Has one song been represented by more than one act DURING THE SAME CHART WEEK? I found three examples on my chart: November 9, 1991 01 01 GARTH BROOKS - SHAMELESS02 04 Roberta Flack & Maxi Priest - Set The Night To Music 03 03 Cher - Save Up All My Tears 04 02 Salt 'N Pepa - Let's Talk About Sex 05 06 Prince - Cream 06 05 Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch - Good Vibrations 07 07 Eddie Money - Heaven In The Back Seat 08 12 Linda Ronstadt - Dreams To Dream 09 11 Michael Bolton - When A Man Loves A Woman 10 13 BILLY JOEL - SHAMELESSBilly Joel only spent 2 weeks at #10, but Garth Brooks went on to claim the #1 song of the year with "Shameless". August 2, 1997 01 02 Will Smith - Men In Black 02 05 LEANN RIMES - HOW DO I LIVE03 01 Tim McGraw w/Faith Hill - It's Your Love 04 03 Bob Carlisle - Butterfly Kisses 05 09 Backstreet Boys - Quit Playing Games 06 06 Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life 07 04 various artists - ESPN Jock Jam 08 08 Reba McEntire - I'd Rather Ride Around With You 09 11 George Strait - Carrying Your Love With Me 10 13 TRISHA YEARWOOD - HOW DO I LIVELeAnn Rimes would eventually hit #1 the week Trisha Yearwood fell from her peak position of #8. The third example is "I Believe" which is currently charting in the Top 10 by Fantasia Barrino and Diana DeGarmo.

I don't think it's ever happened before on my chart, even for the entire top 40/100 chart. The closest I can come up with is Eamon and Frankee charting at the same time.

I have never had any two versions of the same song in the top 40 at the same time in the 17 years I've been doing this.

Never happened on my chart either. This is a pretty extreme record.

I would count Madonna's "Hollywood" and the MTV VMA performance with Britney and Christina of "Like a Virgin" which also included "Hollywood", as well as Missy Elliott's "Work It".
9/10/03 1 - Like A Virgin, Hollywood, & Work It Live At MTV VMA’s 2003, Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, & Missy Elliott 3 - Hollywood, Madonna
Also interesting to note the VMA performance including "Hollywood" not only debuted at #1, but also knocked "Hollywood" from the #1 spot after 11 weeks as an attempt to get it to #1 on Top Hits Online.
Fantasia Barrino hit #2 with "I Believe"; Diana DeGarmo may very likely make my chart with the same song while Fantasia's version is still on my chart.

That's hard to do, but it's happened on mine! On my daily countdown several months ago, Karma by both Lloyd Banks and Alicia Keys both made my countdown at the same time. While Lloyd Banks flopped missing the top 20, Alicia Keys went the distance getting her first #1 with her Karma, and retired.
That's pretty much it.

'Falling Stars' by Sunset Strippers and 'Star2Fall' by Cabin Crew are currently on my chart. I've charted them together for most of their run. They are both dance songs which use the same 80s song and sound very similar.
There's an interesting reason behind this though. Cabin Crew are Australian and were going to release their version, however, Sony (or BMG) held the rights to the original and didn't allow Cabin Crew to use it. So Cabin Crew got the original artist to record their lyrics again for their version. But Sony (or SonyBMG as it is here) decided to use their rights to release their own and got a UK DJ to do their version, hence why there are two versions.
I'm sure I've had other cases.

Has never happen. I'm don't even think I've charted two different songs with the same name at once. The opportunity rarely comes.

I have, however, had some songs with the same title back to back on my chart.
In 1999, for instance, the Cranberries and Def Leppard were back to back for a week with "Promises".
Then in 2004, Sarah McLachlan and Mya were back to back with "Fallen", and later on in the year, Melissa Etheridge and Michelle Branch were back to back with "Breathe". Then it happened again when Fefe Dobson and Alanis Morissette were back to back with "Everything".
