Yes, I feel clueless.
When I'm on my computer, as soon as Windows starts, I get these line on my computer that flashes, then it like moves in sequence and appears every like 4 seconds or so. It like makes my computer skip, and eventually freezes. I have no idea why!

Haven't tried...its still doing it, but it only froze up on me once in the past like 18 hours, so I'm not worrying about it at the moment.

Oh today has been quite interesting. As soon as I posted that message, my computer froze. I restarted in safe mode, no problems. Restarted in regular mode, same problem as before.

If I do that system restore thing, that restores it to the last working configuration or whatever, will I lose any files or data?

No, all it does is roll-back your registry settings... you won't lose any of your data or files. The only thing that you lose is the stuff that's saved directly to your desktop.

Well I ran System Restore, but no luck. I eventually went all the way back to when I got the computer, but stilll had the same problem. I figured its a file problem, maybe a virus, but Norton doesn't find anything.

which virus company did you use? Have you tried using ad-aware in safe-mode fully updated or maybe try Trendmicro's online scan
