I've had several, but not that many infact on my daily and weekly countdowns.
DAILY: Sugababes *At the time, they were IDRL On The Vergers* Stronger - 1@1 Supernatural - #30
Round Round - 5@1 Shape - #35
P.O.D. Youth Of The Nation - Few days at #1 Boom - Not even close to the top 10 *I think*
Britney Spears I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman - #1 Overprotected - Barely cracked top 10, was hyped to hit #1 at least 5 times.

The biggest flop following a #1 on my chart belongs to none other than Miss. Britney Spears, who followed up the massive, 3-week-#1 hit "Toxic" with...
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Britney hasn't charted since "Toxic" fell off.

My biggest flop after a #1 hit is Kylie Minogue - "Red Blooded Woman" hit #1 for two weeks (and is the only song from Kylie's new album I like, so none of the other songs from the album will chart or make my bubbling under). Brandy hit #1 with "Talk About Our Love", and "Who Is She 2 U" did not chart. Now she ties with Kylie for biggest flop after hitting #1 on my chart. Same thing with JoJo - "Leave (Get Out)" went to #1, but "Baby It's You" does not look like it will make my chart at all. Also, Beyonce had a #1 hit with "Naughty Girl" but "Dangerously In Love 2" and "The Closer I Get To You" both failed to make my chart.

Dashboard Confessional They debuted at #1 with Saints And Sailors, but has never managed to hit #1 ever since. Their third single from their unplugged album never charted.
Avril Lavigne Every single one of her singles made their way to #1, but her 2nd single off Under My Skin proved to be a flop. Although a #3 peak for My Happy Ending may be great, it's a flop since she's been #1 so many times. It just goes to show you that after 5 #1 songs, if you even peak at #2, it's still bad when it comes to 2002's Breakout Artist Of The Year on IDRL.
Kylie Minogue While Slow had a brief drop-off, Obsession was able to make a stand. She notched 2 days at #1 and retired after 55 days. When Slow returned, she could never hit top 10.
Jamie Lynn Sigler Cry Baby charted on my 1st IDRL countdown@ATRL in 2001. Since then she hasn't gone top 10, though Come With Me was an underground hit.

Usher Since U Got It Bad debuted at #1, he hasn't gotten the love since, and has yet to even hit #1. With all the hype My Boo had, it was a flop even though it peaked at #3.
JoJo After a great start with Leave, JoJo hasn't hit #1 since around April as Baby It's You peaked at #3, but since she had 14 days at #1 with Leave, it was a flop.
Britney Spears Poor girl, she hasn't been #1 all year. Me Against The Music hit #1, but then she followed up with the faulty Toxic and the terribly poor performed Everytime. She did hit #1 again with Outrageous, only to miss it with the critically acclaimed My Prerogative, which hit #2...but flopped compared to all her success.

Kelly Clarkson is the biggest example of this. After Behind These Hazel Eyes peaked at #1 for five consecutive weeks and went double platinum, expectations were high for the single that would follow. Unfortunately, Because Of You, at the time, was extremely overrated in my eyes, and it just bugged the living crap out of me. Also, I wasn't feeling the song then, as much as I feel it now. This resulted in the track peaking at #17, which is definitely considered a flop on the Hot 21 Pop, following a #1 smash. Today, Because Of You, would have a shot at going top 5, but I digress.
Mariah Carey had a similar experience with Shake It Off, following the MONSTER success of We Belong Together, which hit #1 for four non-consecutive weeks, went double platinum, and was later crowned the #1 song of 2005. Shake It Off had an extremely slow start, and after hovering around the bottom of the chart for awhile, it was only able to take baby steps ahead, eventually peaking at #16. Flop? Considering all factors, it most certainly was.
No tears shed, though, because I have no regrets. What happened, happened.

This title definitely goes to Shakira. She hit #1 with "Don't Bother" on January 14, 2006. "Timor" then flopped at #94 before "Hips Don't Lie" charted.

After a #1? Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmm... *ponders* ... Kelly Osbourne - #1 for 5 weeks with "One Word" "Red Light" or any of her other singles did not chart. Armchair Cynics - #1 for 1 week with "Bang" "Coalmine" only got to #12. Arcade Fire - #1 for 6 weeks with "Rebellion (Lies), for 3 with "Neighbourhood #3 (Power Out)" and got to #2 with "Wake Up" "Neighbourhood #2 (Laika)" only got to #17...
OH YEAH! Natasha Bedingfield - #1 for 1 week with "These Words" "Unwritten" got to #12.

The last single whose follow-up didn't reach the NM chart was "So What Can I Do / Trouble Is" by the Cranebuilders. That single was the Christmas #1 of 2004, beating off the challenge of "Interstate 5" by the Wedding Present and stayed on top for 5 weeks.
Their follow-up "Public Space" was originally scheduled for release sometime around September 2005 and was extremely difficult to find. After a couple of weeks of searching I gave up, but did finally find it in October 2005. In spite of a rule I had made in 2002 that a hard-to-find single could be charted if it finally appeared in the shop later, I didn't chart it. But you could say it failed more on a technicality rather than lack of quality.
The last follow-up to a #1 single that actually flopped was "Blinded By The Lights" by the Streets, the follow-up to "Dry Your Eyes". This was in September 2004 - it did reach my bubblers - was the 4th placed bubbler and the chart was a top 60 at the time (it was a top 60 for just a few weeks). No act (discounting the Cranebuilders) has had a flop follow-up to a #1 in a bigger chart. The Streets were actually in the bubblers for 2 weeks - together with (and below) Strasbourg by the Rakes - who would go on to have a #1 in 2005 with Work Work Work (Pub Club Sleep).
Among others who flopped after a #1 are Eminem - his only NM hit "Stan" topped the chart for 7 weeks. He did also appear uncredited on "My Band" by D12.
