The three to drop 1-out of the top ten are all unfortunately shared by Madonna:
1-20 "Like A Virgin/Hollywood/Work It Live At VMA's 2003", Madonna/Britney/Christina/Missy 1-15 "Love Profusion", Madonna (this was from the first time it went to #1 in December '03, went back on top a separate time in March) 1-11 "Die Another Day", Madonna
Also worth mentioning: "Miss You", Aaliyah (1-13)

I think the biggest fall from number one for me would be 1 - 5 and that doesn't happen too much. #1 songs 98% of the time dip to #2 or #3.

This record belongs to Made-On-TV Canadian Popstars Velvet Empire. Their debut single, "Frontin' On Me" dropped 1-14.
Janet Jackson is in second place, having had "All For You" fall from 1-13.

Wow! After seeing some of the huge drops you guys have charted, I feel almost guilty to tell you that the biggest drop from my #1 has been all the way down to ... #4 ... and that's happened only once. It happened to John Mayer's "Bigger Than My Body," after it had spent 4 weeks at #1. Despite that drop, however, the track spent a total of 25 weeks on my chart, and it finished up 2003 as my fifth biggest point-earner.

Well, before two weeks ago, I used to base my charts strictly on what was on the current top 40 charts. Stupid of me, I know, but I've switched to whatever the hell I wanted to. Therefore, the biggest drop from #1 that I've had was Dido, with "White Flag". It was at it's 3rd week at the top, and looking for a few more, but then fell off the chart completely, since it slid off the top 40. The next biggest drop would be Beyonce's "Baby Boy". It went from #1 to #10. Next, I think it's Ashlee Simpson with "Pieces Of Me". She went from #1 to #7. However, the song then rebounded to the top 5 and stayed there for countless weeks. I think that's it.

'Smooth' fell 1-14, I think. Weird because I think it also moved 14-1. So 4 weeks at #1 and 4 weeks in the Top 10? Not 100% though.

I think it was Everlast "What It's Like" that moved 1-14 after reclaiming #1 after a long time out... was it after Chantal that he reclaimed #1? I know Alanis Morissette also had a fast fall from #1 with "So Pure"... 1-10, I think.

Oh yes, and Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" also slid from 1-off, just like Dido.
