Kelly Clarkson spent 7 weeks at #1, since I was such a conformist during my early days of charting.
I'm not very fond of the whole "Idol" phenomenon, so it's quite unlikely for this record to ever be broken.

Kelly by far. Walk Away spent 8 weeks at #2 and 21 weeks in the top 10. Addicted hit #53 despite never being released as a proper single. Gone was also never a single and hit #15. Because of You peaked at #3.
The only other Idol contestants to chart on my chart is Mario Vazquez with "Gallery" and Carrie Underwood with "Some Hearts."

1. Kelly Clarkson 2. Carrie Underwood 3. Taylor Hicks 4. Katharine McPhee 5. Ruben Studdard 6. Clay Aiken 7. Jasmine Trias 8. Fantasia Barrino 9. Diana DeGarmo 10. Bo Bice
Almost every finalist made it on my countdown, but Kelly's the most successful with Carrie catching up real fast.
