I assume this is for a new computer... Laptop or desktop?
They're both about the same...
"1.0GB, DDR2-667 SDRAM, 2 DIMMS" means that you'll have 2 memory modules, 512 MB each.
"1.0GB, DDR2-667 SDRAM, 1 DIMM" means that you have one 1 GB memory module, and at least one open slot for additional memory should you decide to upgrade later on.
If the motherboard supports dual-channel memory, you'll get better performance from the "1.0GB, DDR2-667 SDRAM, 2 DIMMS", than you would from just having 1 DIMM module...
If you go with the "1.0GB, DDR2-667 SDRAM, 1 DIMM", an upgrade to 2 GB of memory later on, will cost you about half as much as it would if you were to go with 2 DIMMs.
If you plan on upgrading your memory in the future, and the cost of getting 1 DIMM is the same price as getting 2 DIMMs, then I would suggest getting 1 DIMM... Otherwise, just get 2 DIMMs...
