With this Fall seeing some huge comebacks and new releases, two of the world's best selling female acts coincidentally are releasing their albums on the same date. Britney and Kylie are both scheduled to drop their fifth and tenth studio albums, respectively, on the 12th of November in the UK. This is the first time this has happened, 2003's Body Language and In The Zone were both released in the UK on Nov. 17. Body Language achieved #6, while In The Zone went in at #13. So, the question is, after a four year absence from both of these artists, who will enter higher this time around? Here is some UK sales and chart data to consider: Britney: ...Baby One More Time | #4 | 3x Platinum | 1,100,000 | Oops!...I Did It Again | #2 | 3x Platinum | 910,000 | Britney | #4 | Platinum | 460,000 | In The Zone | #13 | Platinum | 550,000 |
Kylie: Kylie | #1 | 6x Platinum | 2,100,000 | Enjoy Yourself | #1 | 4x Platinum | 1,300,000 | Rhythm Of Love | #9 | Platinum | 400,000 | Let's Get To It | #15 | Gold | 200,000 | Kylie Minogue | #4 | Gold | 100,000 | Impossible Princess | #10 | Gold | 100,000 | Light Years | #2 | Platinum | 300,000 | Fever | #1 | 5x Platinum | 1,680,000 | Body Language | #6 | Platinum | 400,000 |

Even disregarding the chart comparisons, I'd say Kylie is almost a lock to do better in the UK than Britney in the "comeback war"...simply because she's Kylie.
But I think it'll also come down to which debut single is better received. If Kylie drops a "stinker" as her first single, then maybe she'll beat out Britney by a smaller margin.

In the UK, obviously Kylie. But in worldwide totals, I think Britney could pull it out.

I hear it's also against mariah. She is coming back with a new album My vote is Britney Kylie is good, but i have never been a fan of her. She is one of those artists i would never buy a single or an album of.
