WHITESNAKE "Here I Go Again"
August 22, 1987 #21 --> #2
Whitesnake hold the record for the largest jump to #2, however "Here I Go Again" never made it to #1, despite a very popular video featuring Tawny Kitaen. ;D
JANE CHILD "Don't Wanna Fall In Love"
March 17, 1990 #13 --> #2
Even though Jane Child would spend 4 weeks at #1, she nearly became a one hit wonder on UU-BRU Internet Radio. Her follow up single, "Welcome To The Real World", managed to spend a single week at #40.
TIM McGRAW "Don't Take The Girl"
June 4, 1994 #17 --> #2
When Tim McGraw jumped from #17 to #2, he was kept out by Collin Raye's "Little Rock", which made a stellar move the same week from #10 to #1. Tim McGraw ended up spending 4 weeks at #1, ranking at #2 for 1994.
