I've been looking for a way to get songs off of myspace, and nothing has worked for me so far. There's this new artist I was told about named Kat McGivern ( www.myspace.com/katmcgivern), and I want to download her songs cause I obviously can't find them on LimeWire

Here's a program that records any sound that is sent to the soundcard... Download & Install: opD2d (opcode.co.uk/opd2d/default.asp)Record:1. Go to Start/Run/Type in "sndvol32". Click "Ok". 2. Inside Volume Control, Click "Options/Properties/", Click "Recording", Make sure "Stereo Mixer" is checked, Click "Ok" 3. Make sure where it says "select", underneath "Stereo Mixer", is checked. 4. Open-up opD2d. 5. Choose your path, sampling rate, file format (mp3/wav), and when you want opD2d to stop recording. 6. As soon as you start playing music from MySpace, press "Record" to start recording. Press "Stop" when you're finished. 7. Press escape (esc) to exit opD2d And, that's all there is to it... you should end up with something like this when you finish: www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=4036D33253CB248Bwww.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=966DD27528142BE0

quick question, if the song playing is buffering during the middle of the song, would it include the buffering too?

Yeah, whatever sound gets played to your speakers/headphones gets recorded... So, you might want to turn off your IM sounds and, not open up alot of programs or click on alot of things while recording, so you don't have any pauses...

Is there another way to do this? I just tried that and the file sounds like crap. If you do it right, it should sound exactly like it does when you stream... I know it's not the easiest thing to learn to do... When I first started using this program, it took me like 20 times recording before I finally got the hang of it and got a good quality recording... And actually, there's more that I usually do when I record>> I start recording first and, then go to the website for the stream to start... After the song finishes, I stop recording, then convert the WAV file into an MP3 using another program that I have called WMA Workshop... After that, I increase the volume and edit off the silence at the beginning and end using a sound editing program called Goldwave... Hope this helps...

I have a problem.. The volume control thing gets to playback even though I click Recording... I'm not completely sure what you mean... You only need to do steps 1-3 once... but, it's good to check it again anyway before recording... It's perfectly normal for Volume Control to go back to "Playback" on it's own after you exit...
