minority here, but I don't want "Cool" released. I think "Serious" would be a better choice.

From the UK release schedule, "Hollaback Girl" has been listed as an upcoming release.
Looks like "Harajuku Girls" might not get a release after all.

If this song is released, Gwen isn't going to have four back-to-back #1 singles on my chart.

Good song, but definately not the best on the album.

As an album track, I love this. It's nothing like mainstream stuff at all...I think its brilliant.
