I agree on all of them except "Since U Been Gone" and ESPECIALLY "I Could Fall In Love". Don't hate Selena.

2. Kelly Clarkson, "Because Of You" (2004)Album: Breakaway It's finally here! Coming it at #2, the highest-ranking Kelly song of all, and the highest-ranking American Idol single, for that matter. Again, another simple, done-over love song, only this time it's a slow balled which drones on and on and on and on and on. Every time I hear it, it just fades into the ceiling, and the walls, because it's got nothing to it, it just goes on, and on, and on, making me more and more queasy with each second that passes by. Another futile attempt at garnering sympathy; I wasn't in the least bit moved by this TV-made millionaire's sob story. I can't even take her seriously. Her entire career in music is nothing but a complete and total joke. If you were moved by these lyrics, I suggest you wipe off the crocodile tears.1. Pink, "Dear Mr. President" (2006)Album: I'm Not Dead Well, this is it. The #1 most disgusting, most tasteless, most unpleasant song I've ever heard. Pink, a singer I used to like somewhat (though I wasn't a huge fan), totally lost all my respect upon releasing this garbage. There are so many things wrong with this record, I don't even know where to begin. First of all, you can write a political protest song without denigrating our leader. Salt 'N Pepa did it ("Heaven Or Hell", anyone). Even John Lennon did it, although as horrid as his song was, he didn't denigrate Lyndon Johnson or Richard Nixon. If anything, Pink should be grateful for the very fact that she has the right, protected by our First Amendment, to disparage President Bush in the way she did. I don't want to provoke a political debate here, but the fact is, we are at war, and in such a time, it is essential that everyone be a part of the war effort. Ideas such as those proposed in this song are undermining that effort, and sadly, easily appeal to the young audience, and therefore, add more dollars to the 250 grand Pink already has in her billfold. Who is she to talk about the "homeless on the street", when she was raised in an upper-class white household? She knows little, if anything, about the "hard work" she rants about. I'd like to see how much she donates, to see if she really puts her money where her mouth is. In fact, I've passed by homeless on the street every day of my life, living here in the Bronx. And, wouldn't you know, it was Republican mayor Rudy Giuliani who was far more instrumental in controlling the poverty situation in New York City than his predecessor, Democrat David Dinkins. "How do you sleep while the rest of us cry?" Yeah right. As if everyone in this country is crying each night because Bush is in office. Fat chance. "How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?" I'd dream knowing that he died defending this nation, a cause for which I would, yes I would, take my own daughter's rights away.

You might've put a lot of kickass songs on your list, but I TOTALLY agree with your top 2.

Truly an awful song at #1... and truly an awful album to boot.

The biggest disagrement ever at #1. I'm not going to start any arguments, because they would probably go on forever without resolution. Seb, you have the right to your own opinon, and I respect that. Oh, and disagreed at #2 as well.

I'm not going to start an argument, but since you expressed your opinion I feel I want to express mine. I don't mean any offence so if I seem like i'm attacking you, I'm sorry. Firstly, yes you can write a protest song without insulting the leader but Pink felt this was the best way to do this song, right or wrong she did it. Secondly, who said she wasn't grateful for the oppurtunity to express her opinion, she never once stated that. I don't think that she is undermining war efforts, she saying she sees no reason to be at war, these are peoples lives we're talking about not robots. Why are you bringing her upbringing into question? It's not her job to help every starving person, but as the president it is Bushs job to do so. I don't know if Pink contributes to charity a lot and maybe she is being hypocritical about it, I don't know. And when talking about Republicans and Democrats, firstly your talking about one area of the enitre country the Republicans did better at and secondly the song is about Bush not his party. Don't think people don't cry about Bush being in office, people in New Orleans cried for help and Bush could've done more. And what about families of soldiers (sp?) who lost there children to a war they don't believe in. Finally (and this may be offensive so I apoligize) HOW DARE YOU think you have the right to take someone elses rights away, I don't care what you believe you DO NOT have the right to tell someone else what they can and can't do, as long as they aren't hurting anyone.

Wow, I'm surprised "Helicopter" by Bloc Party didn't make the list, especially as it insinuates that Bush is a racist.

And no Kanye West or 'Mosh' by Eminem? ^ Seb likes those. Kanye: he made a ridiculous comment on national TV in September 2005, which caused me to lose some of my respect for him. Still, he's one of my favorite rappers out there, so I really saw no need to include him on this list. Eminem: I've been a pretty big fan of Eminem ever since his early days (back in the late 90's). He's a die-hard liberal, there's no question about it, but I find "Mosh" an incredibly catchy song, regardless of its content.
