www.getfirefox.com/Do you use Firefox? ...Want to speed it up? If so follow the instructions below. Only make the following changes, if you have a newer computer and are not using dialup internet:1:- Type about:config in the address field. 2:- Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true". 3:- Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100". 4:- Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true" 5:- Set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "30" Line 5 you might notice is not there, dont panic. Just right click anywhere in the config window and choose New+Integer, from there input the text in line 5 (nglayout.initialpaint) and set the delay to 0. Also, if you have a really fast computer, you can set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "0"... but, I don't recommend it for most computers. 6:- Set the value of network.http.request.max-start-delay to "0" 7:- Set the value of dom.disable_open_click_delay to "0" 8:- Set the value of network.http.max-connections to "32" 9:- Set the value of network.http.max-connections-per-server to "16" 10:- Set the value of network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server to "8" There you go, restart firefox and in 8-10 cases Firefox will have a noticable speed increase. You may have to restart your system if you're using Windows 98. Enjoy.
