I just loaded Musicmatch Jukebox onto my brother's computer, and it worked for a day or two with no problem. Now, I keep on getting a message about "Buffer overrun detected... which has corrupted the program's internal state", and it keeps shutting the program down. Some CDs seem to trigger it more than others (I'm trying to download some of his old CDs onto the computer since he's going to move the computer to another city and doesn't want to bring all his old CDs). Could it have something to do with the CDs? I've tried changing to an older version of the program (I thought it was a bug), but the error keeps appearing so it must not be that. On top of that, I think the speakers are acting up, since they've gone all static-y and songs are sometimes played in slow-motion. The song files seem to play fine on a different computer when I move it there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's getting to be a real headache.

Are these custom CDs that are causing your comp to act up? I think it may have to do with the burn speed that the CDs were made at. You may want to re-burn these CDs at a slower speed. If the CD is significantly scratched or damaged on the bottom, that could be causing the error as well..

Now it looks like every CD is causing "buffer overrun" and shutting Musicmatch down, so I removed the program from the computer.
I'm just using Window Media Player now to rip the CDs... is there any disadvantage to using a player like that instead of a specialized player like Musicmatch?
The sound from the speakers are so static-y that the lyrics and dialogue from video became almost unintelligible. A program called Prodigy 7.1 was running, and I changed a few of the settings (something called "latency") and the sound became perfect for about 15 minutes, and then the static returned, but nowhere as horrible as before. I'm not sure what is wrong there.
